I started to cry because of how nice you all are to each other. I live in a social desert and thought that nice neighborly actions were history. Thank you so much for proving me wrong......😊
It never ceases to amaze me how friendly and generous home built camping people are. I guess that is what you Americans call “Southern Hospitality”. What a great channel. Thank you so much for posting!
I don't know if I've ever smiled more watching a video. I've been a nomad doing the van thing for a while, but this video may have sparked something new. Every bit of this was amazing.
Ryu's build was my favorite! A bunkbed in a teardrop is epic out of the box thinking! Side note: I've never heard a Southern American Asian accent before. So cool!
America at its best, what I love about you ,home grown fun that anyone can do , DIY tear drops rule , along with the folks who build them they are old school cool...
Thanks to you, I have now made it my goal to save up enough money to get a tear drop camper in 3-4 years. As soon as I’m done fixing up my 1987 Toyota pickup with all the goods I’m gonna buy a very cheap camper only because I don’t have the resources, time, or space to build one myself but eventually I will.
Ryan Haun That sounds like a great plan! When you do start looking for one, I highly encourage you to check out Facebook marketplace. I see several affordable campers show up on there frequently. Also, consider purchasing in December or January. The demand will be low then. Good luck!!
Have any of you ever really just thought "Going to u.s.a would be really neat" as a kid? That would have been fine! lol ah, life🎉 Now here's the best part! I live in Canada and unrelated just had to come back to this comment with the though of how somthing out thier might think they can use this again! I dought some things are bigger at all! I don't find on going non sence useful! Have a safe and healthy day where ever anyone lives
Ryu went all the way and made his family a super cool and functional teardrop camper. smiled when he opened up the storage in the kitchen revealing the most important asians necessity, the rice cooker🤣
The family teardrop that slept four people was truly exceptionally well designed and built. Even the 'not seen' parts were beautifully constructed, as seen when the rear battery box was opened! Thank you for your excellent video. Subscribed.
Ive been into campers for over 20 years. I lived in one for 9 years and need to say this video shows one of the best ways to build a camper. I would do a few things different but i love the simple layout.
It is so good to see all the great builds from the group and looks like I missed a wonderful time but you guys are so far from South Texas and driving great distances is prohibited by a back injury. I have ordered another trailer kit to start on another build, I only sell mine so I can build another as the build for me is great therapy and I want to own one of each style. Shout out to you all and super enjoyed this tour so like number 6,700 something
wow love your videos as usual but especially this one because of its location. When my wife and I travel to visit family this is where we stop overnight because its haveway to South Carolina where we stay.
Hey man! I was amazed at the table set up and bunk bed in your build. Great job, hopefully you can get out and enjoy your craftsmanship for years to come 👍🏼
I’ve got to get in the loop for this one. I didn’t know it was happening until it was over. Thanks for the video. We are hoping to make the summer one.
4:05 That is a beautiful Japanese Family. All I can say it he did over engineer his tear drop camper. One think I am all about is multi purpose. Great Video. Showed my brother. He wants to build something like this. How ever its more Off Road Overlander Style. But the Idea is the same. Small Form Factor. I will be the one helping him with the over engineering it lol It will be cool. It starts in the next 2 months. Will link it.
Camp & Camera: You did a fantastic job covering the gathering. I feel confident I can speak for myself & everybody there, Thanks! We love it! Great weekend.
Thank you so much! Hey, I’ve been looking at air conditioners since I got home. I’m gonna build one like yours. I wonder what would happen if the return hose was split such that it came in from each side? Hmmm....!
@@CampandCamera I considered something like that. I have a small duct fan on the way to add to my setup. If it does what I think it will, problems will be solved & a/c setup will still be simple. I will send details when I do the mods.
That is nice to see some of mini camper setup and if as plenty space for push bike owner can camp with their own trailer be awesome to have respect for each others and gets along with good times with new people it's so much fun to have mini camper setup for my push bike and I love riding out to beach to find good spot to camp for me to catch some fish be fun days
The four-person teardrop with its unique bunk and dining table is incredible! What a great mind he has to have come up with those designs. Thanks for a great video tour.
❤️ the video guys. Us too when our pups go to vet, we take them to Starbucks for a “puppychino “. Went to Kalispell two April’s ago. It was simply beautiful as was Whitefish. Truly enjoy your channel Patrick/Patty and loo forward to others. Be safe.
I have a old pop-up camper, that years ago I converted to a ice house, but it's been just sitting for the past 10+ years. The past couple years I've been really thinking about stripping it down to the bare frame and building a DIY teardrop camper. In the last week I've moved it to inside the pole building, so I'm getting serious now. As soon as I finish some work on a utility trailer, I'll be moving my efforts to this (so long as nothing else comes up). My goal is to make it fairly light, so that it can be towed behind a Subaru Outback. Thanks for the video, I got some really good ideas from this! Liked and subscribed.
Ryu, You really done a good job and how beautiful is that camper. I always dream of having one of this. Small and easy to tow. You really done a good job for a family of 4 living inside. Most of this one is for 2 person and you have it for 4, wow. If you ever want to sell this one, let me know.
I liked the one with the natural wood you didn't tour that one, frame 0.08. I like the woodgrain paneling inside a trailer or tear drop. Not many original trailers left. So when I see one I have to comment. Maybe one day I may build one. It's hard for my wife to get in and out and she isn't comfortable in closed spaces I may have to make one that you can see through the roof. Maybe a skylight or something and two large doors on the sides is a must. I already have the mat to sleep on because my sister in law decided not to get a tear drop. So I ended up with the mat. 73
I attended a homebuilt (mostly teardrops)/ tiny trailer event in a neighboring state, very cool people indeed !! I went with the aliner, due to life timeline constraints, but I'm camping. I have a couple of used utility trailer frames and plan to eventually satisfy my creative urge. Thanks for the video, looking forward to the rest of the series. Blue
12:08 I've been on the fence for months, but this is GENIUS! I'll be pulling with my Kia Soul and I am totally going to use a junkyard Soul rear hatch like this.
WoW!!! This was so awesome ... creativity abounds ....just beautiful...🦋 I started watching Cosmo Weems about 2 years ago ..his is not a DYI .. however he has outfitted it really nice and his has a large window which i haven't seen on the others ...plus and he camps a lot ..LOL!!! Cosmo is a very happy and funny guy ...LOL!!!
Thinking about building one of these, I’m super cheap and I gave some clever ideas I’d like to incorporate into my build, these guys are an inspiration to me, maybe I’ll come check you all out,
AWESOME!!! I'm a member of the Facebook group, REALLY neat of you to make a video! I really enjoyed seeing the people AND their builds, as well as enjoy your channel!
“9 years to think about it and a year to build it” yup basically sums up my life
I started to cry because of how nice you all are to each other. I live in a social desert and thought that nice neighborly actions were history. Thank you so much for proving me wrong......😊
LorrieAnne Silvey There are lots of good, helpful folks in the teardrop community. I left the gathering with many new friends.
It never ceases to amaze me how friendly and generous home built camping people are. I guess that is what you Americans call “Southern Hospitality”. What a great channel. Thank you so much for posting!
Thanks so much for watching! Yep, these folks are some of the nicest I’ve met.
I like the way Ryu's build utilized as much space as possible. Very resourceful. The jeep hatch was also neat!
I hope he figured out a way to mass produce this, cause that'd be awesome. Excellent ingenuity
WOW Ryu's camper just keeps having more surprises. And I love the jeep hatch, I imagine there's some very confused people driving behind that one
Love the back of that man’s jeep incorporated into his camper with all the lights beautiful 😎👍🏻✨
"Made in the USA. By Me". Love it.
Ryu has the best build teardrop camper I ever seem!
Agree, I'm not even done watching the vide but holy Batman!
All of the teardrops are genuinely unique to each family 💯💜💯💜💯
We love them in Australia, these things have captured my heart.
Jesus, this is by far the best thought out/built camper I've seen
I don't know if I've ever smiled more watching a video. I've been a nomad doing the van thing for a while, but this video may have sparked something new. Every bit of this was amazing.
That’s awesome! I really appreciate the feedback.
The jeep /tear drop build is cool. Love to see the genius of nessecity in folks. Way better than store bought junk ...
Totally agree!

