I have never seen such expert craftsmanship for footwear before. The boot turned out absolutely amazing. I'm genuinely blown away.
I grew up in South Texas cattle country. Yes, I wore and destroyed many pairs of boots. (I'm 65, bad fallen arches prevents my cowboy boot wearing today!) What surprised me was the number of intricate small steps in this overhaul. Also, explaining the purpose of those steps to the viewer in order to get a clearer big picture really helps the average guy. The craftsmanship is outstanding. You guys are real artisans. The boots look amazing. Thanks for this one. Happy trails from the Texas brush country!
A real craftsman
I've been told, and have experienced it to some degree, that the heel height can play havoc with fallen arches. I can't wear a riding boot due to my own fallen arches, but I can get by with a walking boot or ropers. Hope that helps.
@@Shawn-ik6dr I have been wearing some Jim Greene African Rangers (made in South Africa). Super comfy, the leather is tough enough, and they feel great. I also wear some wedge soled Thoroughgood lace ups. Those are very comfortable. I have some very nice black ropers for church and weddings and funerals.
Can arch supports help?
@brendaowens2466 in my case, no. I tried all manner of orthotics. The podiatrist wanted to find something, but nothing worked. I now wear moc toe lace-up boots with heavy Vibram soles. That helps a lot. Any rise due to a heel is painful. Flatter is better.
Im happy to see this kind of work in such a throw away world.
I grew up in Abilene Texas, but my Mom & Dad were both from a small town in Cisco, Texas. My Grandfather & my Uncle ran the "OK Boot and Shoe repair. It was there that I fell in love with the smell of leather, and polish.
Playing with scraps, cutting the edges with the roller, and stamping my initials and in stuff to keep my self entertained as a small boy in the summertime. It is long been closed, they are both gone, no doubt making sandals for our Lord.
Love you video, brought back great memories.
🤠 Bruce
WHY did I spend half an hour watching this?
Because I enjoy watching someone who excels at their craft. Well done!
Skill and artistry for a great pair of boots. Beautiful end product
My grandfather was a shoe and boot repair man. He learned from his father (E C Miles Saddlery) He died at age 55 I was 9 years old. All of his tools and shop were sold before I could learn from him. I taught my self and my sons to make our own saddles. It is in the DNA. Pretty work.
Mine too.
Fantastic job! You knocked it out of the park, Cobbler Tobias! Amazing craftsmanship. Those old welts really fought you. Wishing everyone at Wyatt and Dad a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a blessed New Year.
Your videos are sooo well filmed, they look like a professional movie. The editing is also incredble. Loved the music choices as well.
Thanks! We try to make the videos with the same level of craftsmanship that we put into our work
@Kenny-yl9pc it definitely looks better than most of the documentaries I've seen, and I've seen hundreds of documentaries, because I'm a nerd. don't be such a tool, kiddo.
Wow, not only was that some outstanding craftsmanship, but great presentation, I especially enjoyed how you showed the process, along with the tips and products. I wish other TH-camrs could watch and take notes of your video. Now I want to send you a pair of boots!
Perfect for a cold sunday sit back by the fire and enjoy craftmanship
Lucchese boots are Made in Texas. And you guys are real good at restoring boots. Kudos to Y'all from Texas!!!
Very detailed video excellent craftsmanship, Beto's worthy!!!! Thankyou so much 🥰👍 Best video I've ever seen and I wear loafers 😱✌️
Who’s Bedos? 🤣🤣🤣
You had my undivided attention - enjoyed every minute ---
I would be hesitant to take my first steps on such fine art! Beautiful craftsmanship.
LOL your uncle that was great Love the recrafting video !!!! Great work again
Outstanding craftsmanship! Merry Christmas to you all!
Wow. As Someone who LOVES boots - and has a few pairs of luccheses - it was so cool to watch this process. I learned so much and gained such an appreciation for your work. Thanks so much for this my friends! - Michael
I am in absolute awe at the skill, precision, craftsmanship and patience it took to do this job. I make good money in sales, but this gentleman at the end of the day has a true sense of accomplishment 😊😊❤❤
Amazing workmanship
That last finish you put on the sole was the cherry on top!!
Fabulous work 🎉
Or the cherry on the bottom?

