He looks absolutely nothing like Yosemite Sam. Yes, both characters have a large, 19th century style hat and beard, assuming you can even call Sam's large, red, handlebar mustache a beard, and they even talk with funny accents (which are nothing alike, either,) but that is where the similarity ends. It's from the taped rehearsal. I'm sure they all laughed more then.
search for Debbie Downer Disneyland - another multi-actor breaking session
there is one sketch where they break alot, the one with the alien abduction NSA hearings
radrcer most fake laughing
It's a rehearsal sketch that's why
Random guy: "Hey man."
Jimmy Fallon "PFFFFF LOL."
Umm.....NOT a random guy. That was Jeff Richards, a CM for two and a half years...
My God, even Darrell Hammond is breaking character
0:40 I love how he has to look at the clipboard to properly say the name....Old Prospector
OOOOOH PEACHES!
Will is killing me looking like the real life version of Yosimite Sam😅😅😅
Mz. Phatbaldkat exactly😂😂😂
Uh, have you ever seen Yosemite Sam?
prow6 I have haven't you?
He looks absolutely nothing like Yosemite Sam. Yes, both characters have a large, 19th century style hat and beard, assuming you can even call Sam's large, red, handlebar mustache a beard, and they even talk with funny accents (which are nothing alike, either,) but that is where the similarity ends.
That's like saying every cowboy with a beard and hat looks like Sam.
ha ha me to.
Has jimmy Fallon ever made it through a sketch without laughing? Don't think so!
evan wetzel it’s from 2005 and how could you not laugh do you see will Ferrell
They were ALL laughing, idiot.
There is a reason they hide Jimmy's face. He always is the first to break character. Not to mention, he is doing the, "this is silly and I'm nervous" forced laughed 80 percent of the time.
Some of the best stuff on the Carol Burnette show was when they broke character. That makes a lot of skits.
All my friends are Dead. When did I say I didn't laugh. I love that jimmy always breaks. That's why I watch. Not sure why you assumed otherwise.
The coyotes line gets me every time.
Theres a guy in the front row all the way to the right that never breaks character or laughs idk how cause I'd be dying lol 😂
the background actors tend not to laugh because they know they'll get in trouble if they do.. and won't get work.
The way they all laugh at the chicken line toward the end is the way Jimmy Fallon laughs at everything
I think Daniel Day Lewis used the old prospector as a reference for his role as Lincoln
Fun fact Abe Lincoln actually had a wheezy and raspy voice. The portrayal by Lewis came from journals, diaries, and newspapers from 1844 to 1862.
"I'd be more worried about coyotes if I were yerr!"
-Gus Chiggins
I love that choked back laugh at 1:16
If Chris Kattan is your general, you're definitely part of an unconventional fighting force
That blunt they smoked before the sketch must have been fire
5:26 You know Will is good when he's the only one that has make 5 cast members (and 4 extras) break at the same time.
Actually SEVEN CMs....Jocko and Jenkins are played by Dean Edwards and Jeff Richards, respectively. Sadly, this sketch mirrors their SNL careers quite well...no memorable characters or moments. (Richards' "Drunk Girl" maybe comes close....)
I really lost it when he say "chicken that doesn't taste like chicken it taste like soup" 😭🤣😂😅😆😁😄😃
🤣🤣 Lost it at cinnamon and gravy. (I forget that Ferrell and Kattan worked together as The Butabi brothers lol🤣)
This skit only works because nothing about it works. It’s not well written or acted (with exception of Ferrell) but it is funny because of that. So weird
It's a rehearsal sketch it wasn't meant to come off perfect
I’d like to think that when Bin Ladin got his melon split, the last thing he saw and heard was Ol’ Gus swinging his pick axe singing “ Oh sweet Jezebel….”
