I cannot tell you how much I'm enjoying learning after such a long time. Physics was my favourite subject in school because it answered to the infinite "hows" I had as a child. I was fortunate to have a great teacher who loved the subject and his teachings kindled the spark of learning more and more. However, as with the case with many of us I was pushed into the rat race of getting good marks and slowly my passion for physics died. Today after 8 years from passing my school I have felt the same joy I felt as a child when I learnt something new and meaningful.
Thank you Biswa for putting in the efforts and more importantly to teach us that there's no age to learning. I remember my teacher saying that knowing anything is always a "plus" for someone.
I send you lots of love and hope you continue doing this. ❤️

If the sun disappears, you won't feel it instantly, the curvature of space-time will flatten at the speed of light and we will experience the lack of light and lack of gravitational pull at the same time. The wave that flattened the space-time is the gravitational wave itself and it doesn't move instantaneously
Remember: no information can travel faster than light, hence you can't know about absence if gravitational effect faster than light either

Awesome job by Biswa in explaining the concepts. A few clarifying points for those who are interested in the physics:
    1. If observer A is moving relative to B, B will measure A's clock to be slower and A will measure B's clock to be slower. Both are correct. This is what gives fuel to Twin's paradox
    2. When A is approaching speed of light with respect to B, B will measure A's mass to increase. The increase in mass comes from the energy used to accelerate A as measured by B (E = mc^2). That is the reason a particle with mass can't reach light speed as it will require infinite energy. Universe bends backwards here so that any energy invested to increase the velocity will be converted to mass so that the particle can't reach the speed of light
    3. If the sun was to disappear, the loss of gravitation would not be felt instantaneously. The flattening of the spacetime curvature would reach Earth at light speed (approx. 8 minutes). Any transfer of information (in this case, the disappearance of sun) can't happen faster than light speed

List of things I learnt about the theory of relativity after watching this video:
1.The speed of light is always constant independent of the reference point. Even space and time bend for light.
2.The Universe won't allow objects to move at the speed of light. It will increase its mass to prevent that from happening.
    3.Mass and energy are interconvertable.
    4.Gravity can bend light.
Hope I understood it the right way. Please correct me if it has mistakes.
Also I have a doubt, Is it theoretically possible to make a neutron star by accelerating neutrons to nearly the speed of light so that its mass increases?(*btw I don't know anything about neutron stars and it is very likely to be a stupid question*)

First of all Biswa you are The Man and Kenny you made killer jokes about light itself !!! Rocked !!
Thank you guys for trying to make education interesting, if young people (I am an old bloke myself, I mean 'uncle level' old) would get excited about edu then our nation ( and the whole geo-political region and yes, humanity itself) would be a much better place ... we loose a lot of talent just because the kids thought edu is boring.
I am a muslim and I scrolled to notice that this audience is extraordinarily decent for not having commented on the background sound on Biswa's end ... I really think megaphones should not be used for anything except genuine public announcements. Let us all love science ... a bit ... as compared to so much of religion ( I am pretty religious, but by its very nature religion is a very private matter ... why tom tom about affection for any God ... bhai shor kyun).
    Love and peace.

TH-cam recommended this video to me. Some comedians first attacked the political system of the country, now comedians are teaching. Finally, this profession is also becoming like any other professions, where they do everything else other than what they are supposed to do. All that being said, very informative video i must say

Super interesting. Biswa is such a dedicated teacher. Not budging at any jokes made by class...only response to jibes ...ok. then carries on teaching. Doesn't want students to give their 100 RS. Instead only their undivided attention. Kaash hamare teachers wud be 1/3rd of this...but it's unfair to expect that at their level of pay n class strength.

40:15 Biswa you can just say that as mass is a measure of inertia... So when someone is moving with very very high speed, it's difficult for one to stop the object...which says it has more inertia and hence, we can say it has more mass (or) the body is more massive when it's in motion than when it's at rest.

Great Video but a little more emphasis on Frame of reference would help! You need to tell us (and Kenny) that that people watching B from frame of reference of A will find the clock of B slow relative to theirs. While B will not see any difference.

Hey...good video, but a few inaccuracies...for instance...if the sun disappears...we wont stop experiencing gravity until abt 8 minutes as gravitational waves travel and the speed of light and honestly...if we would feel it immediately...it would actually be inconsistent with relativity itself as it says c is the universal speed limit
