We need to pay attention to our selves when we get fatigued. I AM 68 AND CAN NOT DO THINGS I use to do like I did 20 or 30 years ago. To day I was out shoveling snow. ( New England Is FUN) I use the snow shovel as a CANE. After a few hours my feet wouldn't stay in place properly. Time to quit and have a cup of coffee. In the past I have pushed myself further than I should have, Then I am on the ground and have a very difficult time getting back up. As I keep reminding myself, It is OK to take a break.
Absolutely agree! It is in invaluable to listen to your body, and give yourself the grace of taking a break when in the past you may not have needed one🧡 Thank you for sharing!
I ❤️your videos. As a wife and mother of 5, it’s helped me understand ms and exercise!
Thank you so much for sharing that! I'm so happy you have found my page!
Loved these exercises. Feel guilty about resting...so true I do that all the time.

Appreciate you Gretchen💯👍🏾
☺️ I appreciate all of you as well!
We need to stop "shoulding" on ourselves!
Most definitely!! It is such an easy place for our minds to go, but it only leads to feeling discouraged!
Thank you!
It's my pleasure! Glad this was helpful!

These seated exercises are so helpful, thank you so much.
You're very welcome! I'm so glad this resonated with you!
Thank you for these exercises. I always feel quilty when I’m not moving. My stability is limited when standing. So exercising is difficult for me to do without loosing my balance. I can see how these exercise will be beneficial for me.
Always happy to share!
Your enthusiasm is contagious. Thank you for these helpful videos. I get extremely frustrated that I am unable to do 1/2 of any designated exercise secondary to left-sided hemiparesis from c-spine lesions. I wish there was a simple answer and timeline but obviously this is not the case. I have been working in another MS program for the last 5+ years with no success.
I'm glad to hear that the enthusiam shared in the the videos is contagious. I can imagine how eaily it is to become discouraged, but I hope that you continue with your exercises, and perhaps incorporate what is shared on this channel as well. Please try to not be too hard on yourself in the process🧡You're doing great!
I have another Nerological disorder - Ataxia - many of your video's help me too - THAN K you !!! power Naps work for me 20-30 minutes
I'm happy to hear this content is helpful for you as well! You got this!
Thanks Gretchen! I can do most of those exercises very slowly when I have fatigue, but the one I still can't figure out and no one has ever explained or help me with is that I get SEVERE Pain in my upper arms (on the outside mostly, triceps) the burn soooooo bad and if I do minor exercise or chore etc it gets even worse. Is the lactic acid build up or what I can do?? Thank you for all your wonderful videos and tips, appreciate it greatly. ❤
Such a great question! These are exactly the types of questions that I answer, live inside The MSing Link during our monthly Q&A call! My first approach in a situation like this is always to do fewer repeitions in one sitting, but multiple times throughout the day and see how that feels! I hope to see you in The MSing Link community soon!
You are wonderful I thank you so much ❤️
I'm feeling fatigued now.
I hope that you found this video helpful!
For some reason I can only exercise late in the day; nothing heavy, but what ever I do, it’s more comfortable to do it after 7 pm at night. I am still grateful to my body that I can walk around 5000 to 6000 steps if I was to go for a walk. I do need to sit down and rest, but my walking stick it’s very useful and it’s helping me when I need it. Your video has made me realise that I do feel guilty when I’m in bed middle of the day 😢 and it’s time to give myself the pleasure to enjoy the rest.
If that works best for you than that is great! Allowing yourself to rest is, guilt free, is so important!
