    I added a second stacked mulching blade (Honda part #72531-VE2-020) to make it a "twin blade" type system like Honda offers on some of their higher priced models. It just stacks on top of the regular blade and bolts back on, no special modifications needed.
    The mulched clippings were reduced in length vs the original single mulching blade (I'd say 2/3 to half the length of the single blade system alone.) If you are looking for a cleaner finished appearance and fewer stray mulched grass clippings, this is a worthwhile upgrade - works better mulching leaves too.

      That is a good tip. I didn't realize they were interchangeable.

    Quick note: have kept up on maintenance and annual oil changes…8 years later, still running strong.

    I got this same exact model earlier this spring 2017. The new motors now have "Auto Choke". Basically there is no choke lever for the operator to move. Just make sure the fuel valve is turned on and pull the start lever to the handlebar. Pull the cord and it's running.

    This is some kind of hybrid Honda lol. Has the motor from the commercial grade version (HRC) complete with manual fuel shut off and throttle control, but the deck of the residential push (HRS). I don't know how in the world you got this, but hold onto that sir, you've got a white unicorn.

    Wow you won the lottery. The GSV160 is their commercial engine and these usually come with GCV160 consumer engine. Or somebody put on the wrong cover but I think you got the GSV since has fuel shutoff I don't think comes on GCV.

    What about the hour counter meter that you installed? Has the double sided tape released from vibration over the years?

    Was there more than one type of Harmony 216? Mine is a 216, yet it is self propelled. It's a 1995 Harmony 2 hrs 216.

      Tennis racket grip tape. It lasted about 2 years before I needed a re-wrap (and I think the DEET based insecticide I use may have had something to do with the first wrap coming apart.) I bet golf club wrapping would work great too.

    How has it held up over the years?

    • @arobinson1602
      @arobinson1602  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Held up very well. Tennis grip caused some corrosion on the handle, so wouldn’t do that again. Still fires on first pull (synthetic gas).
