A fellow player suggested a setup for Mitama-hunting on Hard, making the need of Safety difficulty gone. I tested it and it works like a charm. What you need to do: - get Abaddon, Matador or both (their innate skill, Crippling Blow, is the crux of the build: it can instakill every enemy who gets crit'd, except bosses of course, but it includes Mitama.) - give them Yabusame Shot (Weak power but high chance to crit + Pierce.) Also very useful for clearing other enemies. - give them Safeguard too, because Mitama have high Agility too and can evade attacks easily. - up their Physical potential and Luck as much as you can for more critical chance. - using both, you get 4 shots per turn, which is more than enough if you have 600+ Luck on both, unless you're really unlucky. The rest is the same: use "Omagatoki: Luck" when needed, then pray for consecutive encounters while not losing the effect to an enemy turn. With this method, I got 30 million macca in 10 minutes by going to Asakusa in Da'at: Taito.
Correct me if i'am wrong but, I think for luck you got it wrong because from what i tested, luck only affects ailments chance and recovery meanwhile to increase critical chance you will need agility.

@@kaiserkreuz2110 i know it does in base SMTV, but i think they kinda change the formula. I remember i tested about 300 luck on odin and weirdly my gungnir only goes for crit around 2 times from 10 attacks, but once i bump agility it literally went up from 2 to 7. I think Luck will also need high agility to consistly crit but, maybe i'am wrong. I'am gonna test it tomorrow tho for my godborn playthrough
You can also use Loa in the party alongside Matador and/or Abaddon for double instakill chances from his Taboo innate skill. Oddly enough, the innate skill Trickery doesn’t affect the instakill chance from Crippling Blow.
Upon reaching 2nd play through you can pretty much start doing this, i happen to do the challenge mode boss fight but stuck on lvl500 boss (im dealing less than 200 per hit using aramasa, hassoutobi & queen's decree), im currently thinking of buying the mitamas now
Theres a new passive skill that turns off auto when a demon/mc reach dangerous hp amount if losing accidentally becomes the problem,, Tho i highly doubt youd lose in safety (unless youre planning to also auto challenge mode, secret boss & final boss.. which is a bad idea 😆) Havent unlock godborne yet, currently on CoC and those 3 are the ones i cant auto..
never even went close to losing on Safety. I really just use it for grinding if nothing else. I don't use Auto-skills however because Press Turns and MP are precious when hunting Mitama.

Trying to farm macca here too, but the first method doesn't work for me, not sure if only for the Switch version. However, the mitama one does work.. I wonder if it's only a minor error.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I have Fionn in my party and then did the Army of Chaos consecutive battles in Godborn safety mode, after beating them all I only got like +400,000 macca. However, I tried the 2nd method it worked for me better; attract pipes + a field full of only yellow mitamas + Luck Skill at the beginning + Godborn safety mode. These are the amount of macca I got: 1 Battle (4 Yellow Mitamas): +600,000 macca 2 Battles Chain (2x 4 Yellow Mitamas): +1,200,000 macca 3 Battles Chain (3x 4 Yellow Mitamas BTW Quite rare to encounter): +1,800,000 macca 4 Battles Chain (4 Yellow Mitamas + Random enemies): +2,000,000 macca if most of them were yellow mitamas To speed up things, I went to options and speed up the animations and mute the music, cuz I'd find it annoying listening the same music while farming. But I did listen "Live to Win" based on that South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" for the laughs. And I use Yabusame Shot to make it faster. Anyway, I already got my Nahobino 999 in all stats since last week, same with my favorite demons Alice, Nuwa (normal form), Scathach, and Dagda. I can easily beat any boss in Godborn Hard mode solo now. So yeah, thanks for the tips, hopefully other people watch your videos!

Holy shit I completely forgot about Omagatoki: Luck and also the fact that you can simply just have the Macca Mitama active and the others off. I seriously grinded like 10 hours with all Mitama on and kept thinking "man, it would be great if only the Macca ones spawned".
Behind Zeus' boss fight place in Taito, you can find a Magatsu Rail that sends you to a place with a lot of Fenrirs (9 or so I believe) in a quite small space. Now, if you use the Mitama DLC, most of these Fenrirs would most likely be replaced with Mitama of your choosing (at least two of them should be a Mitama). After you finished with all the demons, just save and load again to respawn all the demons. Rinse and repeat. I haven't tried them with Godborn mode, so I have no idea what's the payout on that one.
Considering in the first area a chain of two groups of four Mitama when combined with the Luck Magatsuhi skill gets you 4 million macca, the answer is "a lot". In the first area. On Godborn, mind.
Yeah it's a nice spot too, and you can just go back and forth to reset the spots to get more Mitama groups. I just chose that other zone because I got more consistent encounters, although I didn't really play around with Taito as a whole.

