This is why you guys get paid the big bucks. Been trying to find a vid of someone redoing the entire door panel (not just the small insert section). Definitely impressed.
I use to work in a factory doing exactly this all day on corvettes. The one thing that was always the hardest was stretching it out just perfectly to not get any wrinkles or creases. My coworker helping me was from Africa and when he saw the wrinkles he said "de wrinklesss" painful experience but I suppose I learned an actual skill in the process. Props to you because this is not easy!

Cesár is a master of his craft. Hands down. The way he stretches that vinyl out to form on top of the door handle... only experience can tell you that it is attaching as you intended.
Master craftsman. I bet you are one of the last Mohicans. I am so glad you shared it with us I hope your making bank bc you most definitely are not charging enough no matter what your charging. Bc nobody else can do it as good. When you want the very best. It's pricey. So double your price tag no matter what it is keep jamming
He shows us how much time and detail and skill is involved! So if you want to do it yourself you can but if you want to pay someone to do it now you know why they charge what they do!
This is one of the best videos I have watched in TH-cam, this guy is so talented and straight to the point without all the story tells like everyone else in here, this is great content, something to learn from thanks for sharing this video!
A la verdad que eres un Maestro men soy tapicero en Puerto Rico y siempre veo tus vídeos yo aprendí en USA PQ viví un tiempito en usa pero tú sí que eres un maestro y estoy muy agradecido con tus vídeos! Gracias
You said let's learn together hahaha your a seasoned vet and made that look soooooooo easy and I am a perfectionist as well. You are a master at your craft. Very well done
Wow Cesar. That panel needed some well deserved love. You brought it back to life! Absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for showing this. I always feel empowered after watching you. Love, your biggest fan- lynn💕
Is Cesar Cechaflo’s real name? I’ve been trying to find out who the “man behind the magic” is but haven’t been able to yet . He is such a great artist, I am definitely inspired by his work . I honestly ely can’t think of anyone better than Cechaflo
Very nice work. I'm mostly interested in the first third, stretching the material over the plastic door card. That's the most impressive part to me and all my cars are damaged on the top area by the window.
That’s it …. In naming my 1st born son Cechaflo (Cesar)😁 I’m sure just by naming him that, he will be the best at whatever it is he does in life , just like Cechaflo💯😊
One of the best tutorial videos I've ever seen...Dialogue wasn't necessary...You demonstrated what needed to be done perfectly without it! I learned alot from this video...THANK YOU!
Maestro, que digo maestro -MAESTRASO- No cabe duda que cada vez se aprende algo más con sus videos. Gracias por compartir sus conocimientos en arte de la tapiceria...
Having now watched the entire video i had to add a further comment. This was probably one of the best how to videos i have ever seen on TH-cam, and i fully appreciate the level of skills that you demonstrated. And i can see why you have 232K subscribers. Your success is well deserved. Regards, a new subscriber.
These are absolutely the best upholstery videos on youtube, I have used many of his videos to help me tackle problems I have encountered during some jobs. And the fact that there is no cheesy music or unnecessary graphics is a bonus. Keep up the great work Cechaflo, your work and expertise is very appreciated.
This is the difference between a guy that says “yeah, I can do upholstery” and a guy that don’t have to advertise and is booked solid for months in advance
This has given me the confidence to at least attempt this on my '90 Volvo 740 dash. It has lots of dramatic geometry like this that I'm concerned about getting the vinyl to stretch along. But this gives me hope that perhaps as an amatuer I can do it myself.
I used one side stretch vinyl. There is for sale 4 sides stretch vinyl too. It would be much better to give shapes.www.upholsterycentral.com/products/appollo-4-way-stretch-vinyl www.sailrite.com/Fabrics/Marine-Fabric/Marine-Upholstery-Vinyl-Fabric/Special-Features/4~Way-Stretch/type/Products?order=custitem_popularity

Awesome work as usual! Love your videos! I upholstered my 1955 f100 with vinyl attached to abs custom panels only to have it release a few months into the hot weather. The spray glue is soft and sticky. I've never had glue do this.I've recovered many head liners with no issues. I'm thinking maybe I need to paint the abs with a latex paint that bonds will to plastic? Any ideas to a solution would be much appreciated. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your talent.
If I may make a suggestion. Scuff the abs with 320 grit sandpaper. Wash it with dawn dish soap to remove grease and oils, wipe it down with rubbing alcohol and you shouldn’t have any more issues.
Hello great Demonstration of how to do this . And the final result is awesome and so much classier looking . May I ask What types of glue are you using to bond the material to the plastic . Would love to try this on a spare set of door panels I have . And again awesome. Work

I like this guy. He just shuts the fuck up and gets straight to the point. Wish all youtubers were like this.
Hell yeah brother! 😂
Some of the best videos on youtube are the silent craftsmen
That’s the universal language
Most people don't think about how many hours it takes to do this kind of job. Then they wonder why it is so expensive when you give them a quote.
Everything can take as long as you want it too. Its a luxury service for sure but alot of upholstery shops are crooks
Technique starting at 6:00 was exactly what I have been scouring the internet for! Thanks!

Took some 70s junkyard door panel and turned it into something that looks like it should be in a modern Benz. Damn good skill.

I think Esteban is right. Scuffing prep, and scuff will give it "teeth" for the glue to bond to.
