Lovely plants! I live in India, I love them but I cannot grow them. Going to try again. Thank you
@@Peoplespilates what’s your climate where you are. If too hot try growing them in a shady spot
I've heard they prefer cooler weather, so if your summers are hot, you could try in the autumn.
I have grown them two years in a row now. This year we have a variety with mottled green/ cream leaves. I enjoy them.
I love the way they just grow effortlessly.
There are also some that climb also.
yes they will happily climb a trellis.
Mine are mostly orange and red. I love them. We have a bit of garden that is difficult to access, so I'm pointing them over there!
interesting knowledge for me, thank you. I hope you are always healthy and enjoy beautiful days
Great. Glad it helps. And I hope the same for you too.
Love the idea of having them In a hanging plant. Do you think you could over winter them in planters like in the garden?
@@just-1237 depends what zone. They won’t survive frost. They are an annual really.
@@just-1237 they are an annual really and will succumb to frost.
They are a stunning flower such vibrant colours and 😂 I love big seeds easier to handle, Ali 🌤️🇨🇦
I know. They’re so cute and great self seeders. I’ve just been harvesting fox glove seeds… they’re microscopic. Urgh! 🤪🇨🇦🇬🇧
Hello! Great video! Question. Will Nasturtiums reseed and grow again in cold climate Zone 3? Or will I have to germinate seeds indoors each spring? Or direct seed them? Thanks
I find they just self seed and grow themselves. They will take a bit longer than other plants to get going because they like it warmer but once they go they go! You can always try sowing them indoors if you want them to flower earlier. If you have a short spring in zone 3 starting them indoors then putting the, out when it gets hot would work. They’re not super keen on a cool spring.
How do you keep up with the weeds next to the flower plant?
I mulched my yard and they happily grow over that :) all my nasturtiums are “volunteers”
Why are my nasturtium leaves always turning yellow with lines on them?!
Could be any number of reasons, from drainage, to pests to too much shade. My patch has spots of shade and some of the leaves g]have yellow patches where they get less sunshine. But it could also be a pest.
It is my most favorite flower. But are not lucky with them. Not abundant I try every year. They always peter out. I don’t fertilize and use not rich soil and it gets good sun. I won’t stop trying. 😢
try in a different spot. I tried to grow mine in a different part of my garden and they never took off there but here in this video they grow back stronger each year.
I've heard they don't like hot weather, so if you live somewhere with hot summers, you could try growing them in the autumn.