I also use the Luck Magatsuhi skill myself. In the first area alone, something as simple as a chain of two sets of four Mitama net you 4 million macca. I personally have a Cu Chulainn who pops Luck and then debilitates to lower the Mitamas' stats before using stuff like Megido Flame and Heliopolis Dawn to do massive amounts of damage to the Mitama to kill them.
The first area works too, but the drops are less significant. They're also part of the plan to help you get money faster. Any strat to one-turn them is viable, I'm just using the easy way out, since the game gives you these tools anyway.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I'm aware, I'm just pointing out how effective it is to chain Mitama together. For Taito I'd personally grind in Asakusa. Big wide open area with a lot of groups. I'd try to find groups of two/three Mitama before diving into the frey with an attract pipe and perhaps striking the one non-mitama present (in order to see if a chain with a group of them even happens before popping luck on the Mitama itself). Once the spawns all get cleared out I'd warp somewhere else to make them respawn and repeat the process.
@@DMSwordsmaster Yeah of course, that's the point of the trick. I tried Asakusa, but I never got any luck with the consecutive encounters, even with 5 mobs clumped together. Starting with non-Mitama enemies is the best strat, should there be some, just to build the Magatsuhi gauge if you need it. For respawn, you have two options: either wait for a new moon, or save and reload.
I like to use matador and Abaddon crippling blow innate skill with yabusame shot. 40% chance to instant kill if you strike weakness or crit. Mitamas don’t stand a chance lol
@@antonioallen9504 Okay, that's a good shot. I like this a lot, for people who don't wanna be on Safety. It's still luck-based, but much less than anything else. Kudos for thinking of that, I completely forgot about it, since this isn't a good strat on bosses, I haven't thought about it.
The ending boss rushes give more, but count 5 minutes to finish them. Especially Battles of the Two Goddesses: one boss has like 500k HP and another one is just super long with three phases.
So, if you don't have the DLC I actually found a really effective method for farming Macca and other items. The no DLC method in the vid works for faster for pure Macca gain if you have a strong Auto-Skill team, but this method is great for all Mitama bonuses (glory, macca, and grimoires) Ippon-Datara as a navigator (in front of the Tokyo Diet Building) has an extremely high likelihood of getting into battles, so use him (I think he has the highest rate out of any navigator). Mitamas also appear pretty frequently. In addition to that, he has a higher chance to spawn Magatsuhi demons during navigator encounters, which drop incenses. The attract pipe lets you get into multiple wave battles, so if you encounter a mitama during any wave, they're very likely to spawn in the next wave. Omagataki Luck is still very useful and necessary, like how you demonstrated in the Mitama DLC portion.
@@Fediel very nice! Navigators are still kind of a mystery, but I hear some are more reliable than others for Mitama farming, which is great if it works well with Ippon-Datara. I'm kinda sad the non-DLC spawn rates are so low though, because the Army of Chaos gauntlet gets old really fast.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I'm really glad I found someone online talking about Datara because manually checking what each navigator does would be a pain lol. When you inspect a navigator spot Datara has dialogue that says something along the lines of "a battle's calling out to me" so I'm almost certain that's his intended use. Something cool that can happen very rarely thanks to him is a Mitama spawning as a Magatsuhi demon, though I've only encountered it once.

There are tricks on Hard, I'm sure. I'm just offering an easier solution. You can try it on Safety in your enxt playthrough. I did my first Godborn playthrough on Hard, starting with regular level 99 stats, and it was painful but fun. I'd say only do this if you wanna flex on level 999 fights or something.

@@Heartache1470 Yeah, even at 999 stats you can still find them challenging, so I guess you can start when doing your next Godborn playthrough. I love that this game gives a huge number of challening fights despite having stats minmaxed, because usually RPGs go to one extreme or the other (either you get max stats and you one-shot everything, including superbosses, or they cut you off from upgrading and level-scale everything so every mob takes 15 minutes to kill, like in FFXVI...)

Tried this and even though I found it a bit challenging to chain mitamas well, I got at most 500k from a battle with omagotoki luck, assuming the rewards scale up in god born since I'm on my first playthrough still
I'm kinda just farming on Godborn hard difficulty in Minato: Hamamatsucho since there are some dense groups of mobs about and, the Sakis there dont even drop that much less than say Taito ones. A grp of 4 Saki Mitama with omagatoki luck will already yield 600k macca there, and if it gets at least 1 chain going, the reward is already bumped to 2 million. Am just using comfortable 999 str Fionn with the Luck Omagatoki and then Gogmagog with 999 str too: the Gogmagog profiting from a simple slime being in a team and its yabusame shot easily doing 1600-2000 damage per foe. Aaand they never run out of mana because high restore and mana aid as well.
Nice. Yeah, I only advise Taito for relics (they give 50% more Macca than Minato's iirc, if not more.) The spot with the Fenrir, above where Zeus is in the CoC, is a very nice place and can net you quick millions of macca. If you play on CoV, the start of Shinjuku is also very nice, with the Narcissus groups.

@@LordCha yeah, the game is very easy with solo Nahobino (except Satan and level 999 boss challenges on Hard.) Exactly: it's not a cheat if the game gives you the option for it. Plus, you can just go back to a new playthrough and choose Newborn to get back to level 3 with basic stats.
Ok, but to unlock godborn I need to beat SATAN and I am on hard mode...so...my best choice is just to new game plus then or just cheat, safety, beat him and do this?
honestly, Satan on Hard mode is rightfully hard. If you have Demi-fiend, he can be a good extra damager. The strat for Satan is that you need to turn the other demons really weak (like less than 1000 HP left) and make sure he never eats Hariti and Lakshmi. Then work with his weaknesses. Use gems and shards if you need to. If there's a fight where you can use all your items, it's this one.
I’ll like to point out something for people who have beaten Demi fiend chaotic will seems to insta kill every time without fail on mitamas when Nahobino has over 300+ luck I initially intended to try the Abaddon matador combo however any sort of insta kill like that or chaotic will works on them and Asakusa in Taito is 100% the best area if your efficient you can get max macca in 30 mins

