Again, according to Chebukati, there were 14,213,137 valid votes.
Who got the 110 valid votes? Again, according to Chebukati, the voter turnout was 65.4%. Noting the registerd voter population of 22,120,458, this translates to 14,466,779 votes. According to Chebukati's declared valid votes of 14,466,779, there were 253,642 rejected votes contrary to 113,614 as indicated by Chebukati.
Even if Chebukati's figures were to be relied upon, 113,614+14,213,137=14,326,751 which translates to a voter turnout of 64.77% and contrary to the indicated 65.4%. Where did 140,028 votes go to after being cast as they were neither rejected nor given to any of the candidates. This is the 140,000 votes that Ms. Juliana Cherera is complaining about and has been unable to establish. Clearly, she knew the answer but needed mathematical insight to arrive at it.

The results were ready at 10:30a.m. Chebukati announced at 6.05PM. Those 8 hours he tried to reason with his commissioners but they had switched off their phones and already departed for serena. The delaying tactics were by the 4 rogue commissioners NOT Chebukati. A returning officer cannot be held hostage for 8 hours even at the ward level. You have seen it with other results at lower levels. MPs or governors causing havoc and agents refusing to sign. The RO, goes on and announces either way.

In kenya voting was done at the polling stations. All the 46,229 stations countrywide. The results from polling station again is final. And they are documented and posted digitally on the IEBC portal. The hard copies are then delivered physically to the national returning officer mr. Chebukati. Now to verify is to compare what the constituency returning officers have delivered and what has been posted to the portal whether they agree or not. Once that is done he (Chebukati) now tallies them. Yaani sums up by addition to come up with a whole final result. So tallying is therefore the combination of all the results from polling stations to see who has garnered the highest votes!
