Do Timberland boots run big? No. Do they use real leather? Yes. These are some of the many fun things I'll be talking about today in my TIMBERLAND BOOT REVIEW! They are some of the best waterproof boots money can buy. They are NOT Timberland Pros (does anyone want a video on that?) those boots are steel toe and good or great for construction. We'll be diving into the world of Timbs, New York City's favorite boot that started off in New England. Are Timberland boots still trendy? Are they fun?! Am I fun?! Am I in MAINE?! Okay. I don't even know what I'm talking about. Bye.
    Bye.
Can I interest you in a hot bowl of following ME and The Snail in other places??

The Iron Snail is a men’s fashion vlog starring a young man named Michael and featuring a snail no bigger than a quarter. The two are set on taking over the world of fashion by creating a clothing line to end all clothing lines. Until then, we’re here to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about the best clothing out there, from the highest quality raw denim jeans to the warmest jackets to the sturdiest boots…the Iron Snail has got you covered. (written by Taylor, though Michael is sometimes known to talk about himself in the third person… xoxo)

I’m from the NYC area Timberlands became popular in the urban community because of the hustler’s in the 90’s were outside allday and night hustling in the cold and rain and they also went with everything …people in nyc love carhartt also because that too kept them dry and also we loved Columbia rain suits…most rappers were hustling before they blew in the music industry so the fashion came along with them

I’ve had my timbs since 2013 and they’ve survived through multiple Chicago and Boston winters, years in the kitchen, trekking through the desert, and generally being beat up and not maintained for 10 years and they STILL look good. I understand that objectively they are not the best built boot out there but to me that pair is the goat 🫡

bought my first timbs boots 2 months ago and i fucking love them. I always wanted them, but always thought that they will end up collecting dust. Boy, was i wrong. i find them super comfortable, they are super easy to get in and out of, they look great. And the fact that you can wear them year round, is amazing. For cold days just throw on some thick socks or double sock up and you're good to go. I wear them so often now that i am starting to feel bad for my other shoes.

also on the history of timberland's becoming a hip hop and streetwear icon, at first the higherups at the company didn't like it. One of them was quoted saying ''we don't sell boots for thugs'' after the company received backlash for the comments and their sales fell in the late 2000s. They quickly backtracked and ended up collaborating with Nas.

The Timberland Alburn is a significantly nicer boot when on the feet due to a better last design as well as the fact that it has real stitching. It is a sleeper in the Timberland lineup,

The reason Newyorkers fell in love with Timbs as we like to call em!
Started in the streets mostly the hood ghetto neighborhoods, drug dealers & people who were constantly outside hanging out needed something durable warm & water proof while at the same time dope looking.
Same thing happend with Carthartt, North face etc.
Also NYC is big on having new sneaker all the time looking fresh & clean so sneakers are not preferred when it's raining or snowing out.
From there it led to Timbs looking so fresh that we also started wearing them in the summer with shorts. From there it spread from state to state then worldwide.
Also after 2 Pac wore the 40belows in the movie Juice cause he seen every body in NYC wearing them.
But I remember going down south or other states back then & people saying why are you wearing boots in the summer with shorts?.
    They were dumbfounded
Alot of companies owe alot of there success to Ghetto kids...
Still got a closet full of sneakers & Timbs & I'm 49. if i told you how many pairs of Timbs you wouldnt believe it.
If your not a New Yorker you probably wouldn't understand.

Got a pair just because I wanted a stylish boot to have during fall and mild winter times since I needed a boot. They are fine for what I use them for, however they don't stand colder temperatures really well. If I use these in 0 degrees celsius or below my feet will feel cold after a while. I also sized up since I had wider feet and had to go for a more wiggly toespace.

As an experienced hiker and mountaineer, I can say with confidence that these boots are not put together well. Although I personally never owned a pair, I have a few friends that own these and in surprisingly many instances I have witnessed these boots falling apart after a single hike. In a very note worthy instance, in a single hike two pairs fell apart from two of my buddies. I myself use a 80€ pair of military leather boots that have proven themselves and paired with hiking socks they're reliable and good enough.

They are uncomfortable AF. They feel like wearing wooden clogs. They look nice when they're brand new, that's all they have going for them.

Timberlands were good and then they got greedy and went for cheaper materials and poor quality. As with all things, there are better built boots that are more comfortable, durable, well made and with proper care will last longer. You may have to pay a bit more but that initial cost will save you so much money and time in the long run.

" You keep using that word, but I do not think it means what you think it means ".
With the exception of rubber wellingtons there are very few boots out there that get a pass for not being built like boots of proper boot materials, and these aren't one of them.
People can disagree all they want, but these aren't real boots.
Around here where I live just about every man wears boots for work and if it's not cowboy boots it's Thorogood and Carolina moc toes with the odd USMC Rat boot in the mix here and there.
You'll hardly see a pair of these things and when you do they're never dirty nor are they ever laced up or worn by somebody with their pants all the way on.
They're made like a sneaker out of sneaker materials, and rarely ever worn as a boot for boot tasks by anybody who needs a boot.