I want to start a NG+ on Godborn, and I wanted to know, as Demi-Fiend is a Guest character, if I start a NG+, would he still be in my party at the start of the NG+, or would I have to redo the menora quests to unlock him once again ?
All good. However, you need to redo the Menorah questline to get the Demi-Fiend again. Also, your other guest characters will have their levels reset (but you can up Demi-Fiend to 150 alright, and he'll keep the levels up.)
How did you managed to get demi-fiend to level 150 ? I know that allies level up fast in godborn mode but you can't uses grimoires on him and you get him very late.
The gauge only needs 3 turns to be refilled with all miracles related to it. If you mean during the consecutive encounters themselves, the effect does not disappear as long as you finish all the enemies off during the same turn.
Wait im a newish player ( half way through the story ) you can later on use attacks that ignore resistances? ( ik the blue elephant has a physical attack that does that but i havent tried it in miitamas yet )
Yes, you can. It's called the Pierce effect. Some attacks do have it, and it's always noted in the description as "Ignores affinities and Pierces through 1/all foe(s)." They work on every enemy. Alternatively, skills like Impaler's Animus/Glory/Revenge can grant that same effect with boosted damage.
Not related to godborn or your specific builds. On hard at level 74, I'm at the temple of eternity and have noticed some of my demons are hitting skills like hell thrust and brave blade for 200 something damage or less. Is this because they only have 60-70 strength? Like at the point I'm at in the game are stats mattering more for damage? Probably but I've been gathering more information from outside sources and just wanna make sure there aren't any things I'm missing. One of those demons even has phys pleroma and 65 strength but brave blade still feels meh (melchizedek), I do have demons with up to 80 strength and beyond but wish to be able to use these other demons for direct damage on top of the buffs and debuffs.
Yeah, unlike SMT3 where Defense was fixed for every demon (and not affected by level and Vitality), if an attack did 10 base damage timed by the level, it would always do around 10 * level, and not get dampened by enemy Vitality, here in Vengeance, you need to have more Strength for more damage. 200 damage seems reasonable for 60 Strength though. If you wanna maximize damage, have both Phys Plemora and High Phys Plemora. Hope I answered your question.
In the Canon of Vengeance, you need to talk to the researcher who gives you the quests in the Diet Building, then when you get the three keys to the Empyrean, you can talk to her again and get the essence for it.

Thanks! Someone in the comments pointed it out that you could use Matador or Abaddon (for Crippling Blow) with Yabusame Shot and Impaler's Animus for effortless kills, which is apparently consistent. I need to try it since I might need to grind mor emon ey for new demons. (For the Mitama part, at least. The Level 999 challenges I don't recommend on Hard.)
So ironically I was farming this method until SPOILER Cov Ending B (chaos) then after that I went into godborn virtual trainer against that endings bosses and holy hee ho I gained around 2.5 mil at the end of it for around a minute work I’m not sure if it drops that much normally but I’d give it a try or if it was my luck
The Vengeance Chaos ending, or the Two Goddesses battle? Both drop significantly different amounts, but you make me think I should just test every fight, actually. I'll come up with results once I get them all done. Thanks for pointing that out!

Considering you're on your third playthrough, that you get around 60 stats from Aogami per playthrough, and you get an average of 200 points per stats at level 150, making a total of about 1200 points out of the 5000 required, that would make around 380 million Macca.
Am I able to get Omagatoki: Luck on my first playthrough? If so, any tips how? I'm working through Canon of Vengeance, right before Satan's fight. Was curious to see if I could farm prior to wrapping up my first run. Thanks for the video! This is going to be super helpful

Is the Omagatoki Luck from the element race any different from the Genma one ? Since both of them can use it and Element is only 5 miman and Genma is 100 iirc?
10 Miman for Element. But no, there's no difference at all. I was going to use an Element at first, then remembered I had Kresnik and that Genma used it too. You can use Cu Chulainn or Amanozako too to bring the same results.

I’m new to SMT so forgive me if this is a stupid question but how are you in godborn difficulty but have safety difficulty on? I thought the harder difficulties you can’t change back to if you change to an easier difficulty
Nah, you're good. Godborn isn't a difficulty setting but an NG+ setting (it's NG+ on Reborn but every enemy is level 150) thus independant on Safety, Casual, Normal and Hard difficulties.

I forgot that this game has other difficulties than hard. And you need to add safety separetly. After getting Godborn achievement on hard I need to start grinding for the Challenge Achievement.
Honestly the game's pretty manageable on Hard, the issue being Safety adds nothing to the table aside from turning grinding into a bit less of a tedium. Thankfully the methods I've shown have been proven to work on Hard as well, which means no need to change difficulty (at least for Mitama hunting.) Good luck for the Challenges though, they're really tough if you go at least past level 400.
Thanks. I will 100% this game. I think I will change for safety anyway since now I am using Amon and I have issue one-shoting Mitamas. If I am correct they should die on safety and I don't wanna bother with Yabusame Shot build.
@@Nightmare-le4ks Honestly, the Yabusame Shot build is very easy to do. However, yeah, I recommend just going Pierce move on Safety, at least you're sure it's gonna work 100%.
Btw, between the 6 main stats of MC.. Which of these 6 should be my priority hitting 999 first btw? Or its better to focus on equallizing all 6 stats at the same time? ( Hitting 200 everything first then 300, 400 and so on?..) Thank you for the guide btw 😁 It helped alot,
You're welcome! I went for Strength at first (Murakumo, Lunar Hurricane, Paraselene Blur and Aramasa are all Strength-based skills) but you can go for Magic if you use elemental skills. Second is depending on your main damaging move: if you use LH or PB, it's Agility that you want up. If not, go for Vitality. Third is the other of the two. Fourth is Luck (unless you're grinding every stat at once, then go for it second for more Mitama drops.) Last is the other offense stat, since you won't be using it. Alternatively, you can also go in increments in 4: 2 for offense stat, 1 for Vitality, 1 for Agility
I have noticed something about the luck stat when I had used a tablet to reset my Nahobino stats and put alot into luck I noticed that I started getting critical hits way more constantly, than before. There was a time when I was testing on some enemies I constantly crit them on a lot of multiple different battles and on different targets it crit every time out of all this battles. I am guessing luck gets a further boost from skills like murderous glee and I think the enemy stats do come into play for example because the enemy I was testing on where the ones in Da’at Minato I am guessing if you have way more luck than them, you get more crits on them? I will test on high level mobs to see this.
@@GoProGamer447 Yup, Luck improves Ailment and Critical hit rates. You crit less often on enemies with big Luck too, but now, on regular level 150 enemies, I crit 100% of the time even without the glees. I'd need to know the formula to this. Same with Agility and how it allows you to strike and evade.

