How I earned a bond in f2p within 24 hours (2022)
In this video I will try to earn a osrs bond from scratch only using f2p money making methods. I used several methods to showcase a variety of ways to earn gp in f2p. It took a total of 17 in game hours to buy a bond.

I took a FSW account from new to Bond in about 10 days, but the first few were between 1.2M and 1.7M, but I want to get the extra days from used three bonds at once and by the time I got them, they were closing in on 3M, and they have gone up since. I have done some cow killing for hides and raw beef, tanned the hides and sold them and the raw beef on the GE for a nice profit. The raw beef can be turned into sinew, and then spun into crossbow strings, in member worlds. Last I checked, that was still a good money maker with training low level combat of any type.
You can support half a bond with miscellania. Temporus, Wintertodt or just cleaning herbs/doing herb runs is all pretty good.
Here weeee go.
Step #1: Buy gold.
Step #2: Profit.
I use to make steel bars into cannon balls because it was super afk, and only required 30 smithing and a super easy quest.
I'm sure there are far better things to do with your time though, ie herb / farming runs, catching electric imps, slayer. (slayer wont immediately pay for the bond, more of a long term thing. same with blast furnace or runecrafting and hunter of course) you only need 75 slayer for gargoyles and you can afk them with full guthans and just let them attack you and pick up the loot. I made around 500k an hour but it was afk

If you do the "maintaining a bond" video, it would be interesting if you have the restriction that you can only do methods that progress your account (no flipping, looting other player's drops, making unf pots etc). There are plenty of ways to make money that give no exp/other rewards so I feel this would be more useful for a newer player and more of a challenge for you

Not if you're new and have no clue what to do. It took me two bonds to figure it out, but in my defense, a friend gave me a bond my first day, so I was learning how to play completely.
The bonds now cost almost 50% more now than when this video was posted. 😭
I dont know if anyone said it but pies are used in speed runs. you can cook pies while you run around the game and do quests and other skills. Its a must have in osrs speed runs.
A videos showing how to maintain a bond would be really helpful
Eclectics are always what I recommend. Super low requirement for like 2-2.5m/hr

I remember when I bought my first Bond the first time, i could not make enough money to rebuy it because I was focused into progressing my account.
It would be cool if you could balance in a way where you could progress while making money and whithout RNG involved.
Yellow Dyes are sometimes needed for Ghosts Ahoy but since you don't know what three colors you need, most people just bring 3 red, 3 yellow, and 3 blue with them so they can mix them on the spot once they know what they need. So most of the time you were probably selling those dyes to members preparing for that quest.
Now this is the info I'm looking for, I wanna know why people need these items and I will grind till the cows come home
now that you have your bond, can you go to mems and show us how you would get your next bond so that you can actually have a decent amount of time to progress your account?

Really appreciate the variety of methods shown off! Watched a different video with a similar concept and all he did was flip stuff on the GE plus hitting a crazy lucky streak of selling air staves for 5k each on the GE for millions of GP.
I love watching videos on how to get a bond on f2p. They're my favorite. Everyone comes up with some of their own ideas. It's so awesome. 😎
The apples pies are probably for bake pie on lunars, good exp since you can't burn

Definitely would love to see a follow up video where you find ways to maintain your bond. I'm on my 3rd day of my very first bond, with a 2nd sitting in my bank as a backup, and I still haven't figured out the best way to maintain one with little to no risk as a member.
I am working on the video right now and it will be released in a few days! I am only using methods that get you any form of xp on the account as I think that's better for new players as well :)
rev caves, slayer, ge buying and selling,
skill based - farming weed and birdhouses - you can do a run every 2 hours iirc and 4-5 runs a day for two weeks will be more than enough
While the Cow Hides are restricted, Leather and Hard Leather are NOT. And as to Bond prices, I bought several for 6.2M and flipped them for 7.3-7.4M in the week before the Christmas Event came out.
While watching this, I felt like a maintaining bond video would be nice. I'd absolutely take you up on that!

if you do progress the account, it would be cool to see a sister account that does mostly the same things but doesnt have to use its gp for bonds, to see how quickly that sister account will pull away from the self-sufficient one. just an idea :)

There are at least 6 yellow dyes required for all quests per account, so I imagine these will always be in demand. Especially since several of them are low level quests that bots do, which rapidly consumes them as they get banned.
8 minutes in and I am amazed at the progress so far. You are a beast, a legend of this game of Runescape. No wonder they had to eliminate you from the GG, you'd win again
The Rouge trader in the wildy is also good for selling anything. You can pretty much buy anything which isn't worth alching but still has a relatively high alch value sell it there.
I started recently playing on my main again, after having played on my island only ironman for a long time exclusively, and I stumbled upon a pretty good money maker for low to mid-level accounts.
Making Arceuus teleport tabs can make you up to 1 mil per hour you just need x marks the spot completed, 60% Arceuus favor for access to the Arceuus spellbook, level 6 magic, 38 crafting, 38 mining, a pickaxe, a chisel, and preferably 69 agility and a Kharedst's Memoirs with the dark disposition teleport. You have to mine the dense essence yourself north of Arceuus then use them on the dark altar to turn them into dark essence. You then teleport to Arceuus with the kharedst's Memoir and study with the lectern to the building north of your character and choose which tab you want to make. The Fenkenstrain Castle teleport (lvl 48 magic) seems to be the most profitable but Arceuus library (lvl 6 magic), Draynor manor (lvl 17 magic), Barrows (lvl 83 magic), and Ape Atoll dungeon (lvl 90 magic) are also worth making. Then you use either the Arceuus home teley or the Arceuus library teley to get back to the dense essence mine. It's recommended to have a Graceful set, Stamina pots, and a Rune pouch.
It's pretty time consuming and kinda boring but it is consistent gp per hour. I probably earned between 800k-900k per hour making the Fenkenstrain tabs. The Xp per hour though is less than 15k between 4 skills. The Xp is better if you do Barrows or Ape Atoll tabs.
Just bank stand in ge and train cooking or fire making, go to drop partys and talk to ppl and you are at Bond in under 24hours

I remember I would grind loads feeling lonely and frustrated and my casual irl friend would hang out ge and get full rune g etc... Back when it was mills and he couldn't even wear the breastplate
I hope you continue this series but not only maintain a bond but, something like "going for a twisted bow while maintaining a bond".

