gluten-free pasta isn't more 'overprocessed' than normal pasta, it's just made with different flour (eg. corn, rice).also there's chickpea or lentil pasta, which is normally gluten free and also high in protein! in genereal, gluten-free alternatives aren't 'overprocessed' just because they are gluten free. also might be worth doing a coeliac test before cutting out gluten completely, otherwise you will get a false negative result if you do it after a while of gluten restriction
I'd get the celiac's blood test and gastroscopy with biopsy done first to rule out celiac's disease since the skin rash could be Dermatitis herpetiformis. If you go no gluten first, there's a chance they will be false negative.
Some people have coeliac disease, some are simply intolerant to gluten. Naomi you should have had your TTGA (transglutaminase) checked first before cutting out gluten 💕 Before anyone corrects my spelling of coeliac - this is how we spell it in Europe 😊 I have worked in gastroenterology for over 20 years specialising in coeliac disease.
And now, it's time for some laughs and giggles: A content creator walks into a psychiatrist's office and says, "Doc, help me! I've become addicted to Instagram!" The psychiatrist says, "Sorry, I don't follow you..."
Thank you so much for filming and sharing your days in Bali! I so much enjoyed watching it, wishing you all the best and sending your a good energy and gratitude!
As you are quite a lot under the sun, please have your skin checked by a dermatologist regularly. My daughter had a melanoma removed and she is 27 years old. A lot of young persons are impacted by skin cancer 😢. Take care 😊
I feel your pain in this. I was recently living in SE Asia, wanting adventure and new experiences and I achieved all of these things. But at the same time something felt unbalanced, my skin felt so bad and my routine was off. I didnt have acceess to the health products i wanted to buy and i felt in limbo. I learned and grew so much from it but since i came back to london i feel like myself fully again. I feel like i look like myself and despite not having the same daily adventures, i feel balanced and peaceful in the simplicity of home. Travel gives us perspective and home gives us balance to thrive 💛
It could be the gluten, but it could also potentially be whatever kind of oil they fried the fritters in, as some types can be highly inflammatory (canola/soy/etc.). Enjoy your videos! :)
You could be sensitive to gluten without being celiac. You can do the blood test to see if you have the genetic component (because the endoscopy is not fun) but also you know yourself. If you get bloated after eating gluten then cut down (or stop).
Niomi I really love watching your videos and reading your Instagram captions! ❤ Your revelations become my revelations. You are so inspiring and I appreciate you sharing your journey so much! ✨
Have you been tested for coeliac disease? You'd have to be eating gluten for the test to give an accurate result, but it's worth knowing because if you're a coeliac you need to be really careful. (I'm a coeliac and I'm glad I put up with gluten for a few more weeks to have clarity for the rest of my life.) Talk to your GP. 🙂❤
I recently had a really bad case of fungal acne, caused by antibiotics. The acne patterns you describe match mine perfectly. Fungal acne is caused by a yeast fungus that loves sugar and simple carbs, so your gluten theory fits. I got my fungal acne under control by using an extra strength dandruff shampoo as a face mask 2-3 times a week, and using a tea tree spot stick on problem areas.
I love desserts so much I actually ate a three corse dessert meal in a restaurant where I absolutely love there desserts! And I loved every bite of it. No shame in that ❤
Niomi, I was getting skin issues from gluten. I cut it out and it went away. I missed it but I found people online who had the same issues and they had switched over to only non GMO wheat products or organic and they had no problem. That worked for me too.
In the blood test and the scope biopsy they look for inflammation, which doesn't show up if you cut gluten out. You need to be eating gluten every day for 2 weeks before either the blood tests or the biopsy
@@sfrancies87 she's not seeing a doctor? And what I've said is factual medical protocol for anyone wishing to receive or provide an accurate blood test or biopsy for celiac disease. Don't be so triggered.
Thanks for sharing:) I've always thought that my skin is responding to diary, but now I guess it could be gluten as well! The more awarness we have, the better we can look after ourselves🥰
I have problems when I eat gluten, soy and canola/rapeseedoil and fried foods. Deep inside you know what is good for you and what not. Listen to your intuition/body🙏🏼💞
Hi Niomi❤️🌴 I’m so happy to “see” you. I missed your videos so much. I’ve been following you for about 8 years and I love your content. We are both getting older ( I’m 53:-)) and life changes us. Wish you all the best. Greetings from cold 🇨🇭
Hi niomi...so glad u r back in Bali. I love how u use helmet with that motorcycle. I know lots of foreigners they do not care at all about safety in there to the point of doing vulgar things in public. Thank you for considering your safety and for your kindness and noticing their kindness too❤
Yes thank you for noticing this. Wearing a helmet is so important. It doesn't matter how safe we are, we always have to be prepared for other things happening around us. I would always recommend wearing a helmet when riding a moped or motorcycle xx
You've got to check out Made's Banana Flour Bakery in Canggu!! I am gluten-free (have been for 5+ years) and when I was there this was an amazing place. The best gluten free bread I've EVER had!
No she doesn’t she was having some health prob, missing certain vitamins, she eats fish now, & I’m pretty sure she mentioned eggs too she discussed it a while back on insta and here
Should get a blood test to make sure it isn't celiac disease. I had to get blood tests done and I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. So I can't have dairy and nuts. So I made the decision to become pescatarian and it has helped
Refined Flours & Sugars are definitely something to stay away from. They are highly processed and can cause all kinds of inflammatory issues, as well as spiking your blood sugar levels. Dairy causes a host of issues as well, but I believe you’re still vegan, so I know you refrain from consuming dairy. 😎👍
You guys are the most wholesome couple... It's so lovely to watch you two sharing your lives together!! This is what it looks like when you are with "your person", that one person you are completely compatible with, on all four levels (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) - not to say that there won't be any growth involved during the course of your entire relationship, but when that growth is based on mutual love, care, trust, and respect, it is the most wonderful thing. I didn't want to settle with anyone yet because I have not met the guy I feel I am compatible with on all those levels, but watching you two warms my heart :-). Much love to both of you from gorgeous Granada in Spain! (By the way, if you haven't been to Granada yet, you HAVE TO do the night tour of the Nasrid palaces in La Alhambra... It's THE MOST romantic thing ever!!! ;-) xoxox

