Yes your logic is solid, put it back together and get the data he needs. The reassembly will go better than you think now that you have done it once! Best from across the Pond. Mark
Dont despair! My XK8 manual car is a pretty nice drive. Sadly I have hit a deer! it will need a hood(bonnet), front bumper and fender but no mechanicals thankfully.
Damian, just plug into a simulator 1996/7 xk8, I am a long way away in Essex, sure there is someone nearby who can help, you are a very clever and patient man ! Cheers mate
These things always take a lot longer then they seem to. Things would have been a lot easier if Jaguar had just released the car with a manual option. :)
Hi Damian. Sorry I have not kept up with your project. So from what I understand you need to grab data from an early X100? Is it worth putting out an appeal for somebody with a suitable car to plug in to? Mine is too new otherwise I would be happy to help.
Elegant solution. We all hate to re-do things again and again.
Tom, thanks for your support. Agreed trying to get it done at the first attempt is best. Fingers crossed its going to work out, regards Damian
Knowing how tenacious you are I'm sure she'll be on the road come spring time. Good luck.

Jonathan, Thanks for the kind words, hopefully just a bit a mid project dip in enthusiasm, regards Damian

...that, or you could just buy mine before I replace the throttle body. (+/-$2K p&l)
Thank you for your support. I think I saw your car damage on a Facebook post. Hope you get to back into shape OK. Much appreciated, regards Damian.
