  • One of the most spectacular War Memorials around the world is Victory Park in Moscow. Completed in 1995, the Park commemorates the 50th anniversary of the victory in the 2d World War. It includes plenty of sculptures full of war symbolism, Spanish Catholic chapel, Mosque, Synagogue and Russian Orthodox Church to commemorate soldiers of different religions etc. Besides, various military equipment from the USSR, Germany and country-allies is presented on the open air exhibition - and if you a military history buff, you must see all sections. Central crescent museum - the Museum of the Great Patriotic War - it’s also called the Victory museum - describes the history of the Great Patriotic War (which is how the Second World War is known in Russia). Among the more standard exhibitions of documents, photographs, videos and items, the museum also includes six dioramas featuring the Battle of Moscow, the Battle of Stalingrad, the Siege of Leningrad, the Battle of the Kursk Salient, the Crossing of the Dnieper and the Storm of Berlin. Victory Park is in TOP 10 landmarks to see when in Moscow.

Thank you so much, for a great video.. I was there in the park back in 2015, but I didn't have the chance to visit the museum, might be it was too late at night.
Taking us into the museum and giving us a very nice and accurate description about the Second World War, seen from Soviet Union is very interesting, and it's so important to spread this informations to the rest of the western Europe, to understand the great losses of Soviet people. This channel, is so much important to make understanings through out the borders between countries... Thank you again for sharing this important information ))

In 2002 I visited this Victory Museum I came all the way from New Zealand to see this and other monuments in Russia about the Second World War - I still remember distinctly the Hall of Remembrance with the hanging crystals symbolizing all those lost in this great conflict almost 2 million and 7 hundred thousand and 1 crystal represents 10 people in the Soviet Union who had died a staggering loss of people in such a short time.

As an American I have celebrated my grandfather who fought in the war. I only recently have opened my eyes and seen that our Russian brothers in arms sacrificed so much in this war and I know my grandfather would proudly have had a drink or more with our Russian brothers in arms if he was still here. I so look forward to visiting Russia soon and seeing this museum. If any Russians that visit America want to see a great museum commemorating our World War II veterans, I highly recommend you see the ones in New Orleans(Europe theater) and Fredericksburg, TX(pacific theater.)

I’m an American and would love to visit this museum 4:03 . While many countries played a role, the war could not have been won without the sacrifice and bravery of the red army

This is not a film about a museum, but a film about the author of the film against the background of a museum.

What I find sad is that no one except Russia also honours the other allies for defeating Hitler. I grew up in the West, but all they are talking about is "The US this and the English that". Off course they are the ones that freed the West of Europe, but without The Soviet Union back then it would be a lot harder to accomplish, maybe even impossible. Hitler would be able to assign his forces to defend the West as there was no opposing threat from the east. So I am thankful that the Soviet Union also stood up against his terror. On The National Remembrance Day I always burn a candle. Also for the ones that are forgotten by our countries...
Because "The one that doesn't look back to the past, is blind for the future...".

Yeah Russia definitely found that Nazi gold when they sneeked in while our boys were covering there back's!
I'm building a Kursk diorama just now.
That's what made the Panther tank such a mechanical failure it was rushed into combat without resolving the issues resulting in a massive loss! Maybe a blessing that though, if that thing was a success then there in for a bad time! Russia definitely got lucky with the winter weather the nazis not ever have experienced anything like it bogging them down they can't handle the cold like the Russians and the British lol
