Personally, I'm glad that this scene was cut out of the final game. I don't mind watching disturbing imagery like this in horror movies or any other serious story, but this is supposed to be a comedy. Despite how violent this game can get at times, this scene would still be out of place due to how horrifying it is.
I like how Conker is nervous over a mouse/rat exploding, him covering his eyes when the mob leader is killing one of his mates, a cave man being brutality eaten by a dinosaur, and all, yet he's also fine with shooting his enemies, shredding people up for a vampire, a cave man burning in lava, killing a baby dinosaur, etc.. that's a messed up squirrel dude.

Today is March 5, 2021. On this day 20 years ago Conker's Bad Fur Day was released. This classic game became one of my favorites when I rented it and got my own copy for my 13th birthday later that year. This game is truly one of the best things out of the year 2001 in my opinion next to the D-12 album Devil's Night and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Ill always love this game and cherish it for the work of art it is. Not to mention the fact that it spoofs many of my favorite movies mainly A Clockwork Orange which will turn 50 this year. And while I was hit hard by the games dark ending it only made it more likable to me. I enjoyed both versions of the game as well, the 2001 N64 version and the 2005 Xbox remake, Live & Reloaded, although I would've loved to have played the cancelled sequel as well. All that having been said, happy 20th anniversary Conker's Bad Fur Day. You truly are an unforgettable masterpiece.

Honestly I think this is the 1st game to do a lot of fourth-wall-breaks on N64, or pretty much any console. Especially the ending. The ending destroys every wall.
When I was 9 or 10 I had this on N64..i beat it so many times..and the multiplayer ruled..one of the best games ever created..if only my mom knew what was in this game..lol
makes me wonder if some of those scenes could actually be qualified as "death" : the exploding rat reappears all patched up and alive at the end of the game, the first time the wasp gang got shot they came back later like nothin happened.. and the soldier cut open by the teddiz was *still alive* (also, that was a deleted scene) !.. btw, the scene that creeps me the most among those imo is the catfish death one (that music..).
8:15 Not sure if it's just me who noticed but fucking hell, that sequence is similar to the one in Wolfenstein: The New Order where B.J (the game's protagonist) was asleep during the cutscene and Fergus woke him up because of the Nazis attacking the plane. Not just that, they're also near the sea when shit happens except B.J and his comrades survive a plane crash. Fucking hell.
These deaths remind me about the thing I most liked about Conker, that is the fact that you only make progress by taking the most ethically questionable paths to solve problems. This opens up opportunities for silly/dark jokes and putting the player in Conker's shoes.
A game so violent, so crazy, so insane, and there's a boss battle where you have to play a literal pile of shit, was was also made by the guys who made Banjo and Kazooie. The 90's were friggin weird. And it all ends with a parody of Alien. 10/10

Just finished this game on Rare Replay. Fun as all living hell, a tad infuriating and rage inducing because of the camera and controls, but it never lost its charm with me.

These deaths remind me about the thing I most liked about Conker, that is the fact that you only make progress by taking the most ethically questionable paths to solve problems. This opens up opportunities for silly/dark jokes and putting the player in Conker's shoes.
A game so violent, so crazy, so insane, and there's a boss battle where you have to play a literal pile of shit, was was also made by the guys who made Banjo and Kazooie. The 90's were friggin weird. And it all ends with a parody of Alien. 10/10
