This was super concise and very well edited. It really helped me identify exactly where my account sits in terms of progression. It also made it incredibly easy to figure out what I'm doing next because you made it so clear how important things are and exactly why they're important. I hope this gets bigger to help other newer or returning players gain some insight.

I've tried the fight caves 15+ times and I've been getting to Jad consistently but I can not seem to get him, I know I'll eventually do it, but damn it's rough.
You can do it! Its 100% mental, if you want to practice just jad you can go on the beta worlds > run over to the inferno area and try TzHaar-Ket-Rak's first challenge, its just a beefier jad, good practice for sure!
Yo dude, hope you got that cape, If it helps try getting jad on one of the rock spawns, Tag the healers run to the other side pray mellee kill them, pot up back to full, and voila. Good luck
Well wish I had known some of this a while back.... I've been using all my slayer points on broad bolts Hit 99 combat lvl without considering getting a defender It's been over a year since I did RFD and only now got barrows gloves ....well now I know Thanks
You mispronounced Ardougne. It is pronounced "Ar-doyn". Not "Ar-dune". Given that this is a noob-friendly guide, make sure to let the noobs know how to pronounce the city properly :)

I also like to go for the 10k from the Stronghold of Security. Protects your account AND a nice and early little gp boost!
for real, always a good idea to start out with the stronghold!

You could consider looking at the safe spot Rendi uses for combat lvl4 fire cape, that's what I did for my first mobile fire cape
