Awesome review - yes, we had a similar experience. It's really nice that they got back to the complexities they lacked from last year's Drum. Hope to see ya again soon as well.
It's pronounced Bla-a-a-ack like the sheep sound ;-). Look for another new core range Ardbeg called The Wee Beastie, a 5yo 47.4% abv @ $45us coming this spring.
I recently was able to get this bottle my first nose and taste!!! cherry that damn cherry!!! light smoke but the finish was nice cherry, smoke woody, chocolatey . But overall that drop of water made it more intense love it better for me!!! Love the review
Glad this is a good one since they are pricey. Just saw that Ardbeg is going to be releasing a smokey Porter beer. Don't know any details but assume it will be on a nitro tap. Have a fun beer bar with tasty food in my little town and will ask if they can get it. Cheers
Just did some research and found out that they seem to use the original Ardbeg malt and the beer is sold for a good cause, so hopefuilly this is not another ride-the-wave-money-printing thingy.
Great review! This is fully matured in Pinot Noir, not a finish though. And you’re right, last years Drum was the most awful Ardbeg release of the decade.
Great review!
Thanks !
Sounds delicious Eric. Cheers brother.
Whisky In The 6 cheers, Rob. Yeah this one is a winner.
Just found this at a store in Houston and picked it up. Saving for a special occasion but can't wait to open it up!
NICE!!! What to you think?
Blaaack! I need dis.
Da one named Nester you do. 😄
So cool you got the Blaaack! I had a sample tasting this week and agree with your notes. I did also get a red grape note.
Meester French cheers!

sounds good man, last couple release have been disappointing for me so I'm hoping they get it right with this one. Thanks!
Akeem Dream if you find a bottle you’ll be happy for sure. Cheers! 🥃👍
Sounds delish! No word on when these are going to be released in my area yet. Cheers bud.

You mean Ardbeg (LVMH) is getting easy money for others using the brand name for a beer that is produced by some brewery somewhere, right? :-)

Chris M. Ah thanks for that info! Must have missed that. Cheers! 🥃👍
Sorry it’s taken me so long to get to this one, but after last nights live I’m pretty sure I got the jist of your feelings toward it ;)
Rob Klompstra haha cheers, Rob. Good seeing you on the live stream.
