It's crazy how one performer can make such a difference, as soon as he came back the whole orchestra sounded so much more complete, beautiful performance!
The power of cello!!!
The second cello stepped in like a backup quarterback ready to win.
Well, Vivaldi obviously knew what he was composing, so his composition would be always incomplete without that cello part :)
At the point he came back, sounded more full-bodied of course, 'cos it's 2 cellos vs 1 when the string broke. Besides, sounded like at that point, the ensemble was heading to more vigorous playing, so it's even heavier lower frequencies?
Dude be head banging, this is metal
You should PERFECTLY KNOW that "METAL" is made after classical music ! Normal !
All that ACDC or Van Allen played is totally copied from Bach Toccata et Fugue en ré mineur !!! THE obvious ! And this is ONLY one example...
I really LOVE this masterpiece by Vivaldi, and how this ensemble / ochestra plays it...
made me cry when he came back and started playing almost as if he hadnt stopped!
This was a thrilling performance!
I agree. One of the best performances of La Follia I've seen/heard.
I love vivaldi, this is wonderful, I don’t understand how there are people who don’t like classical music if this is majestic and divine❤️✨
People who say they don’t like it have never listened to any or only have heard very little….ask, next time!
Maravilloso Vivaldi , increíble música y sus intérpretes.
This music is art, Italian composers are masters of baroque music.
Why can't my tears stop no matter how many times I watch it?
Me the same. No explain... that's baroque... that's La Follia.
Because this is truly divine music from the heavens...
5:31!!! What troopers they be! I love watching the eyes of several violinists in the next 20 seconds. Priceless! Rebecca stepped right in... flawless.
Rebecca is the second cellist? And Rene came back with a modern cello bow-perhaps the one with which he should have started! This is heavy gut playing! haha!
@@RhondaBranneky yes
@@redbrian3655 fun! René begins to play like the 2Cellos in 1!!
@@RhondaBranneky they have nothing over him! 😁 He is great! (Even though I love them very much!)
He back for that run with the bass
That was incredible!! There’s that certain something; it’s electric and intoxicating. You don’t know what it is exactly but you recognize it when you see it…. It was all over the place in this performance, both visually and aurally.
One of my favourite baroque songs ever
When I first watched this video, I didn’t realize Apollo’s Fire was the name of
The ensemble. I imagined it was the term for when your bow explodes while you are performing. As in….he played with such passion he invoked Apollo’s fire, which caused his bow to explode from the awesomeness of its power.
Ps. I’ve since become a huge fan. I’m always studying your performances and lectures.
When I wake up in the morning my 2 year old son already has his toy violin asking for this song.
This will be my forever jam
Aaahhh ❤❤ Viva la Vida!!!!!
I'm surprised the audience didn't stand up with their cellphone flash lights on. Great performance.
The lone cello player and bass covered nicely. They must have been scouts!
they had fun, so is perfect.
It is so beautiful, I found myself tearing up by the end of the performance. Truly an amazing experience !
Stupendous! This is how exciting concerts should be
Wait, this version, to my surprise, popped up right after another version I saved under my account here; and, this version I like better 'cos it has more body (the mid and lower region). Wowwwwwwww! More oomph! I love Vivaldi. Also, many (majority) players on this piece I think are the same as in the other piece, Emi Tanabe....... This is versatile ensemble, obviously, as we noticed that the main soloists here are different, and the star violinists in another version by the ensemble featured couple others as soloists. WOWWW! Also, the side show of the broken bow makes it so much more enjoyable? Bravo.
Unbelievable music. It is beyond reality and even magic. Eternal vivaldi god bless your soul
Masterpiece. Bravo!
BRAVO! BRAVO! EXCELLENT! WELL DONE! THE PASSION! THIS IS AN OGANIC PERFORMANCE - BRAVO TO THE CELLIST !
Absolutely fantastic the new version...it's a shame i live in Italy and can't see you live !...but does the job now !!
My all-time favorite Follia performance!
you inspire all artists to be better in all ways. THANK YOU.
Obrigado!
I seem to be binge-ing this piece; glued to a couple of other performances but pulled back to Sorrell's arr. And this, the cello bow sacrificed to passion! What a way to go! This, this is what Wagner chased; "Gesamtkunstwerk". It is a marvel. The music PLUS the players PLUS Sorrell (oh, you think I'm a fan huh?) PLUS the breakages PLUS the audience ... the sum is greater than the parts... I'll shut up now.
Los escucho mínimo cuatro veces al día . Hace dos semanas . Me encanta gracias . Saludos desde Patagonia
Fantastisk ❤🌞
Absolument exhilarating performance.
The amount of quantum energy they are producing with each other to make this sound is quite impressive
awe heck that was so fun! bravo!
That was unbelievable!! Thanks for your bows and souls!
Brilliant!!! That exploding bow made it even more incredible 😍
Bruh got the bow back in time for that epic run...
Absolutely fabulous!
Amazing!!
Joy!
I love, love this performance !!!!
I remember you uploaded this many years ago. (maybe a decade?)
That was the beginning with falling in love with Apollo's baroque.
And this passionate performance is still so great, Viva Vivaldi!
Òh!! But whèŕe is Olivèr B ? AQPOLLO is missing à ray from his cŕown.
Bravo!!!!! Electrifying!!!!
MAGNIFICENT
Ohhh my! Just brilliant 😍😍😍

So metal.
What a magnificent Vivaldi!
What a beauty! Masterfully arranged and played, a real joy to watch at your superb, moving performance. Bravi!!!
UAU... Unbelievable... AMAZING!!!...
Sublime!...
Magnificent... extraordinary performance
Outstanding
Incrível 😍
So delightful : )
I love this Vivaldi music performed by Apollo’s Fire. Such excitement and fun filled musical expression eventually caused the cello’s bow to fracture with explosive energy! It was well handled by everyone, especially the cello players. This unfortunate accident should not define this performance, which was brilliantly played by all, especially the lead violinists. It was nice to see the lead violin positions rotated to give each one the opportunity to show their skills.
Génialissime
so beautiful
Bravo that was a great concert🎉

Splendid. Thanks to All.
Cette version me donne des frissons !❤
Magnificent music. Great recovery by the cellist. We heard this piece in Venice last month in a concert played by Interpreti Veniziani.
