Plan on living the #vanlife soon. Have thought seriously about a teardrop thru the years. Thinking of teardrop for my pop. The parents were avid travelers and campers. We lost mama 2 years ago. Trying to come up with a way for me and Pop to get out and about. We did the out west trip last summer. Gone for 3 weeks. Motels got r e a l expensive around Yellowstone and such. Couldn’t go back this year because of the wuhan flu. We plan on finishing up the loop next summer. Just floating ideas
We were camping at Cedar Point Campground, near Manchester, TN and I met Chris Stewart there. We talked a little and I went later to have him show me his camper, but he was gone. Maybe next time Chris - nice meeting you!
Since discovering your video I have been inspired by your DIYer's. I grew up with a camping mom and needless to say, camping is in my blood. I am so encouraged by your channel. I find myself checking out local ads for teardrop campers for sale. I know that's not DIY, but I am intrigued. Happy camping you all!❤️

I have a question for you - when did this gathering take place? Hopefully it wasn't in June of 2020. There doesn't appear to be any social distancing and no sign of any masks. With the Covid-19 pandemic ongoing, I think it's very foolish of all these people to gather and no take any precautions to protect themselves and others.

@@CampandCamera - I wasn't meaning to offend you or anyone else - I was just sharing a concern for people's welfare. You can't be too careful when dealing with Covid because as you probably know, you can have it and have no symptoms but could be passing it to others. I am a camper since childhood and am always in awe of people who are so creative when it comes to their campers.

A 10 minute video is usually about 15 hours of work. Since the viewer gets to watch for free, ads are the only way I get a dollar or two for my time. Even still, I make about 4 times less than minimum wage on TH-cam.

He is not the only one with a teardrop with a composting toilet. I split the bed used a drop floor and storage bin bump outs.

With the outdoor AC unit like the last camper...how do you work the thermostat so it reads inside the camper?
He removed the controls from the unit and put them inside the camper. He uses a multi wire extension cable that plugs into the camper to run it.

What material did John Miller use on the outside of his build? It doesn't look like wood or even fiberglass.
How did he curve the plywood @7:30 ?
Curving plywood is typical in a build. The plywood is usually around 1/8” - 3/16” thick.
What do you have for top edge trim?I originally bought 3/4 in aluminum angle, but I am worried about screws leaking.
I picked up trim from vintage Technologies.
Put a dab of silicone in the hole before the screw
