This was the first song that my voice teacher taught me. I never knew it would be so difficult to sing. It was a challenging song. I never like it then, but I love and appreciate the song now. Even this video confirm that this song is a challenge. Thank you so much for this video. People must understand that singing and music takes a lot of blood, sweat and tears. Meaning that it is hard work.

Thank you for the coaching and instructions. Probably the best recording of this Aria are Pavarotti of course and young tenor Anthony Leon with an amazing rendition here in his TH-cam channel. Enjoy it

Yes, thank you, very beautiful and touching singing by Anthony Leon. I have many favourite recordings of this aria. At the top as always Luciano Pavarotti and Dmitri Hvorostovsky with a lower voice. Greetings! 🙂

Don't listen him, listen how sing Caruso, Gigli and Tito Gobbi they're good singers, not him, not bel canto.Sorry, if I get offended you, but your techique...

@shattered_soul - listen to Caruso, Gigli and Tito Gobbi. Please do not listen to me. Your time is precious. Use it wisely. Don't waste it watching my videos. Find a good teacher and good luck with your singing.

    • @shattered_soul

@@miroslawgrabski Thanks, you too! You have a beautiful voice and good intentions to teach people, and that's fine. However, maybe your teacher isn't good. Please try to listen to more bel canto singers and try to rediscover or find something new in old singers like Gigli, Caruso, young tenor with a good technique, Kang Wang, not Caruso but not bad). I'm sorry if I was aggressive, but it's very sad when opera is lost in your eyes and ears. I'm studying in the bel canto style, but I'm too young, and I don’t know a lot of things. However, I can hear a little bit.

I disagree, any time is a good time to begin one’s singing journey. In fact, the earlier the better. Just like how you performed this piece for your FIRST voice recital!!! CONGRATS!
I agree with the original comment, in that it is a good idea to listen to singers such as Caruso or Gigli, because their sound is unaffected and is truly their voice. What I hear when this teacher sings is an overly dark and covered woofy sound, that sounds nothing like his speaking voice. It is this intentional/unintentional change that most modern opera singers create on their voice that affects the sound and ease of singing.
I would encourage singers of ANY level of experience or style, to strive to find their voice that feels natural in all parts of their range.

Very interesting to hear a vocal coach sing !?! It is good to ask yourself if you want to take lessons and sound like this !?! To me the voice is over covered and unnatural. There is no squillo and the voice does not carry well. Too much scuro and not enough chiaro, and no sub harmonics in the sound. It reminds me of beginners who try to have a big voice and keep the sound at the back of the throat. The Italian vowels are not clear and all sound the same. The consonants are not articulated enough. The voice is not free but constricted.

@marcelbureau2753 Thank you for you honest review, I really appreciate that. I am sorry you don’t like it, and I realize it is not perfect. Of course it is possible to sing it better or differently. Maybe I’ll do another version in comparison to this. Choosing a vocal coach I agree should be a wise choice you are absolutely right, there are thousands of them and you have to find that one that suits well you in many aspects. Not every perfect singer is a good teacher and vice versa. I am personally very aware of my weaknesses and try to be a better singer and a better teacher every day. I sang more than thousand professional concerts in many different styles and configurations and I know a bit about it. All the best!

Please do not listen to me! This is just my opinion and you seem to have many good reviews here. I listened to other recordings like this one: th-cam.com/video/xuwPg0FLv38/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AnyBmSE3-1BioU5I where I find your voice very good . There is much more ring in the voice and the voice is more free. Well done!
