At my 30 week ultrasound they found my amniotic fluid was low. My MFM doctor told me there was nothing I could do to improve it. But I decided to increase my hydration and drank 80oz of water every day and raised my AFI from 3.5 to 8.7.

Dr.Ali relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Talk to her, empower her. Pray for her and you. Stress is a circle. Sing to her. She is listening to your voice, rub your tummy. They are so so smart. Right now she is feeling everything you are feeling. If it is early delivery its ok. C section programmed can be relaxing. Like I said before, I dont know labor pain.

I was diagnosed with low fluid during a 41 week biophysical profile. Baby was not moving no matter what we did. Was sent straight to the hospital for induction. There was almost no fluid when they broke my water. Had an emergency c-section for fetal distress that night. It was all very scary. My doctor said it was caused by poor placenta function and baby was low on oxygen.
I’m angry with my old OBGYN because I caught covid at 39 weeks and they refused to do in person visits for 2 weeks. I was not receiving proper monitoring because of that and my baby almost died.

Thanks for this video, very timely for me! I’m about as far along as you with a breech baby and got diagnosed with oligo 2 weeks ago so that’s a funny coincidence. My total fluid was 2cm which really scared everyone so I got sent to L&D for a day for fluids and it resolved thankfully! Water consumption and antenatal testing is my life now haha. I hope yours continues to improve too and may our babies flip soon!

Really glad to come across this video. We delivered my son at 36 wks 13 days ago due to low amniotic fluid and growth restriction and he was also a breech baby. So it was an exciting and terrifying day but there was no time to explain everything to me so to know more about why this can happen is really great thank you.

I had extra fluids towards the end & my baby was breech too! I did all the stretches & spinning babies (nothing worked!) I was so upset about having to do a planned c/s. Was going to keep trying but then at 36 wks 5 days my water broke, delivered c/s anyways! It went so well. We are 7 weeks postpartum today! Stomach finally feels more normal.

I needed this video. I’m actually going in today for an NST & the munchkin is breech again. I’m at 38 weeks & even though my other kids were regular deliveries, I chose to skip the ECV & just get a section. I’m super nervous & excited because I’m going to get a tubal at the same time. I hope your little one cooperates. ❤

Thanks so much for this video. I had low amniotic fluid with my last Pregnancy but no explanation as to what that meant from the specialist. I had a few nst appt and then boom after an ultrasound he told me to go directly to the hospital for delivery. I had c-section and they discovered the cord was around his neck. He is now 2 1/2 and thinks he is spider man.

Thank you for the video! I had my first baby 4 weeks ago and at 36 weeks was diagnosis with oligo. My doctor had me come back a week later for another ultrasound and growth scan. The next week I had no measurable amniotic fluid and my water had not broken, was sent to get induced at 37.5 weeks. The baby was growing great, moving with no fluid and taking those practice breaths. I still don’t fully understand how the low fluid happen and how it went empty (not measurable on ultrasound) in a week. Baby’s kidneys were good and was measuring 6lbs. Thankfully, baby was born healthy and via c-section! (Baby heart rate started dropping right before I was going to start pushing 🤦🏾‍♀️)

I’m only 15 weeks and just got diagnosed with gestational diabetes (I have pcos so they tested me early) I didn’t even know about this low fluid thing and I’m glad to learn about it and feel more prepared in case it comes up. Sending good vibes to you and baby ❤

I was having twice weekly NSTs because of idiopathic hypertension. My doctor noticed oligo at my last NST before my due date and was like hey you’re being induced. I was shocked and a little sad to have to be induced a second time, but I have a healthy kiddo so that’s what counts.

I had low fluid, my girl stopped moving and I went in asap they figured out she did have some fluid. Was monitored, went in for an appt and was sent to hospital. Went in on Friday had c section on Tuesday, went home the following Friday. Being in the hospital for a week was horrible because of no visitors 😢

They told me to stop drinking as much milk and drink more water. So I drink lots of water. Now my AF was high and the ob was really concerned bc I'm 42. It's such a balance. The AF even lessened which was rare, but she says that means I was right. Then GD hit. I have a severe chronic motion sickness so I had to handle the 40 mile trip and the stupid orange liquid. After they messed up the test- I bought one! They gave me a form and I learned I was spiking my bs in a lot of ways! Very informative!

Do you have a video on the visible differences between Gestational Hypertension and Preeclampsia? I had a blood pressure reading of 156/93. I went to the emergency room, and they said I was contracting. No medicine to stop contractions. I was a few days shy of 32 weeks. My final diagnosis was generational hypertension, but I’m still have swelling that doubles and triples my ankle size. I had my wedding rings on, and they were stuck on my finger for over a week due to swelling. Headaches and a lot of sleep. I guess I just need guidance and relief because I don’t want anything to happen to me or my son during labor or birth. I’ve heard a lot of crazy things about seizures and strokes and comas with a high blood pressure.

Would absolutely Iove a video on breech babies. My first was breech and my fluid was on the low end towards the end so my doctor didn’t recommend an ECV. I ended up with a planned C-section. I am pregnant again and know this time around I’m a little more prone to a breech baby so I’d love all the tips. Hope your girl flips over!!

My team really failed me😢 loss my son April 22, 2023 (stillbirth) at 26 weeks 5 days. They diagnosed me with High Blood Pressure but wasn’t treated, just giving a bp cup/machine and was told to keep an eye on my numbers. Never ruled in with Preeclampsia because there was no protein in my urine. They said after I delivered him that it was due to my high blood pressure. My high bp caused my placement to malfunction so they say. I honest don’t know what happened. I’ve never had hbp ever in my life. This would’ve been baby #5. Out of all my pregnancies I’ve never experienced my water breaking nor leakage. But after finding out due to ultrasound that he was gone it appeared my amniotic fluid was very low. Almost empty 😢. And idk how that’s even possible. I’m just hurt😢

I wish my doctor would have explained a lot more of this. When I went to my 39wk appointment my Amniotic Fluid was low and High BP. Was sent to hospital for extra monitoring. NST was fine my Amniotic fluid was at a 5 they said normal range is 9-20 so I was “extremely low.” I was also diagnosed with gestational hypertension. They pushed for an induction which I didn’t want. Ultimately Ended up with a c-section 😢 I tried to ask questions but my doctor was so rude every step of the way.

I'm not a dr obviously, but babies are notorious for flipping when you actually go into labor or right before. My last one (I've had 4) was transverse at 37 weeks and flipped to the correct position within the next week. I read lots of stories from women who said their babies flipped a week before, a day before, or while in active labor. Why rush into an automatic c section?

Yeah, mine flipped very close to the end. I also gave birth to twins, second was breech during majority if the labour, after the first twin came out, second one flipped around and came out naturally. In my country they do not encourage c-section for breech babies.