😅😂 funny shit for sure. These boots are sweet. This dude is awesome for keeping them alive and the fact that when they were being taken apart, shows how important it is to buy good boots! I've had boots come apart easy when I didn't want them to! No they weren't cheap but any amount is too much for junk boots. So I had 200 in em and then thought they were a fluke and that I was too hard on them, so I got another pair, they did the same thing. While I have others, I no longer ever worry about 400-2000 on some boots I'll have the rest of my life!
They look fantastic!
Absolutely amazing work. Beautiful results
DAMN… It’s hard watching the old sole destroyed on such beautiful boot, but THE NEW SOLE!!!!!!
Love this!!! Nothing like handmade boots.
Pure art! Absolutely therapeutic to watch. And wow, Bach’s Adagio took it all to the next level-just mesmerizing!
Awesome work! 👍
Amazing work!!! Wow
Those are one of the best pair of boots I’ve seen. WOW!! Love the color! You did an amazing job! I couldn’t stop watching! Awesome video superb work!
Lovely video. So professional. I also love watching bedos leather works
This is the best cobbler's TH-cam channel !
Beautiful boots, love the color
Awesome work 👍
that was amazing. Sir, you did an awesome job on those boots. You are very good at your trade. It's great to see a young man keeping this trade alive. Keep it up...
Great job!
This is the first time I’ve watched you work and it was very interesting!! Thank you for the great video. So many steps in the process. I’m amazed. Stay strong!
The shots of Woody watching you dye, that’s what I think of anytime I dye or polish leather. Here from Reddit btw.
Fabulous content,I really had no idea of the craftsmanship necessary to resole / reheel a pair of boots. Thank you for the insight!
Excellent/beatify craftsmanship!!
It's nice to see an artist at work. Good job 😅😅😅
BEAUTIFUL JOB.
Absolutely amazing finish, quality craftsmanship rare these days, such beautiful boots. 👌
Very relaxing !
Verry beautiful, you are a very good craftsman.
Those were such beautiful boots.
Like reshowing a horse.... luv it!! True artisan.... thank you
Can’t wait to get my 2 pairs of custom luccheses to y’all. Tony texted me the same day I emailed y’all and ask for pictures of the boots. Said it would be a custom job especially on my black American gator belly ones. Can’t wait to get them to y’all in a couple weeks.
@@dirtchevy41 we look forward to it!
I would love to learn how to do that and maybe open a shop in CT. Where could I take some classes or be an apprentice? I don’t know if there’s any good cobblers near me 🤷♂️. Great video! 👍
Unfortunately, there aren’t any formal schools anymore in the US. That’s why some master cobblers started TH-cam channels. They hope to pass on their knowledge
A masterpiece! I have hand sanded sometimes wet sanded. Great tip! I should get some Feiblings & maybe that Angelus! Those boots are awesome with my favorite vine pattern. I have similar in lizard & wondering how safe the Angelus is as I mostly use Saphir.
Wow, that's art! Look too nice to wear now! Gorgeous boots. Well done.
Love the music with this video. Beautiful!
This a skill that, I'm afraid is slowly dying. As a man who loves his shoes, especially well made/hand made ones, of exotic animals skins, watching this young man/Cobbler at work, gave me immense satisfaction and deeper appreciation for the skills and abilities involved. I've witness my share of "leather work" from handmade belts, wallets, pocketbooks, etc. and have always appreciate the skills involved. I have a pair of dress boots, still waiting to be taken to my local shoe shop for much needed work.
Awesome. Love the red stitching.
Amazing works
Lisa has a great video on welting at the toe. If you press into the welt further out it keeps it flat!
Awesome work!
Absolutely amazing work, though I dont know if I'm more impressed with the boot work or the camera and editing work.
Nice work. Those boots are beautiful.
Beautiful job and boots❤
I have a pair of these boot I bought back in 97 in Houston they were made out of road kill elephant. That's some of toughest leather ever. Not a scratch.
🎉 excellent workmanship & exquisite fine finishing touches. Enjoyed watching content of your channel! My wife enjoyed watching your channel too, however she commented that when you interviewed other cobbler and each time they do their work she doesn’t like the way way those other cobblers do the cork not cleaning it well n removing the residue and not doing a fully smooth job. We’re not cobblers. She highly praised Tony & Tobias excellent work.
We appreciate yall watching!
Simply beautiful.......beautiful job
Talk about relaxing with that music going.
That’s really outstanding work.
Watching youtube on my tv is such a better experience!
@@dra960 it’s definitely a game changer
Very impressive. Love your work. I’ll look to you for boot work in the future. 👍
Got me drooling over these boots
Absolutely well done!
There is a pair of roper boots I’ve had my eye on but can’t stand the straight heel on them. I like a slight taper to the back of the heel for a better look . I didn’t realize I could have that heel changed to my liking .
That’s definitely a possibility
Great work amazing boots.
1995,I was working in Monterrey Mexico and traveled to McAllen TX for the weekend.
Stopped in a large boot store in McAllen and was considering the purchase of a pair of Lucchese Alligator similar to these.
$5000.00 in 1995.
Beautiful work.
them gators ready to bite! mean pair
Beautiful job!
Beautiful i want a pair like that now

gorgeous work 😮
Nice work!
No more tape on the fingers? I gotta admit, I read that about wrapping the thread around the haft on her site, and even though I'm not even a cobbler I found it difficult to not instinctively just wrap the thread around my fingers.
Great Look..!!
Great job. This has almost become a forgotten trade. Great craftsmanship. Where are you located? I’ve been recently looking for a shoe cobbler near me. Sadly they’ve all died off along with their trade. I’m having to look into driving three plus hours to Fort Worth area or ship them to someone.
@@williamiler8148 thanks! We are in NC. You can check us out here WyattandDad.com
If you are near Lufkin, we know an excellent cobbler there.

Absolutely loved this ❤ my son tossed his vintage Lucchese boots ugghh
There was not much left of them sadly
You got damn good skills ,very nice....
Friend, excellent video. Can you teach me how to design the heel, since I see that the last cover is smaller. Thank you. How can I send you some images of what my shoes and boots look like?

They bad!!!!🔥
Incredible ❤
I live in Winston I can’t wait to have you guys hook up my boots!
@@jaredbrooks7219 awesome! We are ready whenever you are
I have a pair of beeswax leather clarks Wallabees. I’m curious what is the best way to treat scuffs without changing the color of the leather or adding shine? I like the look of the leather and how it is more of a matte finish. They scuff easily.

Beautiful 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
How much does a full boot resole cost?

Beautiful boots and awesome craftsmanship on the job. Also , are these the same boots that Keanu Reeves wore in The Devils Advocate? They focused on them in the first courtroom scene.
@@DirkDigglerbig1 interesting! We will have to look into that.
Beautiful job! Thank you for sharing. How many hours did you have in that recraft?
When doing a video, it takes several hours longer than just doing a job
Great work. Quick question, just in case you occasionally check the comments on older videos: What's the purpose of lighting fire on the dye? Is it so the alcohol dries faster, or does it affect the penetration/adhesion of the dye?
@@chuckbowie5833 it causes it to dry faster.
I have a vintage pair of anderson bean elephant that need resoled bad. How much and where do i send them? Thanks
