There's just something beautiful about this footage- the live music, the outdoors venue, the song I've loved, learned & played for years, but mostly Patty just singin' her heart out, with a great backing band, at what appears to be late afternoon giving way to dusk. She's lookin' great and I love the outfit and her hair, but she delivers the vocal, so rich in tone and emotion, without over workin' it, as she always does- with the true steadfast, stand out, earnestness of a country classic. A great unfettered performance by a queen of a country singer. Graciously appreciative of the crowd's response in the fade, too! Love ya, Patty! Karl
I'm a rocker by heart so I don't really listen to country. but there's just something I love about Patty. She's cute with a special kind of sex appeal and a powerful yet beautiful voice. Been a fan for years and this song ranks as one of my absolute favs.
I saw Patty sing this song at The State Fair of W.V. in the late 90s . She sung it perfect , just like she did in this performance ... Thanks for all of the beautiful songs Patty ...
Love this song saw Patty in the late 90s at the WV State Fair with my Mom and Dad who are no longer with me such blessed times we had together miss them so much and always love them.
Glad i found this, I was there...july 1996, if I recall, tickets were free if you bought fruit of the loom underwear! lmao...of course you could buy tickets, but I needed skivies!!! Hank did a great show too, as did, Alabama, and hell...all the others!
Love this song. The lead guitar on the album is amazing (kind of the style of Dave Navarro), but I don't hear it on this live version. Who is the lead guitar in her band (on album?)
Can anyone advise of the date of the above performance? If you know the name and location of the Concert or Event where this was taking place and can provide that information as well I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide. -TOM
+x5o Yes, this was from Country Fest at Atlanta Motor Speedway July 17, 1996. I was within 10 feet of the security fence for her performance and had to wipe the drool from my chin several times. Patty is such a great performer, beautiful lady, and she'll be 60 next February . Many top bands played that day and Jeff Foxworthy was the evening host. I could go on and on about the day but it was definitely one of those, "Had to be there!"
Old video, audio is not great, but you can still hear Patty here just nailed every single note. Wow. What an era of country.

i rember that show that was a good concert that was my frist time ive seen patty loveless i had a big crush on her
For her to be 60+ yrs old... I still have a crush on her! Hard to believe she's Loretta Lynn's cousin though. Such a unique voice.
Carmella Ramsey's harmony vocal makes this song...
Did she have bush or clean shavin
If o had to guess being the mid 90s I’d say runway.’