For Demi-fiend, you can also cheese him if you get a stock filled with demons with Repel/Drain Phys. I didn't use that strat, but I got really lucky. His companions are really annoying to deal with on Hard, but there are many videos of him being cleared in different ways. His build can be found if you type the keywords on TH-cam. - Demeter Heal + Buff build. Same here, taken off someone's OG SMTV builds. - Mother Harlot or a demon with at least 2 innate repel/drain elements (she's the only one available with Red Rider and Shiva, when not in NG+) - 5 other repels (in MH's case, you get Fire from Michael, if you went the Law route, which I didn't, so I had to settle with Null Fire. Ice and Force from the archangels' essences, doing the "The Holy Ring" quest. Repel Dark from Vishnu's Essence, which is either collectible or obtainable after leveling him up enough. And Repel Light from Metatron.) - For the remaining slots, you use Fierce Roar for aggro so he doesn't try to slap your Nahobino instead, and Donum Gladi/Magici depending on your build, for double Str/Mag damage. Enduring Soul is not necessary. I should replace it with Great Life Spring so she can tank more than just one Freikugel lol
Not that I know. There are spots that give them, but they're too few and far between. An easy way to get a few Health Incenses is from having Demeter in your party and talking to a Kaya-no-Hime in a battle. However, it only works once per playthrough.
@@lio5073 there are some that have been Discovered near Bethel Egypt (the bridge where you find Seth) but you gotta make sure to get what you want because it takes several moon cycles to get again.
Whilst not as good it can be done on normal difficulty runs of the VR fight itself. The fight is the Empyrean gauntlet leading up to Alilat if you consistently kill ONLY the Flauros and Ose Alilat will spawn she will be put into a loop of summoning them and the enemy phase ending enabling a psuedo infinite farm of experience and macca now it's not going to yield as much unless you're doing 999 challenge Empyrean but Alilat has 2 icons and will set up a concentrate into Megidoloan combo so that one can only be done after you hardcore bulk up. Of course you end the turn you want to stop farming the infinite spawns with an Omagatoki: Luck and rake in the experience more than the macca cause it's a normal non-challenge mode farm but the challenge mode farm should be good for big bursts of profit rather than the Mitama's which are infinitely faster once you get to Ueno but that's A. Not saying much since you'd have to be in Godborn and B. To be expected since that's the last area Mitamas spawn since they don't show up in the Pillars Of Eternity floors sadly. This video randomly made me go "Wait would Alilat keep spawning them if you kill them fast enough?" at 3am and it proved to be a Yes.
i just unlocked the godborne miracle and i got to the point where the enemies are level 900 but it genuinely takes 10 minutes for a single run now. my nahobino is level 126 and 330 magic, safety difficulty and i'm using megidolaon as my main attack and i'm doing 2k per turn. what's the build on the nahobino and mastema? because it's genuinely impossibly long at this point
@@darky1677 there's a massive difference between 330 and 999 Magic at this point. You need to max your stays out. Also, you need single-target attacks, which I recommend to look at my build showcase video for the Mastema and Nahobino builds.
@@darky1677 yeah, play at your own rhythm. IF you got the Mitama DLC, use it for minmaxing and go to town with grinding the challenges up to level 999 (and if you want stats back to level 1, make a new cycle on Newborn.)

After you beat Satan in the Canon of Vengeance, you unlock a last miracle you pay for 999 glory, it allows you and your demons to go past level 99 up to level 150. Godborn mode then has every enemy to level 150 from the start of the game.
Godborne which meant defeating Satan on CoV, save before the final boss, beat the boss and make a new file because clear files cannot be loaded, then go to shinjuku where you Samael Quest for Mastema and there you will face the new Super Boss, defeat him and you get godborn. Now I you are like me and u were playing on normal or hard mode...yikes the fight is brutal, like 2nd or strongest super boss (haven't fought the super boss in Coc, yeah we got another one) Good thing the boss theme slaps.

Let me get this straight: you need to beat the game after you beat Satan, and then go to New Game + for Godborn. Only then will Balms be available in Cadaver’s Hollow?
Well, some plebs like me play it on PS5, so Cheat Engine isn't an option. Also, were I to use it, I would just bump and lock up the Balm counts to 99. Faster and easier.