You got a like as soon as you said no flipping. Flipping is 50% gambling and just is not a guarantee. Really appreciate it. I'd say my only very minor unimportant criticism would be maybe say "24 hours of gameplay" or "24 hours in-game time" or something similar, as hopping worlds repeatedly takes a significant amount of real world time. I'd be curious to know real time vs in-game recorded time.
Yeah fair, the good thing is even if I included all of that hopping time it would be under 24 hours. Only way to truly do it is to do it all without sleeping but that's not for me haha

I've never been to member's and since you're a veteran I'd love to see the follow up.
Tip: if you want better odds of selling your apple pies, add a pinch of cinnamon to them. People will not be able to resist

Thank god man I was so relieved to hear you say "I wont be flipping in this video" and showing actual methods. I was honestly expecting you to say "the best way to get a bond is merching/flipping" like what other people say in the tens of thousands of other videos out there that are like 15 minutes long. Getting really tired of seeing those over the past almost 10 yrs Ive watched RS content.
How long did you wait for yellow potions to sell? 445gp seems like a lot. They sell for 186gp as you stated in the beginning. I'd imagine you waited a few hours?

To answer your question. People use the bake pie spell on lunar to train cooking and magic.

You should've put in a bid in the GE for a bond at 6M, even if theyre like 6.6M, there's a good chance you can get one for 6.
How are you using the grand exchange on such a new account? I thought you needed 10qp, 20 hours played, and 100 levels?
yes, follow up with members! starting with 0gp maybe? so you can find some cool members methods
i think easiest way to maintain. would be blast furnace. that thing makes so much money and you dont really need any questing.
all u have to do is buy a teleport to ranging guild i think. and from there walk to the quest. start it. and just head straight into it.
i would recomend grabbing ice gloves beforehand. and maybe do some little quests for smithing exp like.
sleeping giants. really easy. knight sword a bit of walking still easy. and u get like 10k/20k exp thats enough for steel bars. which is nearly good for cballs.
other than smithing maybe the best money maker i could find was doing the zogre quest. and cutting achey logs made me a ton of cash without any walking.
u can buy logs for like under 10 gold. cut them and sell em for 63 each.

If you are going to make a follow up, you should get your account to around level 40 in skills such as fishing, combat, maybe a little smithing, which simulate a f2p account with some progress on easy to train skills.
That way you will have more options other than buying from shops and processing resources. Skilling and combat methods have added benifit of progressing account, so they have great value for low level players and first time members.
I will only use methods that get me any form of xp in the follow up, so I can't like make unfinished pots for example
My favourite method back in the day was crafting jewellery.
Gold bars are dirt cheap, gold amulets for string jewellery, sapphire rings for recoils and necklaces for games necklaces and ruby necklaces for digsite pendants.
All sold reliably for decent semi afk profit
I actually used to do this, mostly sapphire necks and make it into game necklaces

Alright, I have to ask. Why is it that EVERY video that I've seen of people playing OSRS has them using the dinky, low-res, tiny-ass window that you can barely see on a 1920x1080 monitor? Is there some add-on that I'm missing to do this in full-screen or something?
playing on fixed is just personal preference. It also looks better on youtube compared to max full screen. You can barely see anything on the screen if I play full screen on my ultrawide monitor and record that. And I guess another reason for me is that I usually play 3-4 accounts at the same time, its a lot easier to put them next to each other in fixed

Id love to see a members maintain a bond but with only restriction being money makers must provide xp or account progression in some way. Nothing worse then making money using tactics that provide no xp.
Becoming a mem, showing how to retain the bond would be a video folks need, due to low levels etc.

The most true (and boring) nonstop to bond method is high alching efficiently. Basically you work as a garbage picker of the GE looking for highest profits, when you get good at it you're out in no time.
Stuff like Verf is doing is more interesting and fun and potentially less playtime, but I think I could beat it with nonstop alching. (lots of no lifeing in F2P for me).
This would be in an actual 24 period, nonstop, not weeks of waiting on buy limits etc.

Bow method no longer works. The store reduces the price of the bow below GE price if you keep selling the same item.
I use canoes to get to the ge. Goes between lumby, champ guild, barb village, and edgeville.

The reason Port Sarim jewelry didn't work well is H.A.M. Chests. Anyone training thieving down there will hop through f2p worlds too when dumping their loot.

You might have had the only uncooked apple pies available, because they normally wouldn't sell that high, and someone was probably training magic with Bake Pie because there's plenty of better ways to train cooking.
Now use the 14 days of membership to make enough gp for 2 bonds for 29 days. Then use those 29 days to make 3 bonds for the 45 day package. Then use those 45 days to make enough for the Premier Membership 20 bond package for 12 months of membership. Thats 1 video on this account for each bond package. Then log back in the account in a year and you're back in f2p because you ran out of membership and we restart the cycle.
