- I decided that wanted to re-upload of the conker video comparison back in 2012 - 2014 to render up to 60fps (for N64 version only). But I had a better idea that I wanted to put all the conker comparison into one video. Plus there were additional cutsences I didn't post them before ...until now. Enjoy!!

I've never played a game that was bursting with this much personality. Even to this day. It just oozes character.

I find it surprising that the N64 version is more expressive than the Xbox version
I've found that some scenes are more animated while others are... not.
I don't think it's that surprising, they just took the same animations and applied higher detail models without going back and tweaking many of the animations, infact some of the characters have broken animations on their face and eyes in the xbox version. Feels a little more soulless compared to the N64 version.

@@ltsheppard they didn’t use the same animations it’s clear as day, it was all redone that’s why most of the cutscenes don’t sync up…
The cartoon aesthetic is what made it so cool. Making it look like one of those images fans make of mario characters irl was a bad move tbh.
Wow, 20 years later, and I never knew there was a cutscene that triggered if you encountered the weasel guards without $1000.
There's also one if you try to do the Poo chapter early
@@excalibur493I believe that’s the one where Conker looks at the door then his pocket watch (which was pulled out of his ass, the early days of Hammer Space ladies and gents!) and realizes he has to come back later, right? Or is there another secret one?
In the remake, the eyes of the Great Might Poo are always staring into emptiness, while the original's eyes move around to actually look at things.
This, among other reasons, is why the N64 version is superior.
While the xbox got the graphics, the N64 got the expressions and animations.
One thing that isn't superior in the OG N64 version vs the Xbox one is the control.
@@blackrose8418 Another is the music. In the remake, they use actual instruments. Another thing is that the GMP has a singing voice that matches his speaking one.

I have to say, while I do prefer the original version overall, Live and Reloaded is still so impressive to me, graphically. It looks like a 360 game but it’s running on the OG Xbox. The N64 game is technically impressive for it’s hardware, but it’s still identifiably an N64 game (which is completely appropriate for the game), but when looking at L&R, I have to sometimes remind myself it’s the OG Xbox. Anyway, it’s a really nice remake. It’s a shame it was censored so much.
The original Xbox was actually a very powerful system compared to the ps2, but a lot of games didn’t get treated well since they had to look the same on both systems. When you look at a lot of exclusive games on the original Xbox it’s stunning how close to the 360 they can be, especially cartoony games like this one.

*Pros of the Nintendo 64 Version:* Better facial expressions.
*Pros of the XBox Version:* Better graphics.
I'm glad Live and Reloaded added the Great Might Poo flipping the dung beetle off. The original looked kinda awkward when he just grabbed one and his fist stayed there. :P
Xbox is a nice improvement when in it comes to graphics, but the N64 version is still way better with more emotion/expressive characters.
I really do miss the Deathmatch on the N64 version

1:42:00 So, does this confirm at least some of the Catfish that died to the Dogfish earlier had extra lives and thus are among the few causalities earlier in the game that aren't permanently dead? That must be the case considering what he's saying. Greg hates cats and I'm guessing he's talking about the Catfish when he says they got fish versions.
Dude the graphics in live and reloaded are impressive for 2005
I think there should’ve been a mode in Rare Replay in Conker’s Bad Fur Day where you can switch between the original soundtrack or the remastered soundtrack from Live and Reloaded.

It’s really touch me about the stunning music, sound effect and the graphic of the game.
Even though the n64 version has been upgraded to the Xbox version, but the spirit of the game is the same!
The dude still lives on
The original its more expresive and more color
And the censore in the remake makes the winner the nintendo 64 version
But both are good games
I think Conker was remade too soon. In my opinion, they should’ve waited a little longer than four years to remake Conker.
This game was a masterpiece and I knew it at age 12.
Remember games with the oh crap moments in them? well folks this one literally has plenty of those as you can see from all the experiences.
One of the most disturbing being jerry the mouse who exploded from overeating cheese.(in my opinion)

This scene should've gotten Ray Tracing on the Series X... because if it can do Forza 4 with RTX (which is an Xbox ONE GAME ON Backwards Compatibility) why wouldn't it be able to do the same with an OG Xbox Title?

I like how The Mighty Poo in the N64 version had the scrolling textures on it and the environment, it made it look way shittier :p
Also the echo in his song is way too loud, the instrumentation is louder than the voice, and I swear the voice itself sounds different and also less clear in the Xbox version.
However I am surprised that the xbox version looks really really good for its age, especially for an early OG xbox title.
I agree, the tempo of the Xbox version seems slightly slower and I don't know if it is that echo effect messing things up, but some of the words seemed to be expressed better in the Nintendo 64 version. I presume they were trying to be more realistic having an echo in the cave, but it made the song worse to me, and that is without taking the additional censorship into account.
It’s not an early og Xbox game, it came out near 4 years after the system released

Actually it released at the end of the Xbox's Lifespan, like with the N64 version. The last RARE game on both consoles

Honestly, overall, I prefer the remake. Better music, better graphics, better controls. There are some bits from the original that I prefer more, but it's not enough to make me choose it over the remake.

When you think about it, the GMP’s singing voice is more consistent with his speaking voice in the Xbox version.
i don't understand why they didn't recreate the look around effect and the movement feeling in the cutscenes. they were great and made it feel more real.

Notice that with the exception of conker none of the characters eyeballs move at all in the xbox version. Thats why the xbox version looks a lot less expressive.

Wow after seeing the refernences i must say it is really bad that the first cutscenes stars way more zoomed out, and they changed his glass of milk to a grail... it remove many details from this reference...
Seems like the xbox version was made from people like me, who didnt know the references before watching a video.

@@sadpow2894 Xbox version couldn't even animate the Great Mighty Poo's eyes. He's staring at nothing. This is just 1 example where the N64 version has more effort and quality put into the animations.
@@ultraspinalki11 I just played Live & Reloaded for the first time and I didn’t even notice the eyes. I think at this point the quality of life improvements in the Xbox version make it worth going back and playing if someone wanted to play the game nowadays.
@@EpsilonOrpheon he characters still aren't nearly as lively compared to the Nintendo version. The lighting also feels a bit more realistic in the N64 version given the certain areas

N64 looks way better
The xbox version looks worse and less cartoony than the original. Also, those shorts they put on conker in the xbox version is sacrilegious.
The Shorts kinda makes sense during the pissing moments. In original you could hear the unzip sound But what did conker unzip? He had no pants. Here it makes sense