You can heal beyond max HP, 25% with most heals, and 75% with harvest Festival (Zeus + Demeter special.) Apparently, it was nerfed compared to base SMTV where it was something like 30% and 120% respectively.
A fellow player suggested a setup for Mitama-hunting on Hard, making the need of Safety difficulty gone. I tested it and it works like a charm.
What you need to do:
- get Abaddon, Matador or both (their innate skill, Crippling Blow, is the crux of the build: it can instakill every enemy who gets crit'd, except bosses of course, but it includes Mitama.)
- give them Yabusame Shot (Weak power but high chance to crit + Pierce.) Also very useful for clearing other enemies.
- give them Safeguard too, because Mitama have high Agility too and can evade attacks easily.
- up their Physical potential and Luck as much as you can for more critical chance.
- using both, you get 4 shots per turn, which is more than enough if you have 600+ Luck on both, unless you're really unlucky.
The rest is the same: use "Omagatoki: Luck" when needed, then pray for consecutive encounters while not losing the effect to an enemy turn.
With this method, I got 30 million macca in 10 minutes by going to Asakusa in Da'at: Taito.
Correct me if i'am wrong but, I think for luck you got it wrong because from what i tested, luck only affects ailments chance and recovery meanwhile to increase critical chance you will need agility.
@@renhardhalim Agility only affects evasion, as far as I'm aware of. Plus, you still need Luck in this case to trigger the instakill.

I remember i tested about 300 luck on odin and weirdly my gungnir only goes for crit around 2 times from 10 attacks, but once i bump agility it literally went up from 2 to 7. I think Luck will also need high agility to consistly crit but, maybe i'am wrong. I'am gonna test it tomorrow tho for my godborn playthrough

You can also use Loa in the party alongside Matador and/or Abaddon for double instakill chances from his Taboo innate skill. Oddly enough, the innate skill Trickery doesn’t affect the instakill chance from Crippling Blow.

You could probably make the Chaos way faster using auto skills and only having a team with damage skills, not sure if you can lose in safety
Theres a new passive skill that turns off auto when a demon/mc reach dangerous hp amount if losing accidentally becomes the problem,,
Tho i highly doubt youd lose in safety (unless youre planning to also auto challenge mode, secret boss & final boss.. which is a bad idea 😆)

never even went close to losing on Safety. I really just use it for grinding if nothing else. I don't use Auto-skills however because Press Turns and MP are precious when hunting Mitama.

Trying to farm macca here too, but the first method doesn't work for me, not sure if only for the Switch version. However, the mitama one does work.. I wonder if it's only a minor error.

@@kaiserkreuz2110 I have Fionn in my party and then did the Army of Chaos consecutive battles in Godborn safety mode, after beating them all I only got like +400,000 macca.
However, I tried the 2nd method it worked for me better; attract pipes + a field full of only yellow mitamas + Luck Skill at the beginning + Godborn safety mode.
These are the amount of macca I got:
1 Battle (4 Yellow Mitamas): +600,000 macca
2 Battles Chain (2x 4 Yellow Mitamas): +1,200,000 macca
3 Battles Chain (3x 4 Yellow Mitamas BTW Quite rare to encounter): +1,800,000 macca
4 Battles Chain (4 Yellow Mitamas + Random enemies): +2,000,000 macca if most of them were yellow mitamas
To speed up things, I went to options and speed up the animations and mute the music, cuz I'd find it annoying listening the same music while farming.
But I did listen "Live to Win" based on that South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" for the laughs.
And I use Yabusame Shot to make it faster.
Anyway, I already got my Nahobino 999 in all stats since last week, same with my favorite demons Alice, Nuwa (normal form), Scathach, and Dagda.
I can easily beat any boss in Godborn Hard mode solo now.
So yeah, thanks for the tips, hopefully other people watch your videos!

For the Army of Chaos, I think that's because you didn't do the level 999 challenge, but probably 100 or 150. At level 999, you're netted 1.3 million Macca.

Holy shit I completely forgot about Omagatoki: Luck and also the fact that you can simply just have the Macca Mitama active and the others off. I seriously grinded like 10 hours with all Mitama on and kept thinking "man, it would be great if only the Macca ones spawned".
Haha! I can relate to that, really. It took me some time to remember these two options existed.
Behind Zeus' boss fight place in Taito, you can find a Magatsu Rail that sends you to a place with a lot of Fenrirs (9 or so I believe) in a quite small space. Now, if you use the Mitama DLC, most of these Fenrirs would most likely be replaced with Mitama of your choosing (at least two of them should be a Mitama).
After you finished with all the demons, just save and load again to respawn all the demons. Rinse and repeat.
I haven't tried them with Godborn mode, so I have no idea what's the payout on that one.
Considering in the first area a chain of two groups of four Mitama when combined with the Luck Magatsuhi skill gets you 4 million macca, the answer is "a lot".

Yeah it's a nice spot too, and you can just go back and forth to reset the spots to get more Mitama groups. I just chose that other zone because I got more consistent encounters, although I didn't really play around with Taito as a whole.

I also use the Luck Magatsuhi skill myself. In the first area alone, something as simple as a chain of two sets of four Mitama net you 4 million macca. I personally have a Cu Chulainn who pops Luck and then debilitates to lower the Mitamas' stats before using stuff like Megido Flame and Heliopolis Dawn to do massive amounts of damage to the Mitama to kill them.
The first area works too, but the drops are less significant. They're also part of the plan to help you get money faster.
Any strat to one-turn them is viable, I'm just using the easy way out, since the game gives you these tools anyway.

For Taito I'd personally grind in Asakusa. Big wide open area with a lot of groups. I'd try to find groups of two/three Mitama before diving into the frey with an attract pipe and perhaps striking the one non-mitama present (in order to see if a chain with a group of them even happens before popping luck on the Mitama itself). Once the spawns all get cleared out I'd warp somewhere else to make them respawn and repeat the process.

