SMTV: Vengeance - Demi-Fiend in One Turn (Hard, Level 99)

- This is also no incense, but technically I've used Stamina Incenses on my Gogmagog and I didn't want to give a false impression. This setup works entirely without incenses, you can try it yourself if you don't believe me.
Strategy:
To start, Nahobino uses Lunation Flux to pass to Nahobeeho, who uses Omagatoki: Strategize.
From here, Nahobeeho and Mastema switch back and forth between themselves, Azazel, and Tzitzimitl to get everyone to -2 attack and agility (NOT Belial, as defense increase will make sacrifices survive their own attacks). Afterward, Amanozako is swapped in to switch ally debuffs to buffs. (Belial can be swapped in a couple times after Amanozako to make the sacrifices die to their own attacks a little more consistently, but I never found it necessary.)
Next, physical sacrifices are brought in and immediately use Critical Wave to kill themselves. Once a couple flashing Press Turn Icons have built up, Nahobino uses Evergreen Dance to assist in building the Magatsuhi gauge to full.
Once the Magatsuhi gauge is full and there's still Press Turn Icons remaining, Arahabaki uses Impaler's Animus, and Azazel, Belilal, Tzitzimitl, and Amanozako are switched in and out to fully buff at this point, because the defense debuff is now necessary.
Then, Xiezhai and Gogmagog are switched in to get a couple Figment Slashes off. Gogmagog is always switched out and back in between attacks to refresh Impaler's Animus.
When there's only one flashing Press Turn Icon left, Xiezhai or Gogmagog is switched out to put in Dagda, who uses Dana's Wisdom to refresh the Press Turn Icons.
Lastly, Xiezhai and Gogmagog are put back in to finish off Demi-Fiend with Gogmagog's Figment Slashes. As before, Gogmagog is switched out and back in between attacks to refresh Impaler's Animus. (Note: I used Stamina Incenses on my Gogmagog, but there's an extra turn here to use a Chakra Pot on Gogmagog to refill its MP, so this strategy does not need incenses. Alternatively, you can use a move slot on Gogmagog for High Restore, which comfortably keeps Gogmagog's MP high enough for ten Figment Slashes.)
Build summary:
Nahobino: Any stats, Xiezhai essence. Null Phys, Lunation Flux, Evergreen Dance
Arahabaki: Impaler's Animus
Gogmagog: Figment Slash, Phys Pleroma, High Phys Pleroma, Critical Zealot, Dragon Eye, High Restore (I don't have it in the video, but this can quell any MP concerns you might have.)
Nahobeeho: Null Phys
Mastema: Endure
Physical sacrifices: Critical Wave, Safeguard, Dragon Eye, Bloody Glee, Murderous Glee
All others that are used: Any
The details for the nerds:
The Nahobino himself is a relatively unimportant portion of this strategy, only needing to carry Null Phys to avoid getting killed/sealed by Javelin Rain, Lunation Flux to save a half Press Turn Icon at the start of the fight, and Evergreen Dance to refill the Magatsuhi Gauge a bit.
Arahabaki is the focal point of this strategy. His passive, Affable Hospitality, grants any ally that switches in the same buffs that Arahabaki himself has, including Omagatoki effects and charge effects. This, combined with Omagatoki: Strategize, allows for repeated use of fully buffed attacks without spending any extra turns doing so.
Gogmagog is used for its passive, Vengeful Might, which gives boosted critical damage per weakness on the active party. Nahobino uses Xiezhai essence (7 weaknesses), Xiezhai is in the party (7 weaknesses), Gogmagog itself has 5 weaknesses, and Arahabaki has 4 weaknesses, for a total of 23 weaknesses across the entire party.
Nahobeeho is used for his passive, Magatsuhi Thriftiness, which reduces the Magatsuhi used by Magatsuhi skills slightly. He is also a Fairy, so he can use Magatsuhi: Strategize.
Mastema provides an extra +1 press turn thanks to his passive, Crime and Punishment, which activates whenever an enemy hits his weakness or critically hits him. Beyond the physical sacrifices, this is the only RNG-reliant portion of this strategy.
Xiezhai also provides a useful passive in Helmsman, which makes hitting Figment Slash 100% consistent.
Azazel, Belial, and Tzitzimitl lower attack, defense, and agility for everyone except themselves, respectively. Amanozako is used to flip these debuffs into buffs for the party.
Danu and Dagda are used for their unique Magatsuhi Skill, Dana's Wisdom, which resets the Press Turn Icons of the party to how they were when the turn started. This generates an extra four full Press Turn Icons with this team composition.
The physical sacrifices (Yamata-no-Orochi, Garulu, Garuda, and Barong) with Critical Wave are used to activate the Vengeance miracle which gives some Magatsuhi gauge back when they die as a result of their attack getting repelled by Girimekhala. They also critically hit Pixie, which activates the Fell Swoop miracle, which increases the Magatsuhi gauge a little more. These critical hits also give more time to do other actions, including hitting Demi-Fiend with more Figment Slashes.
