Thank you for the great advice. Every time I pinch my pansy’s or violas I get the seeds. I’ll do more.❤️🇨🇦

Thank you for putting this important information into personal perspective. I shall celebrate (vs bemoan) the 7 flowering petunia plants (from 3 packets sown) and I will save the seed! Informed and inspired!

I grow regular snapdragons and they come back every year. I find like you “speciality” ones are mostly a rip off 😢. I love a self seeding flower and lean towards them more often. Great update Jill, thank you 🙏, Ali ☔️🌞🇨🇦

Yes, i didn’t find the speciality snaps to be all that good except for those magenta ones. Half my garden now fills up with self seeders and perennials which really does cut down the work load. Have a great week. 🇬🇧🇨🇦🌻🌼🌸.

I buy seeds from the Thomas Jefferson historical plant society here in the U S . This year I ordered some hyacinth bean seeds. 5 (five) seeds came in the packet for $4.95. Might as well say $1.00 a seed! The plant of course produces pods with 5 seeds per pod!
    Love your videos!

Aw nice. I do like native plants. They nourish our pollinators and insects. Good luck growing them. You must monitor those 5 seeds very carefully! 🤣

@@JillBretherton Oh they are up now but not flowering yet. I will be out with a flashlight at night guarding when the pods come in hee hee hee. Thanks for the smiles. Oh! What zone are you in? We are 8/8b?

@@LAWandCoach Ha ha. You are like me. When I built my DIY seed bed I was out there every five minutes checking up on the plants growing on it and admiring my handiwork. 🤣🤪 I think I am similar zonewise, bordering on 9. We don't really have zones in UK but I am in the south east where it is temperate and warmer in summer & milder in winter than most of the uk.

@@JillBretherton I must also tell you I absolutely love your tin tray "renovation". I have some seeds coming on Sunday, I have my seed starting mix and my golden, blessed, kissed by the pope, from the Queen Mother's garden when she was a child, that Gandhi and the Dali llama planted heirloom seeds. The time line is probably off but I hope you get my sarcasm 😉. I never would have thought I would be so excited about purchasing tin roasting pans! 😜 Lot's of smiles. Love your videos.

@@LAWandCoach 🤣🤣🤣I do love me a roasting pan and a recycled one is even better! All those blessings! I think you are going to have a bumper year.

Such brilliant advice. Your videos are inspirational. My first year with a cutting garden grown from seed, (starting from last autmn) and watching your videos has helped hugely. Thank you.

Thanks Jill . I love going through the catalogues in the winter and choosing something new each year but you're right the unusual ones only have a tiny amount in the packet . After seeing this , I'm going to start collecting my own seeds 😊.

Those catalogues are fatal for me but i do love them. I’ve definitely had more success with my growing since collecting my own seeds. Good luck with your seed harvesting!