I tried Asakusa, but I never got any luck with the consecutive encounters, even with 5 mobs clumped together.
Starting with non-Mitama enemies is the best strat, should there be some, just to build the Magatsuhi gauge if you need it.
For respawn, you have two options: either wait for a new moon, or save and reload.
I like to use matador and Abaddon crippling blow innate skill with yabusame shot. 40% chance to instant kill if you strike weakness or crit. Mitamas don’t stand a chance lol

The ending boss rushes give more, but count 5 minutes to finish them. Especially Battles of the Two Goddesses: one boss has like 500k HP and another one is just super long with three phases.

Relic farming is good too if you don't have the Mitama DLC.
So, if you don't have the DLC I actually found a really effective method for farming Macca and other items. The no DLC method in the vid works for faster for pure Macca gain if you have a strong Auto-Skill team, but this method is great for all Mitama bonuses (glory, macca, and grimoires)
Ippon-Datara as a navigator (in front of the Tokyo Diet Building) has an extremely high likelihood of getting into battles, so use him (I think he has the highest rate out of any navigator). Mitamas also appear pretty frequently. In addition to that, he has a higher chance to spawn Magatsuhi demons during navigator encounters, which drop incenses.
The attract pipe lets you get into multiple wave battles, so if you encounter a mitama during any wave, they're very likely to spawn in the next wave. Omagataki Luck is still very useful and necessary, like how you demonstrated in the Mitama DLC portion.
@@Fediel very nice! Navigators are still kind of a mystery, but I hear some are more reliable than others for Mitama farming, which is great if it works well with Ippon-Datara. I'm kinda sad the non-DLC spawn rates are so low though, because the Army of Chaos gauntlet gets old really fast.
@@kaiserkreuz2110 I'm really glad I found someone online talking about Datara because manually checking what each navigator does would be a pain lol. When you inspect a navigator spot Datara has dialogue that says something along the lines of "a battle's calling out to me" so I'm almost certain that's his intended use.
Something cool that can happen very rarely thanks to him is a Mitama spawning as a Magatsuhi demon, though I've only encountered it once.

There are tricks on Hard, I'm sure. I'm just offering an easier solution. You can try it on Safety in your enxt playthrough. I did my first Godborn playthrough on Hard, starting with regular level 99 stats, and it was painful but fun. I'd say only do this if you wanna flex on level 999 fights or something.

I love that this game gives a huge number of challening fights despite having stats minmaxed, because usually RPGs go to one extreme or the other (either you get max stats and you one-shot everything, including superbosses, or they cut you off from upgrading and level-scale everything so every mob takes 15 minutes to kill, like in FFXVI...)

I'm kinda just farming on Godborn hard difficulty in Minato: Hamamatsucho since there are some dense groups of mobs about and, the Sakis there dont even drop that much less than say Taito ones. A grp of 4 Saki Mitama with omagatoki luck will already yield 600k macca there, and if it gets at least 1 chain going, the reward is already bumped to 2 million. Am just using comfortable 999 str Fionn with the Luck Omagatoki and then Gogmagog with 999 str too: the Gogmagog profiting from a simple slime being in a team and its yabusame shot easily doing 1600-2000 damage per foe. Aaand they never run out of mana because high restore and mana aid as well.
Nice. Yeah, I only advise Taito for relics (they give 50% more Macca than Minato's iirc, if not more.) The spot with the Fenrir, above where Zeus is in the CoC, is a very nice place and can net you quick millions of macca. If you play on CoV, the start of Shinjuku is also very nice, with the Narcissus groups.

I tried with playing godborn mode/hard and I did it only for nahobino. It tooks my 8-10 hours but it's worth it.
nahobino's the longest character to max out due to the value of Balms, so 8-10 hours is honestly pretty good. Congrats!

honestly, Satan on Hard mode is rightfully hard. If you have Demi-fiend, he can be a good extra damager.
The strat for Satan is that you need to turn the other demons really weak (like less than 1000 HP left) and make sure he never eats Hariti and Lakshmi. Then work with his weaknesses. Use gems and shards if you need to. If there's a fight where you can use all your items, it's this one.

I’ll like to point out something for people who have beaten Demi fiend chaotic will seems to insta kill every time without fail on mitamas when Nahobino has over 300+ luck I initially intended to try the Abaddon matador combo however any sort of insta kill like that or chaotic will works on them and Asakusa in Taito is 100% the best area if your efficient you can get max macca in 30 mins

Quick question, I'm sorry, it's not related to the video. I want to start a NG+ on Godborn, and I wanted to know, as Demi-Fiend is a Guest character, if I start a NG+, would he still be in my party at the start of the NG+, or would I have to redo the menora quests to unlock him once again ?
All good. However, you need to redo the Menorah questline to get the Demi-Fiend again. Also, your other guest characters will have their levels reset (but you can up Demi-Fiend to 150 alright, and he'll keep the levels up.)
How did you managed to get demi-fiend to level 150 ? I know that allies level up fast in godborn mode but you can't uses grimoires on him and you get him very late.
Guest characters level up twice as fast as other demons, and Mitama give tons of EXP. Also, Level 400+ bosses also give tons of EXP.
Wouldnt you use up the magatsuhi skill and need to refill it again?
The gauge only needs 3 turns to be refilled with all miracles related to it.
If you mean during the consecutive encounters themselves, the effect does not disappear as long as you finish all the enemies off during the same turn.

