I under plant my roses with Salvia and find it reduces any black spot and makes a healthy companion for the rose.

I'm redesigning a summer bed at the moment and have included most of these , with some small evergreen shrubs as a backdrop, and winter interest.

Great video, I lifted my Salvia Amistad and popped it in poly tunnel for winter here is soggy west of Ireland and it survived well. I love all the plants you suggested and will use them in new community project. Thank you.

I can’t even find last years plantings, is it coz of the rain? Garden was like a field after a football match in the rains, do we have to grow everything in pots?

      Hi there!
Some of the ones that are currently unavailable will be back on the website soon
We are either waiting for new stock to become saleable - we dont wish to push out anything that isnt ready - or the stock has become too big to mail order but is available in person at the nursery

Surprised it took so long to do some cutting back. I would have them cut right back before the video was ever made. Would have been a much bushier plant and have piles more flowers throughout the season. Grab a few cuttings as well.

Always informative - than you for your posts. Are any of the above invasive? This is often the one bit of information not provided and if the plant self seeds or worse is a vigorous rooter, problems can occur despite their attributes. Many thanks.

Thank you for another informative video.
I wonder if you are doing a Q&A session soon? If so, could I ask a question please?
My godson is getting married next year in England, mid September and has asked me to provide the flowers. I grow dahlias, Japanese Anemone and Nerine which flower at this time but are there any others which you could suggest as reliable for this time of year? I have a large garden and allotment so space isn’t an issue. Thank you in advance.

Geum mrs Bradshaw seems to be a “good doer” I planted it in spring this year and it’s full of very pretty blooms, a lovely deep red, not as tall as totally tangerine and I’m not sure how long it will carry on flowering or how much it’ll spread out as it’s the first year in my garden but it’s worth having I’d say 😊

    • @bewoodford2807
      @bewoodford2807 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@Early100 thank you. yes I have mrs Bradshaw. I agree, a beautiful colour but definitely doesn't spread or flower as much as TT.

Thank you Rosie! I have geums but they seem to gone off despite deadheading. Is this a particular variety of geums that flowers so long, or all geums should be like that? Mine is red but taller and smaller flower.

I just don’t find these type of plants in the garden centres, they all seem to have the same generic stock of begonias, geraniums and pansies that’s your choice sadly.

What is your soil type or location? (are you in the UK and which county?)
Do you know how old the plants were when you bought them?
      When were they planted?
      Did you mulch?
