Your sound engineer needs a raise Howard. These were some of the best Metallica performances I’ve seen. Amazing sound quality and they played like in the old days, i.e. clearly having a lot of fun.
Im pretty sure they are sick of all of their old songs. Why havent they retired? Because they have nothing else to live for. When you arent here to do Gods will, you really have no purpose. They keep doing it to try and fill a void that only God can. Thats why james is back in rehab. You can have all the money and fame and still be broken. They need a relationship with God. I mean one where you talk to him and he responds. These cookie cutter churches are all mostly traditional in operatio.. They read from the bible, sing and nothing has changed. They need a real relationship. I dont know why i just talked about all of that. Maybe it was meant for someone to read.
I love 4:10😂 James says ooooo Crib Death and Lars starts dying laughing. And James’ maniacal laugh when he says “it’s just the beasts under your bed”. I just love it all!! Metallic truly is my favorite band!!
This was basically like Metallica Playing live in your living room, Howard Stern you really living the good life my man! Hope one day Metallica can come play for my friends in my living room, that would be awesome!
This is one of the best takes James has had on this song in a long time. No voice cracks or losing pitch. Sounded really good. After a 2 hour live set his singing voice is usually shot
He's always had it. He just doesn't go out all when singing live. Singing like that ruins your vocal chords, so he saves it for studio recordings and special occasions like this.
Howard's sound engineer is one of the best! Srsly, I never heard anything badly mixed from this show. Well balanced, great overall sound, everything sounds so damn clear and live.👌 Amazing performance by Metallica.🤘They seems so fresh and you can feel they really enjoyed the moment! Love this!👍
Dean Winchester YES!!!! It's THE BEST intro in the world. Sometimes i keep rewinding and listening to the intro like 10 times before playing the song. It's just THAT good!!!
It might be surprising, but the intro, rhythm fill, and main riff are extremely easy. I picked it up in a hour. To be fair, I have had 3 years of guitar classes, but you should be able to pick it up real quick if you try.

One thing I've noticed about this band. They always seem to feed off each other so much better and have more fun when they're in an intimate space performing. So much more energy. When they're playing huge arena's, or outdoor events with 8 sets of hanging PA speakers , the vibe is just way different. Just watch that record store performance of these guys. SO MUCH ENERGY. They're such a huge band now that you'll never see them playing small venues and it's sad.