Wait im a newish player ( half way through the story ) you can later on use attacks that ignore resistances? ( ik the blue elephant has a physical attack that does that but i havent tried it in miitamas yet )
Yes, you can. It's called the Pierce effect. Some attacks do have it, and it's always noted in the description as "Ignores affinities and Pierces through 1/all foe(s)."
They work on every enemy. Alternatively, skills like Impaler's Animus/Glory/Revenge can grant that same effect with boosted damage.

Not related to godborn or your specific builds. On hard at level 74, I'm at the temple of eternity and have noticed some of my demons are hitting skills like hell thrust and brave blade for 200 something damage or less. Is this because they only have 60-70 strength? Like at the point I'm at in the game are stats mattering more for damage? Probably but I've been gathering more information from outside sources and just wanna make sure there aren't any things I'm missing. One of those demons even has phys pleroma and 65 strength but brave blade still feels meh (melchizedek), I do have demons with up to 80 strength and beyond but wish to be able to use these other demons for direct damage on top of the buffs and debuffs.
Yeah, unlike SMT3 where Defense was fixed for every demon (and not affected by level and Vitality), if an attack did 10 base damage timed by the level, it would always do around 10 * level, and not get dampened by enemy Vitality, here in Vengeance, you need to have more Strength for more damage. 200 damage seems reasonable for 60 Strength though. If you wanna maximize damage, have both Phys Plemora and High Phys Plemora.

I don't think difficulty affects drop rates it's more so to make the battles themselves faster
It affects damage i think, not the rewards themselves.
No, it doesn't: it just loweres considerably the difficulty of the game, but doesn't influence EXP, macca and drops, like Nocturne did.

Thanks! Someone in the comments pointed it out that you could use Matador or Abaddon (for Crippling Blow) with Yabusame Shot and Impaler's Animus for effortless kills, which is apparently consistent. I need to try it since I might need to grind mor emon ey for new demons. (For the Mitama part, at least. The Level 999 challenges I don't recommend on Hard.)

It's the same thing. Incenses are just 4 times cheaper, so it's even faster to minmax a demon.
So ironically I was farming this method until SPOILER Cov Ending B (chaos) then after that I went into godborn virtual trainer against that endings bosses and holy hee ho I gained around 2.5 mil at the end of it for around a minute work I’m not sure if it drops that much normally but I’d give it a try or if it was my luck
The Vengeance Chaos ending, or the Two Goddesses battle? Both drop significantly different amounts, but you make me think I should just test every fight, actually.

How much macca did you need to max out the stats?
Considering you're on your third playthrough, that you get around 60 stats from Aogami per playthrough, and you get an average of 200 points per stats at level 150, making a total of about 1200 points out of the 5000 required, that would make around 380 million Macca.
Am I able to get Omagatoki: Luck on my first playthrough? If so, any tips how? I'm working through Canon of Vengeance, right before Satan's fight. Was curious to see if I could farm prior to wrapping up my first run. Thanks for the video! This is going to be super helpful

Is the Omagatoki Luck from the element race any different from the Genma one ? Since both of them can use it and Element is only 5 miman and Genma is 100 iirc?
10 Miman for Element. But no, there's no difference at all. I was going to use an Element at first, then remembered I had Kresnik and that Genma used it too. You can use Cu Chulainn or Amanozako too to bring the same results.

Yes, Luck matters a lot. If you have Loa with your 999 Luck Crippling Blow demon, you're guaranteed to kill Mitama.
I’m new to SMT so forgive me if this is a stupid question but how are you in godborn difficulty but have safety difficulty on? I thought the harder difficulties you can’t change back to if you change to an easier difficulty
Nah, you're good. Godborn isn't a difficulty setting but an NG+ setting (it's NG+ on Reborn but every enemy is level 150) thus independant on Safety, Casual, Normal and Hard difficulties.

I forgot that this game has other difficulties than hard. And you need to add safety separetly. After getting Godborn achievement on hard I need to start grinding for the Challenge Achievement.
Honestly the game's pretty manageable on Hard, the issue being Safety adds nothing to the table aside from turning grinding into a bit less of a tedium. Thankfully the methods I've shown have been proven to work on Hard as well, which means no need to change difficulty (at least for Mitama hunting.)
Good luck for the Challenges though, they're really tough if you go at least past level 400.

@@Nightmare-le4ks Honestly, the Yabusame Shot build is very easy to do. However, yeah, I recommend just going Pierce move on Safety, at least you're sure it's gonna work 100%.

I went for Strength at first (Murakumo, Lunar Hurricane, Paraselene Blur and Aramasa are all Strength-based skills) but you can go for Magic if you use elemental skills.
Second is depending on your main damaging move: if you use LH or PB, it's Agility that you want up. If not, go for Vitality.
Third is the other of the two.
Fourth is Luck (unless you're grinding every stat at once, then go for it second for more Mitama drops.)
Last is the other offense stat, since you won't be using it.
Alternatively, you can also go in increments in 4: 2 for offense stat, 1 for Vitality, 1 for Agility
I have noticed something about the luck stat when I had used a tablet to reset my Nahobino stats and put alot into luck I noticed that I started getting critical hits way more constantly, than before. There was a time when I was testing on some enemies I constantly crit them on a lot of multiple different battles and on different targets it crit every time out of all this battles. I am guessing luck gets a further boost from skills like murderous glee and I think the enemy stats do come into play for example because the enemy I was testing on where the ones in Da’at Minato I am guessing if you have way more luck than them, you get more crits on them? I will test on high level mobs to see this.
@@GoProGamer447 Yup, Luck improves Ailment and Critical hit rates. You crit less often on enemies with big Luck too, but now, on regular level 150 enemies, I crit 100% of the time even without the glees.