Man alive these videos end abruptly😬😅
Niomi, do you check your levels of iron and protein as a vegan/vegeterian. Cuz also these break-outs can happen because of lack of those.
She isn’t vegan or vegetarian. She eats animals again. X

It’s nothing from the outside, it all comes from the inside. It’s ALL emotional 💘

Do you hate dinner? 😂 lol

@niomismart. Lovely wee vlog. Random question but do you ever ride/drive the moped- are the roads scary? X

@@niomismart Good morning Niomi🌻

I always love watching your videos Niomi, your videos alwys make ma day better, you always motivate me to be helathier, thank you
Niomi do you still follow a plant based diet?
You can see in the video that she doesn’t. She talked about it in more detail either in a video or on Instagram.
No she doesn’t she was having some health prob, missing certain vitamins, she eats fish now, & I’m pretty sure she mentioned eggs too she discussed it a while back on insta and here
Why is He getting His nails done ? 😳
Because it feels nice.
Hope you and your medical practitioners find the answer, and on a side note please don't feel bad for eating two desserts!
Hi,
Gluten gives me dry and red patches on my thighs and sometimes on my arms...
This used to happen to me but it was definitely dairy in my case!
Please be careful with all the sun exposure and routinely see a dermatologist 😊

I like cycling too, Nimbobs
did you quit being a vegan?
Is that sasha baren cohen?
The problem is not the gluten, it’s the glyphosate
Are you eating eggs now 😳
You can be allergic to yeast as well.
Or it could be caused by veganism? Plants lack bioavailable forms of vitamin A (retinol), D3, K2, B12, saturated fat, omega 3, B6, B1 etc
