I'm looking at 2008-2010...987.1-987.2...Porsche Cayman for my 16yr old daughter...your car is absolutely gorgeous!! I'm looking at a 987.2 little high miles at 22k$...but i really want a 987.1 for the motor....but would probably be doing suspension, exhaust, and body kit...
Not sure if it’s the same car, but I just saw a very similar car posted on a Facebook track page. Seemed like a solid deal for what the guy was asking for it
Please post a vid when you do the dyno & tune. I looked into Cobb, but decided to go with a Fabspeed tune for my N/A 987.2. It's my understanding the port injected 987.1 cars are far easier to tune than the DFI 987.2. I looked into a E85 flex fuel kit and asked a reputable Porsche tuner, but there's nothing available, probably never will be given the limited production numbers for the facelift cars.
They don't need rebuilt to handle boost, the lower compression, and balance of the engine makes it the optimal engine to boost when it comes to all the different watercooled engines.
Sorry maybe I missed it but what is your wheel hp. My wife Raggdoll 718 on dragys seen your 100-200 time. Super great time. These kits I read are 450 or so crank correct? Sounds awesome. 💪🏼
The MRN kit appears to use better components and has two turbos for less lag, while having a bit more efficient cooling process/design all for less cost
@@olivoguerrero5541 Seems like it was just from the aftermarket headers/02 sensors throwing things but now it's good with the OEM headers so far 100 miles in!
I'll get some audio clips soon! And yes I truly LOVED my Top Gear exhaust sound a bit more than this as this sounds more throaty and not as crispy but it's a lot faster haha
Thanks for taking us along the journey through this car
I'm Just starting my conversion, so good to see and hear someone else who has done it. Great video, thanks.
Awesome! I can't imagine that kind of power in my Cayman. That's scary fun! Thanks for sharing.
I'm gettin used to it slowly haha
Awesome! I’ve been waiting for this.. my car goes in the shop next week! So excited…
I want a 987 so bad and this is such a great video. I wouldn't buy one if I hadn't seen other people turbo them. GG
This is S O sick man! Love the look, love the sound, love it all!
Aw thanks for watching!!!
Really Awesome, Gratitude!
Thanks!

Thanks Rich massively appreciate your support and watching!!!
WOW turned out great. They sure packed it all in there nice!!
Ahhhh you beat me to it 🤣
I'll hopefully be the 1st 2.7 twin turbo 😁
Where can i follow the build?
Daaaaang!!! Sounds mean!
Definitely need more videos. It’s too bad there’s so much wind noise I want to hear the shifts

Where was it located? Shoot me a link!
@@ShelbyPaget looks like it’s up in Michigan
@@LETerEATRenne yep that’s it! Would love to see it if you have a link or which group it is
Shelby the car sounds awesome 👏🏾 👏🏾. The progression of your car gives inspiration of what I can do to mine.
Thanks so much for the kind words and following the channel! Means a LOT!

Def will do!
Beautiful Cayman Man! I have the same car in stock form and love that duck tale. Where did you get it and does it affect the factory spoiler ?
0-60 ???
Hell yeah!! Love hearing that beast spool up!
Oh you know it! Gotta come by for a ride in it soon!
What size tires and rims on the back?
Very interested in possibly doing the same. Love my 987.1 S but would like to optimize it.
It's been good! A couple little tweaks after install but feels great so far!
@@ShelbyPaget what was the final power output?
@@kstoff2218 Haven't dyno'd it yet but will post as soon as I do!
@@ShelbyPaget any update on the final power output?
Hey Shelby Uncle Tony here would love to go on a test drive with you sometime or just ride some dirt bikes just saying love you
What's up Uncle Tony! Thanks for always watching my vids :) Means a lot! We gotta have another taco night soon and I'll bring the car!
Your m97 was rebuilt to handle boost right?
No sir
They don't need rebuilt to handle boost, the lower compression, and balance of the engine makes it the optimal engine to boost when it comes to all the different watercooled engines.

how much did the total installation cost?
What made you decide to go with MRN over TPC? Do you know which is packing better performance?
The MRN kit appears to use better components and has two turbos for less lag, while having a bit more efficient cooling process/design all for less cost
What clutch setup are you running?
Stage 2 clutch w/ LFW
@@ShelbyPaget Who's clutch?
@@challengemotorwerks I believe a SPEC clutch but not 100% certain as it was in the car when I purchased it
What fuel are you running?
91
@@ShelbyPaget I am thinking about buying this kit, but I want to do it with 91 octane as well. Nice!
Hey Boss, did you figure out the check engine issue from last month?
@@olivoguerrero5541 Seems like it was just from the aftermarket headers/02 sensors throwing things but now it's good with the OEM headers so far 100 miles in!
I see. Were you just getting a rich fuel warning?
Do you want to sell your other rear bumper?
Yes it’ll be for sale! Where you located
I am sadly in Missouri haha
@@Kevinstein0706 Yeah to ship out there would likely cost you about $1000 in total unfortunately
Wow. Cost? Have you had dyno yet? Would like to know BHP. What other essential upgrades are needed eg. Brakes?
The cost is about $9k ish for the kit (link in description) and the install was about $3k or so from a top notch shop! Dyno run will be October 12
Let's hear it from the outside. I think my TPC turbo 987.1 sounds like crap from the outside but good on the inside 🤣
I'll get some audio clips soon! And yes I truly LOVED my Top Gear exhaust sound a bit more than this as this sounds more throaty and not as crispy but it's a lot faster haha
its probably because of unequal length pipes to turbo. i would love to hear this car with a x pipe or H pipe at tip
@@SamnangDy that would be dope! Do you make em?
Ill pay shipping on the old exhaust. :D
It’s already spoken for sorry!
@@ShelbyPaget I was kinda joking, but that would have been awesome LOL. I appreciate the response, cheers!
Want to sell the top gear exhaust? I’ll take it!
This car was tuned before you bought it from another TH-camr
Was it? Which TH-camr?
Stupid wing, duck tail ruined, would remove.
Oh man so surprising, another rude comment from someone who has zero content produced haha thanks for views ;)
Shelby what engine is in your car?
The 3.4 S :)