I made a video for Masakado without NG+ and DLC stuff. Can't link it or this comment will go shadowbanned, so...
For Demi-fiend, you can also cheese him if you get a stock filled with demons with Repel/Drain Phys. I didn't use that strat, but I got really lucky. His companions are really annoying to deal with on Hard, but there are many videos of him being cleared in different ways.
The strat for Satan is that you need to turn the other demons really weak (like less than 1000 HP left) and make sure he never eats Hariti and Lakshmi. Then work with his weaknesses. Use gems and shards if you need to. If there's a fight where you can use all your items, it's this one.

For Masakado, I used:
- Nahobino Strength Crit build (sicne I didn't play CoV at tha ttime, I went with Murakumo and Almighty, but you can go Physical for this battle instead.)
- Yoshitsune (put first for extra press turn thanks to his signature move.) His build can be found if you type the keywords on TH-cam.
- Demeter Heal + Buff build. Same here, taken off someone's OG SMTV builds.
- Mother Harlot or a demon with at least 2 innate repel/drain elements (she's the only one available with Red Rider and Shiva, when not in NG+)
- 5 other repels (in MH's case, you get Fire from Michael, if you went the Law route, which I didn't, so I had to settle with Null Fire. Ice and Force from the archangels' essences, doing the "The Holy Ring" quest. Repel Dark from Vishnu's Essence, which is either collectible or obtainable after leveling him up enough. And Repel Light from Metatron.)
- For the remaining slots, you use Fierce Roar for aggro so he doesn't try to slap your Nahobino instead, and Donum Gladi/Magici depending on your build, for double Str/Mag damage. Enduring Soul is not necessary. I should replace it with Great Life Spring so she can tank more than just one Freikugel lol

Is there no reliable method to farm health/ stamina balms and incenses?
Not that I know. There are spots that give them, but they're too few and far between. An easy way to get a few Health Incenses is from having Demeter in your party and talking to a Kaya-no-Hime in a battle. However, it only works once per playthrough.

@@lio5073 there are some that have been Discovered near Bethel Egypt (the bridge where you find Seth) but you gotta make sure to get what you want because it takes several moon cycles to get again.

Whilst not as good it can be done on normal difficulty runs of the VR fight itself. The fight is the Empyrean gauntlet leading up to Alilat if you consistently kill ONLY the Flauros and Ose Alilat will spawn she will be put into a loop of summoning them and the enemy phase ending enabling a psuedo infinite farm of experience and macca now it's not going to yield as much unless you're doing 999 challenge Empyrean but Alilat has 2 icons and will set up a concentrate into Megidoloan combo so that one can only be done after you hardcore bulk up. Of course you end the turn you want to stop farming the infinite spawns with an Omagatoki: Luck and rake in the experience more than the macca cause it's a normal non-challenge mode farm but the challenge mode farm should be good for big bursts of profit rather than the Mitama's which are infinitely faster once you get to Ueno but that's A. Not saying much since you'd have to be in Godborn and B. To be expected since that's the last area Mitamas spawn since they don't show up in the Pillars Of Eternity floors sadly.
This video randomly made me go "Wait would Alilat keep spawning them if you kill them fast enough?" at 3am and it proved to be a Yes.

i just unlocked the godborne miracle and i got to the point where the enemies are level 900 but it genuinely takes 10 minutes for a single run now. my nahobino is level 126 and 330 magic, safety difficulty and i'm using megidolaon as my main attack and i'm doing 2k per turn. what's the build on the nahobino and mastema? because it's genuinely impossibly long at this point
@@darky1677 there's a massive difference between 330 and 999 Magic at this point. You need to max your stays out.
Also, you need single-target attacks, which I recommend to look at my build showcase video for the Mastema and Nahobino builds.

After you beat Satan in the Canon of Vengeance, you unlock a last miracle you pay for 999 glory, it allows you and your demons to go past level 99 up to level 150. Godborn mode then has every enemy to level 150 from the start of the game.

Godborne.
Godborne which meant defeating Satan on CoV, save before the final boss, beat the boss and make a new file because clear files cannot be loaded, then go to shinjuku where you Samael Quest for Mastema and there you will face the new Super Boss, defeat him and you get godborn.
Now I you are like me and u were playing on normal or hard mode...yikes the fight is brutal, like 2nd or strongest super boss (haven't fought the super boss in Coc, yeah we got another one)

Let me get this straight: you need to beat the game after you beat Satan, and then go to New Game + for Godborn. Only then will Balms be available in Cadaver’s Hollow?
The cheat engine method is quite effective, netting you 1 million macca per minute
Well, some plebs like me play it on PS5, so Cheat Engine isn't an option. Also, were I to use it, I would just bump and lock up the Balm counts to 99. Faster and easier.

Buy the miracles then just skip turns until it goes up to the max. Embolden is the one that gives the most when you end your turn.

@@sorakeyblademaster2890 You have the DLC for increased spawns, right? Use the Attract Pipes and make sure they are clumped together before you strike them? Also I noticed lately that you have to wait until they notice you, otherwise the consecutive encounters won't work.

Can you get higher than 999 hp and 999 mp 🤔?. I remember seeing some video that shown Nahobino has a 1200+ hp 😱.
You can heal beyond max HP, 25% with most heals, and 75% with harvest Festival (Zeus + Demeter special.) Apparently, it was nerfed compared to base SMTV where it was something like 30% and 120% respectively.