I'm surprised that the Demi-Fiend is *this* patient for this chicanery, but then again he's faced Mot
"Just one turn bro"
The turn in question:
Dude really plays SMT like comboing off in Yugioh to do an otk.
"Imma shuffle Dagda from the field to deck to Special Summon Gogmagog from the Extra Deck" typa😂
"I remove all Magatsuhi Counters from my field to activate the Magic card "Omagatoki: Strategise"!"
DemiFiend shouldve had Nibiru to counter all those demon summons
simple four step plan
1. gogmagog enters
2. gogmagog slaps the demi-fiend
3. gogmagog leaves
4. repeat

SMTV
Demi Fiend (in this video): Can I have a turn?
Nahobino: Fuck no
From the first time I saw the new fusion spell type Magatsuhis and Dana's Wisdom i knew there would be some absolute fuckery to follow with that one.
atlus watching this planning out the nahobino bossfight in smt vi:
Lmao right? 😂
THAT’D BE FUNNY AF. Nahobino playing 4D chess while ur party is still stuck on basic 2D
As you can see with DF's party, they tend to aim more for well balanced than outright busted combos. Remember, this is supposed to play out as a slugfest.
I understood the swapping out for the stat boosts, but was confused about how he was gonna kill Demi fiend in 1 turn... until I saw the magatsuhi bar build up again and Dagda brought out. This strat is absolutely ridiculous and OP.
Finally: Mot 2
This game is unrecognizable
It's better now
It's just the Mot boss fight from Nocturne, except you're Mot
These new magatsuhi skills turn the game into creative mode😂
Basically, you gave him another Mot experience for him to suffer ahahahaha
That's one hell of a turn.
Bro did a Yugioh FTK combo in SMT V
DemiFiend didnt run handtraps. His fault. He shouldve had a Nibiru for all those demon summons.
I knew amanazako's skill was gonna be abusable somehow but now that I realize how Arahabaki works that's nuts, WP

This is absolutely insane you're a legend
I was trying to figure out what your plan was and the second i saw you summon Dagda I legitimately gasped
This might be the most min-maxed thing I have ever seen, you min-maxed the min-max 😭🙏
Man…..what the fuck
I’m totally lost after reading the description
Like I get it but
Damn
I feel like the devs gave us the power of Mot on purpose.
Curious, could you use press turns to use the magatsuhi charging skill on nahobino to reuse dagda's magatsuhi fusion skill and get essentially infinite press turns? Or is there a limit to that strategy
There may be a limit as you need evergreen dance to achieve this and that skill only works once per turn
I think it might be possible if you had more extra turns with something like Baal/Yoshitsune/Mastema passives, but the primary issue would be reviving the demons you have to sacrifice repeatedly. You'd spend a lot of turns just trying to refill the Magatsuhi bar and I'm not sure you'd actually end up net-positive.
-There's also the possibility that Dana's Wisdom is only usable once per turn, but I don't know if Atlus thought that far ahead.- Edit: It's usable multiple times in one turn. Here's a cool video that uses Dana's Wisdom like four times th-cam.com/video/pAKbZWta-C4/w-d-xo.html
Nahobino JP dub: Come forth my slave.
Eng dub: Go get em pika...Azazel!!
Ladies and gentleman, he has become the Mot.
"Looking good, Gogmagog!"
Demi if he could talk: "what is he doing why does he take lo- AAAAAAAAAAAA"
Using the dagda + dana skill is insane i wish i had dana when i attempted thid
Haven't done that route yet so I had to do it longer using BuffMaister's strat
Can I use some other demon in place of Mastema? I'm in CoV and trying to beat Demi-Fiend in my first playthrough (No NG+)
Mastema is necessary for his passive, Crime and Punishment
Does this strategy even need Mastema? You got the kill with one extra turn left. Still, amazing job!
@@RobinandZephyr It needs Mastema for the setup turns--I use Dana's Wisdom to get double value from Crime and Punishment.
@@pajama_day Got you; tysm!
This fight does not like the innate skills at all lmao
Also bringing Bicorn in or any demon that increases crit damage might increase damage
I head about turn steals, but this is the first turn camping.
Like how did he even figure this out lol 🧠
Dunno what's going on but that's just nasty af lol. I know the whole thing looked confusing af from Demi-Fiend's perspective hahaha.
Demi-Fiend gets Mot flashbacks
Pure genius.
Wow, that’s nuts.
this is the biggest brain shit i've seen, wild stuff
This fight between Nahobino from Shin Megami Tensei V and the Demi Fiend from Shin Megami Tensei III is awesome but what game is this
Persona 5
Golden
Final mix
Dancing all night
Digital Devil Saga
yeah you definitely would be a good yugioh player
GOAT
Thank you, Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance
Oh my Gog
My casual ass looking at this like… what!
How did dagdas magatsuhi not overwrite strategize magatsuhi?