That keep hatch has me thinking:-) love it!!
The Asian man very beautiful and innovative teardrop camper 😎👍🏻✨ 👏🏻✨
Ryus is a badass damn smart build,
This is what a man does for his family man! awesome
I was just trying to figure out to fit a bike rack on my build. Ryu solved that problem. Genius!

Very refreshing !

It’s such a great community!
An Asian with a country accent!! Awesome!!
For not knowing how to build a hatch it looks very good. And very good idea
So nice to see that many folks in one place who don't need to get up in the night to pee!
that jeep hatch was so cool and the other diy campers are great

Hats off to these creative and talented builders. What a pleasure to see ! Cheers 🇨🇦
Ryu was an interesting character. Sounded like a Japanese guy who moved to Texas as a kid.
Tennessee, but with southern accent either way. 😂

Never thought that I’d see a teardrop camper with a kotatsu. (I know it wasn’t installed, but it sure looked ready for it. :-)
You are giving me ideas... 🤔
These campers looks professionally built. This is what I am aiming for when I eventually build mine.
You can do it!
Seems like a cool community of pretty chill people.
I have a hard time deciding which one is my favorite!
And I hope Jose and Wendy built their teardrop!
super great builds guys and gals.
All the teardrops were awesome. But the back end on Ben Meyers was fantastic! What a smart idea! And... here is a big War Eagle 🦅! to Ben Meyers.

I love the jeep camper! I bet that thing turns heads everywhere he goes! What an excellent idea to carry a spare hub
Yeah, the spare hub is brilliant!
This is a super cool outdoor fun seeking teardrop community with no boundary. Absolutely amazing what people can achieve when we all come together.
Spot on!
The ingenuity displayed by some of these folks is just staggering! Thanks for the video!
I loved this video. What great coverage of a lovely event with some of my favorite new friends!
Thanks so much! Your trailer was beautiful!
Loved the Jeep Cherokee Hatchback on the camper!
Everyone did a great job. I think Ryu managed to find storage in places most didn't even know they had places.
Truly amazing build quality.. holy crap! imagine the cost if a company tried to manufacture something like that!
So dang cool!!
Great video and it was fun time. Now it's time to think about the upgrades. :)
It was great meeting you! Hey, is that grin still on your face?
It came back watching this video!
