Hey Michael! With summer around the corner would you consider doing a linen video? Maybe like a buying guide or one of your informational videos about the fabric!
Agree with the previous comment, so glad I found your channel. I hope it blows up. Even though I can’t afford half the brands lol, it gives me ideas for ones I can. Thanks for great content
Your video on Russell Moccasins boots caused me to be obsessed with them. It happened at a good time though, as they had a discounted pair of Backcountry Weathered Oak seconds in my size. Can't wait for them to come.
YES I was waiting for a video of you actually building outfits around what you talk about. Even tho I felt what you said about liking the materials and items more than the actual outfit building xddd
Michael!!! Do you still wear your sugar cane type 2 jacket or did that get lost in the age of minimalism?!?! I bought the same jacket and have a bit over a year in it and would love to see yours! Great video, keep it up!
Nice video Michael. Where in NH are you moving? I’m moving there too soon as my gf got into grad school there. A video idea: over the course of the next few months, film before and afters of all the pieces you get tailored to show what a difference tailoring can make. It’s clear from this video you’ve got a very specific idea of what you think fits and what does not, and you know how to fix it. As someone who’s newer to fashion, I thought a lot of the outfits fit you great! But I also don’t mind a looser fit. A video like this would be interesting to see how different types of tailoring can affect garments (I.E. hemming pants length vs bringing in the waist size)
I promise I don't hate this channel, I'm just vocal about my criticisms cause I think if nobody speaks up the product never gets better. I do like u Michael. That being said; dude, if you're gonna do a lookbook video bring some inspiration to the table. Blue jeans and a white shirt with leather shoes. Black on black with leather shoes. The white on white was different but 🤷🏼♂ I thought you were gonna start being more adventurous! That being said, the high cut safari pants with the white tucked in shirt were a vibe and will be getting looked into.
Absolutely love the fitment notes. It seems like I'm between sizes on basically everything that has ever been made to fit a human body, so I tend to stick to a very select few styles and brands that work for me. This has led to me having a limited style palette, which now makes me feel like I look weird in clothes I'm not familiar with. Having some sizing notes and especially styling notes like adding a belt and ironing goes a long way for giving me something to look for in clothes that look objectively good on me but make me think I look weird. TL:DR please keep doing fitment and styling notes
13:03 Yes, yes YES! denim pullover ❤️❤️❤️ I ordered a railroad denim pullover from Bronson and it got lost in the mail then it was OOS then I had a stroke and now that's all I think about 😢
your style really really resonates w my favorites. really wish I could invest in these brands. Been sticking to fast fashion tops, levi’s denim, and just started investing in nice boots.
I bought a waxed jacket last year, the 1908 Miners Jacket by Pike Brothers, it’s gone out of production and they still have some Medium in stock, but if it’s not to late that would be my choice for the waxed jacket olympics. It’s 15oz waxed canvas made by Halley Stevenson, and it’s ridiculously stiff at first, but after being worn in its easily become my favourite jacket to wear anywhere
Regarding shirt sizing, you gotta also take into account shrinkage, especially for flannel/chamois shirts. Over time, they will shrink with multiple washes, so the 38 may be fine in the long run.
Banana Republic (and Gap) pants fit me the best. I know they are a big corp company, but they have the fit dialed in. J Crew is also good, but BR has them beat. (I have a slim, athletic build.) Also, Taylor Stitch runs big on me too. My favorite jeans I have (and I have tried lots of brands) are a pair of Levis 501 Tapered. Next are BR jeans.
Michael! When will your jeans come out? I have itchy-Jean-trigger-finger and have had to fight the urge to buy jeans knowing that yours are in the works!
some cool fits in here. not everything has to be the perfect fit. outfit 2 at 3:42 is so fire. it's put together and nonchalant at the same time. uniform type shit
Every time you do one of these videos it reminds me that I really need to slow down and be more thoughtful with my purchases. I've ended up with a wardrobe with too many boring basics and fewer outfits I really like as a result. Summer shoes that aren't white sneakers are something I want to explore more. P.S. - Red Tornado makes a dupe of the Filson x Levi's collaboration, not sure how I feel about it but figured people might be interested.
The pants at 2:51 have front pleats. You need to iron them with pleats in mind. They should have a nice crisp pleat following all the way down to the hem. Once you hem them they might look dressier if you iron them correctly. Otherwise the front pleats look odd for a casual outfit.
Hard pass on the 1/4 zip, UNLESS it's a Filson Ranger anorak. Thank you for your videos. Santa will bring me a pair of Russell moccasins this year, thanks to your video.

Steve McQueen didn't wear the sanders boots, the ones he wore where made by a brand called Hutton of Northampton, Hutton had financial problems in the 80s and sold the design, machines, patents, etc. to sanders (or another Swedish company, i'm not sure) anyway, fast forward to today and the person who owned the Hutton name etc. started making the boots again under the name 'playtime' they are, in my view, the most accurate to the ones that Steve McQueen wore and are extremely well made.
The pullover may have different sized shoulders due to the material being factory washed or not washed. Good makers will account for around 1 cm of shrinkage after the first wash.
Also, I love the look of half button old style shirts like the ones at the end of your video but I know I wouldn’t wear them because I think they look best when tucked in and I don’t like wearing tucked-in shirts so it doesn’t work for me. Interesting video Michael. I don't know how much research and analysis you do before shooting your videos, because it's a bit weird to do post analysis on things that should've been prepared before making said video. But, I see that you have a better understanding of size and fit now because of this video. I also see that you've been busy with developing your brand and maybe doing a move as well. May I suggest getting an assistant or assembling a team to help with the production of your videos? Still, a great video nonetheless, but it feels too haphazardly put together; maybe because you just got a bunch of stuff from Huckberry/TS and you became very excited to make a vid?