Magatshu come in 3 types, glowing buff, charge buff, and attack/skill. Dagda was an attack/skill type while strategize is a glowing buff
Only thing I think I'm not understanding is the need for belial? What benefit does the defense debuff/buff(when flipped) provide? I don't see any point in the video where this would have made a difference, is there a skill I missed that increases damage based on applied buffs or something similar?
lowering DEF guarantees self kills to charge meter.
Mot: ✋❌
Gog: ☝️✅
What the fuck was that
Super cool fight! One question, why do you need to switch Gogmagog out each time he hits if passing is free?
Switching out and back in re-applies Arahabaki's passive to Gogmagog, which lets me refresh Impaler's Animus.
@@pajama_day ah I see, thank you
God I love Gog
My bro, you deserve more subscribe and likes, this is insane. This is what JRPG is about!!!!
Can't one turn him without Gogmagog though.
th-cam.com/video/eUG0rbN9OEU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UkFoHSAxGNuuQbJp It's been done already, actually
Bro I play just a little combo.
Storm count is one.
Pain.
How consistent is gogmagog hitting with figment slash? I know he has dragon eye.
Man I’m getting duel masters ptsd
Insane strategy how does one even come up with this 😭
I don't get how you can land 10 Figment Slash in a row... without missing once
@@Mad77max77 Beast/Dragon Eye passives on Gogmagog as well as the Helmsman innate skill on Xiezhai make Figment Slash 100% accurate
this is so fucking sick
wtf is this
Mot from Nocturne
gogmagog gaming
I guess Xiezhai increases the damage more than Bicorn?
@@pourygin9496 The extra 7 weaknesses from Xiezhai add to Gogmagog's passive so yes, it does end up being more damage to have it. Xiezhai also has Helmsman which makes Figment Slash a little bit more consistent
they never get a turn...
Haha I knew this was cheesable lol
Now this is just silly. But good thinking!
Gimmicky setup
gogMOGog
without belial this is juuuust possible on normal
Most of people on Steam get chaos ending far more before law ending, so they could receive belial faster, what the problem then? Beating him not hard.
@@SaShA6572 i'm not saying there's a problem, just if you get law on your first run you can still do this
How did he get 5 turns 😭😭
Mastema passive
gogmagogg moment
How did you make it to where switching doesn’t take up a turn?
0:28
How can you select your party members without passing? Or does that not take up a turn either?
Magatsuhi skill, Strategize.
Like the other comment said, Magatsuhi Strategize allows you to both pass and switch party members WITHOUT using a press turn icon. From what I saw in the video, the main gimmick involved him bringing demons in and out of stock to build up debuffs until they were full then bring in amanozako who flips all debuffs when she enters the field. From there its using Dagda and Dana's duo skill to regenerate all used press turn icons and let loose with Figment Slash which always crits if it hits. Arahabaki has a passive that passes on all buffs and debuffs when an ally enters the field.
But wouldn't that mean that, even without the switch shenanigans, every turn could be the MCs turn? That would be hella busted. Enter the turn with a critical aura and Murakumo the fuck out of everything.
@@HisHoleyness No, it doesn't work like that. Strategize is specifically made for you to change your demons in party without consuming up turns. Once you do any action besides "Change" and "Pass", your turn would be consumed as usual. Granted that you can give turns to Nahobino, you could only give minimal damage per Critical Murakumo to Demifiend but can't really go beyond what you see in this video.
How does one get 5 press turn icons?
マンセマットの特性です。
@@かさかさ-p5bwe have to beat Mastema to get this?
@@ParadiseLordRyu
マンセマットをゲットする為には復讐の女神編を一度クリアすれば良いはずです。そらはlowルートでもchaosルートでも大丈夫です。
間違ってたらごめんなさい!楽しんで!
What skill did those demons have that let them hit a reflect while still not ending your turn?
it was Safeguard. it removes the extra press turn cost of Null, Miss, Absorb, and Reflect.
Safeguard, passive what people prefer ignore cuse essences exist.
Strategize also provides the critical effect?
Looks like figment slash is 200% critical while having 50% accuracy
He fixed the accuracy problem with that sheep demon. Its innate skill is something like “the demon that act after this demon get a boost to accuracy”. I believe he put beast eyes and dragon eyes passive on Gogmagog as well.
Dont lose turn to atack and reflect?
Safeguard passive skill, prevents turn loss from miss/null/drain/repel
Ew wtf I totally forgot how bad Nahobino's english voice acting is
Though impressive, at this point still calling it a one turn kill may technically be true but come on, you're doing more inputs and switching around than in a 10+ turn battle.
that's the impressive part... I would give this dude props for that if anything
Nah, it is still considered as one turn. This has that same feeling as one turn kill combo in Yugioh.
still a 1turn KO
opponent didn't get a turn
@Fircasice It's not a coup of your SMTV supremacy, dude. You can still play and be satisfied with your inferior strategies.
one turn kill
-proceeds to damage demi fiend on multiple rounds
ok bruh you do you.
@@Topzchi It's not multiple rounds. I use Dana's Wisdom partway through my first turn to restore my Press Turn Icons.
