Welcome. Though the examining body has changed from KNEC TO TVET CDAAC. And slight change in curriculum but in overall the courses remain almost the same

Try PC KINYANJUI in Nairobi or Kenya aviation college. They are some of the colleges that offers telecommunication option. Ensure you confirm a college that you want to enroll has that option

Yeah. That's where they should start with a D+. Then after certificate they can join diploma in second year
Hello ...Imost clearing my university studies in agricultural engineering ...but I love electricity so much ..how can I get to do a certificate in electrical engineering and what us the cost plz?
Certificate or craft in electrical engineering will take you two years in a technical institute. However it will be full-time because of the practicals. The course is actually very practical which I believe is what you like. You will learn electrical installation, motor installation and electronics both theory and practice. This will go well with automotive electricals
OK..then can they accept to transfer some of the credits I have done related to the same..because I have done a lot of mathematics especially in calculus which I believe doing them again will be a repetition of what u have already done...is that possible ..thank you
Unfortunately our education system is too rigid. KNEC only considers credit transfer for KNEC to KNEC. I know agriculture engineers do a unit in electrical and considerable mathematics units. There's short courses in solar installation, motor rewinding. They relate with your course. A short course in automotive electricals is good but I am not sure if there is an institution that offers that. Please do research on that

Difference between certificate in electrical engineering - knec and certificate in electrical engineering?
It's the same. KNEC is only an examining body
But now KNEC has been replaced by TVET CDACC

Yeah. You can. The entry grade for diploma is C-. The fact that you did physics also makes the situation better

Which school in best for craft???..and how much do they charge plz?
You can study craft in electrical engineering in any technical training institute, Vocational training centre or college or any national polytechnic. In all the schools the syllabus is the same and the examining body is the same (KNEC). So I don't expect any major difference in the quality of education.
The charge is somewhere between 15k and 25k per term depending on if you have any goverment sponsorship like KUCCPs capitation or HELB loan or entirely self sponsored

If you have a good score in math you can pursue a diploma in electrical engineering. Say C plain and above. If the score is lower it's better you start from certificate level. It will take you four years to finish your Diploma but you will have a better footing and you will have done more practicals than someone who joined diploma directly
