ASMR Rooms - tons of HP themed videos, mostly common rooms and the Weasley Burrow (no music)🌟 3. The Guild of Ambience (Potion shops, medieval ambience, intricate library rooms with rain, thunder and lightning in the distance) ⛈ 4. 1HarryH - this channel has been a godsend. I am always amazed at the quantity of videos this guy has uploaded. Everything is recorded in nature, nothing is edited, there is no music, just peaceful surroundings. Sunsets, windy fields, forests, a campfire in the snow and much more 🌿🍁🌾 Lately I’ve been putting on the Witcher III Tavern Music video while reading but I still go back to the classic fireplace when I’m studying 🌱
I've been reading a lot of books that I've had on my TBR since 2015. I was just so done with having so many taking up space, and to be honest I've never read as many books in my life. Read nearly as many in January as I did in 2019 because it's so satisfying to finally be done with a book!
The City of Dreaming Books is one of my favorite books :) I'm glad you enjoyed it! Walter Moer's books are really popular in Germany. He created the world Zamonien in which all of his books are set. That's why it said that the book was the fourth book, it's the fourth set in this world, but they can all be read independently. The special thing about this book is that it's indeed the start of the only trilogy set in this world (so far). The Labyrinth of Books is the second and the third isn't out yet (not even in Germany, goodreads lists 2025 as the release date :D ). I strongly advise against reading the second book, though. The first one can be read as a standalone and the second one is a huge disapointment. It's boring and pointless. For the first half of the book it simply summarizes the plot of the first book and the second half sets up book three. I think that if book three is ever released, you can just skip book 2 and directly read that. I must say that I think his newer work isn't as good as his earlier works. That's why I recommend Rumo and The 13.5 Lives of Captain Bluebear if you're ever in the mood to pick up more of his weird fantasy. I find that both of these are really unique (also illustrated) and super entertaining. The only thing is that both of those stories are really long and accompany the protagonist from childhood to young adulthood through various adventures. That means that the story doesn't always have a fast paced or concise plot, sometimes you're just along for the ride, taking in the wonders of Zamonien. Sorry for the long post, I just thought I'd throw in my two cents about this author's works :) Btw, I'm a new subscriber and never watched a vlog of yours, but I really enjoyed your style of producing it and hearing your thoughts throughout :)

Have you heard of The Invisible Library series by Genevieve Cogman? It's SO good and all about books, libraries, time travel, dragons, all the good stuff! There's 6 books in the series so far and I've loved all of them. I always love what you read so I think you would like them!🤗
Ammalyrical - The Frisian Atypical Reader Honestly people aren’t quite sure...Moers is shelved in the adult fantasy section but some people classify it as children’s/YA. I would personally recommend it for all ages
I dont miss late hours! I get off at 2:30pm now during the week but I used to work nights when I was a bartender and got off at 2am lol now I work part time from home so I get to be home more even if I have to work here

Love the idea of this vlog (reading the oldest books on tbr)! I did one like it, too. It's so refreshing to clear the end of the TBR. Like you, I ended up loving the books! Our younger selves were good pickers!! LOL. The City of Dreaming Books has the best illustrations! That's probably the only thing I really liked about it, unfortunately. Something got lost in translation for me. But I'm so glad you liked it!
Oh my gosh! I also have never heard anyone talk about City of Dreaming Books, not on yt, so I was so excited when you pulled it out! I read it years ago and fell in love with it and I've reread it just last year. I found it a little slow at times but it's just so unique, grotesque and don't even get me started on the illustrations, they're amazing. Glad you enjoyed it! Also, I want to live in Bookholm so badly 😂 Unfortunately the sequel was kind of disappointing, at least for me :( Anyways, I don't ever comment so I might as well take advantage of this and say that your vlogs never fail to make me smile and get excited for reading, sending lots of love ♥️

Just listened to the Devil in the White City audiobook this week too! Audiobooks are such a non fiction game changer. Especially once I realized I could change the audiobook speed and get through more of them on my commute!
The zamonia books are just the same universe I have read the Alchemasters apprentice from the series and loved it so definitely have to find this one to read too x
I love the fake fireplace! If you have a smart TV, check out the channel ASMR Rooms. They have different ambience rooms like Gryffindor Common Room, Gandalf’s Study, etc. Perfect reading atmosphere!

I am half way through "American Dirt" (Unbelievably Good,riveting,important read) 75% done on "The Great Alone" (Crazy Insanely emotional) and 25% Of Demi Moore's Biography (not sure yet).
