Out of all of the 80s rockers, James’ voice has held up better than any of them in any genre. And I’m not even a huge Metallica fan, but it is just undeniable he’s sounds better than the vast majority of singers from his era.
I think he’s referring to the themes of the song not the actual music seen as though the themes are about how drugs are the master of the user and how drugs control their lives
How are artist surprised by this? I listen to a lot of bands that quit playing before I was born. Smart people find good music, regardless of when it was released .
I love at about 6:30 james wants a selfie with rob! It really doesn't get much better than this. Trading intricate solos, the build up. Everyone is in the pocket. Rob really makes the band sound rock solid.

James’ vocals were spot on and the sound was incredible. Howard’s response at the end summed up my feelings, exactly.
Michael Stern one reason the sound was good was cause they added more BASS guitar
Out of all of the 80s rockers, James’ voice has held up better than any of them in any genre. And I’m not even a huge Metallica fan, but it is just undeniable he’s sounds better than the vast majority of singers from his era.
3:33 Holy s*** thats fucking 90s James
David Hdz. We want 80s James.
David Hdz. Holy fucking fuck!!!!!!! It is!!!!
David Hdz. I never thought I'd live to see another growl come out of him like that!
"Little kids liking Master of Puppets?" Yes, James...'kids' still appreciate great music...and that album is a classic.
I think he was referring to when they first started playing it live
TheAlfsterino he said it was the year 1985, chill
I think he’s referring to the themes of the song not the actual music seen as though the themes are about how drugs are the master of the user and how drugs control their lives
How are artist surprised by this? I listen to a lot of bands that quit playing before I was born. Smart people find good music, regardless of when it was released .
that wasnt now that was in 1985
Look at the expression on James face while Kirk is shredding the solo. He clearly hasn’t lost his love for music
I think we need to talk about how excellent his voice is. Blew my mind, sounds the exact same as the records!
Just hearing Rob's bass that loud is itself a tribute to Cliff... \m/
adzari I think it's great to but that's a huge stretch
so this is how it sounds like with bass.... perfect!
8:05 Dat RUN!!
This is possible the best sounding thing I’ve ever heard
„Wow, you boys are something else“ he says in the end.
What a incredible perfect performance ❤
Kirk answering 85 like a wife who remembers the last time her husband renovated the kitchen
this made me laugh out loud
So funny.
😂
Everytime. I laugh at your comment. Lol.
Jajajjaaaa csm
I love at about 6:30 james wants a selfie with rob! It really doesn't get much better than this. Trading intricate solos, the build up. Everyone is in the pocket. Rob really makes the band sound rock solid.
I’ll be 53 in a few days and in my early 20’s when I first heard Master of Puppets. Loved it then and still LOVE it!! Hetfield is still awesome and this is one of my favorite guitar solos! This sounds as great 33 years later as when I first heard it!!! And can you say bass!!! WOW! Just WOW!!!! 👏👏👏👏
Damn, you’re old hun
I envy yu❤ lol.
I seriously have no clue how hetfield is able to play this song all the way through without his wrist snapping in half
Sound Mixer Dude: "And Justice for Jason..."
Wow
But Jason wasn’t even around for the making of MOP...
Cause James motioned for him to turn it up
Still amazes me watching James down pick everything.
helmedon I know right? It’s ridiculous.
@@thegstr33t81 thats the word. ridiculous.
its truly heroic
I've heard that most have to down pick for this riff or else it's tough otherwise. But it's crazy how long he's been doing that.
The lord of the down pick.
It's a total journey of a song. Harsh and loud but entirely sincere about its subject. Massive respect to the Metallica lads and R.I.P Cliff Burton, the Mozart of Thrash
