We use lots of dried basil on our poached salmon 👍. Hope yours does well Jill I’m paying lots of attention 😅 because mine gets leggy even pinching out, Ali 🌞🥵🇨🇦
I think it's the overcast days that make it leggy. We are having a particularly overcast summer so I am even thinking of adding a grow light to mine in JULY! leggy or not mind you, the basil leaves are delicious. Poached salmon is yum. A rare treat here as a lot of the stuff we get is farmed and cruel and full of lice. I doubt you have that problem in Canada. 🇨🇦🇬🇧🌿🍣
@@freeinghumanitynow Gerald does the cooking 🫢 but I believe he simply put the salmon steak in a shallow pan of water, boils on a rolling bubble until almost cooked all the way through and then liberally coats the top of the salmon with dried basil flakes, cover and simmer for another 15 minutes

@@JillBretherton I’m liking the plant deep part 👍
@@myrustygarden I have found planting leggy plants deep does tend to work.
Can you post that poached salmon recipe, please? Sounds interesting. 😊
