As a Houston fan, this rivalry was always embarrassing for me. Whether it was the Oilers or Texans, it was clear this thing with the Dallas Cowboys was more important to Houston then it was Dallas. I'm good with Rockets and Astros fans picking on the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers, but trying to go after the Cowboys was like a 1st grade kid picking on high school kids. Dallas has 5 Super Bowl trophies and have been to like 7 or 8 of them. While Houston, a football obsessed city like every other Texas city has never had an NFL team even reach the Super Bowl.
But I, a viewer in Indiana, always liked the Oilers much better than the "America's Team" Cowboys. They seemed fun loving, whereas the Cowboys had to keep up that highfalutin image. Purdue is just as spirited, and produces great talent, but no men's NCAA titles, to 5 for IU.
Houston and Dallas the cities is the rivalry I believe he was trying to convey here, definitely a rivalry there, Dallas is the city that is internationally recognized as the city of Texas but in the state of Texas Houston is the real heart, Dallas and northeast Texas is really different from the rest of the state, it's like it's not even real Texas, Dallas is like they transplanted LA or NY to Texas and once you go up into the Northeastern corner beyond Dallas its going even further into bizarro world because that part of the state has it's head so far up Dallas' ass it doesn't know what it wants to be, it's really like an extension of Louisiana or Arkansas more than anything else, Texarkana, Jefferson, those areas are very much like cities in Arkansas and Louisiana, it's kind of a bizarre part of the state that has a different feel and different type of people than the rest of the state(it has that Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana type vibe), real Texas is Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Central Texas, South Texas, West Texas that's the real Texas. Wait till a cowboy sticks it up y'all's this Sunday
Don’t forget the Astros
Not really a rivalry when Dallas has the pro bowl hall of Fame and championship's
Texans & Cowboys isn't a rivalry.....
BmoreBirds Nest yes it is
YEA IT IS
Ash&Misty Natsu&Lucy You don't need that to have a rivalry thats not what defines it
Ash&Misty Natsu&Lucy Two texas team trying to prove whos the better team.
If you won’t born or live in Texas then you don’t understand this rivalry, you don’t need any history but hate so don’t talk about our rivalry since you don’t know a damn
The Texans need to return to the oilers name and Tenn can keep the Titans name, the Texans is a stupid name
So Texans secondary really have always been bad
Yes our first round DBs have been outperformed by our late round DBs if that makes any sense
Texans got a better No. 4
Do a packers-bears rivalry video and as always go pack go
Dallas is a way better city than Houston
How is this a rivalry? Texans never win
Nein
this is like the clippers going up against the lakers!! clearly one sided go cowboys
Dallas has won 5 super bowls , houston 0 , enough said
Houston has been a team for 21 years dallas 61 years 😐
