    This is an excerpt from the concert program, "TAPESTRY: Jewish Ghettos of Baroque Italy" designed by Jeannette Sorrell. The text of Karev Yom is from a mystical 6th c. poem reflecting on the event described in Exodus: “At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt.”

    Recently saw this performed live and I felt transported to the days of the Passover. It was haunting and beautifully sung is an understatement!
    I am listening on this Passover 2023 and will make listening to this part of my seder forever.

    I love her voice. But this music experiment is quite specific.
