I've had sex, but I'm saving myself for marriage. I've made the decision to wait after marriage to be physical with someone that I have a strong spiritual and emotional relationship with before committing to a marriage. Doesn't take back that I've been intimate with others in the past, but it's a decision that I feel there should be no judgement on. There's nothing wrong with choosing to wait to be with someone special, even if you've already given those parts of yourself away already.
paulinanilah the general meaning of saving yourself for marriage is to not have sex at all until you are married. Obviously people have different interpretations, like some people won’t even hold another persons hand until they are married, or might not even kiss. But as I said, the general idea is abstinence. So if you already have had sex you can’t possibly be waiting till marriage cuz that takes the important part away from the term. Also I completely agree there is nothing wrong with saving yourself but there’s also nothing wrong with not saving yourself, it’s a decision.

Julia Houser I think the issue with these shows is the contestants are cut off from the world and they can only focus on the lead. And when the lead feeds them lines like, “I’m falling for you” then it would be a huge blow to find out they slept with someone else the night before your date. It’s more emotionally charged. They aren't even close to the marriage benchmark yet. It's a dating show. They are NOT in an exclusive relationship, and both of them knew that going in.
That’s not exactly the case, it also has to do with how you approach a conversation. Plus add that with the behavior Luke displayed throughout the season as a whole, though the amount of backlash he received for it was heavily unwarranted.
I didn't watch this, but I found the clip here. So I don't know what kind of man this is. But he does a good job here, I think. He's upfront about the topic, and what he expects given the situation is perfectly reasonable. He didn't say she'd been having sex, and she said she felt like he was 'judging her.' It's perfectly reasonable for him to withdraw from the relationship if she's been sleeping around. If a woman sleeps around easily before marriage, it's going to seem like much less of a 'big deal' that a woman who was a virgin before marriage, or a woman who repented and lived a sexually moral lifestyle.
The ONLY reason people were mad at him were because: 1. He was her favorite to begin with and this put a target on his back, making the other men start bullying him and 2. The show is good for entertainment but the bad thing is love is being used as a competition when in reality it's not a competition. Luke P came on the show to find a wife not to play around. paulinanilah the general meaning of saving yourself for marriage is to not have sex at all until you are married. Obviously people have different interpretations, like some people won’t even hold another persons hand until they are married, or might not even kiss. But as I said, the general idea is abstinence. So if you already have had sex you can’t possibly be waiting till marriage cuz that takes the important part away from the term. People have really not watched both seasons and analyzed their personalities. Madison is the opposite of him. It wouldn’t work. Also, Luke P. Is not a virgin. He slept around a lot in college, so just because he randomly re-claims his virginity in a shower because God sent him this epiphany does not make him “holier than thou.” He was arrogant all season long, stepping over boundaries, and told Hannah what she should and shouldn’t do with her body in a very condescending manner, hence why Hannah got upset. In contrast, Madison expressed to Peter she wouldn’t be able to move forward if he slept with the other women involved, but did not tell him that he couldn’t and that she “doesn’t approve” of his decisions, and even went on to say that she understands that not everyone makes the decision to save themselves for marriage, so she understood, and didn’t want to make it sound like she was giving him an ultimatum or telling him what to do. She only stated that she would be uncomfortable moving forward and getting engaged 6 days later in a respectful way. I didn't watch this, but I found the clip here. So I don't know what kind of man this is. But he does a good job here, I think. He's upfront about the topic, and what he expects given the situation is perfectly reasonable. He didn't say she'd been having sex, and she said she felt like he was 'judging her.'
It's perfectly reasonable for him to withdraw from the relationship if she's been sleeping around. If a woman sleeps around easily before marriage, it's going to seem like much less of a 'big deal' that a woman who was a virgin before marriage, or a woman who repented and lived a sexually moral lifestyle.
