Dr Ali! It was me with the luxury bag! I’m all for doing what makes you happy and buying what I want now! I’m so happy you got your baby girl!!! Praying for a safe delivery! We are one year apart with our birthdays! You removed my IUD! ❤❤❤ you are one blessing of a Dr and amazing person! You have impacted me in such a positive way being vocal about my health with my dr. Without your encouragement and guidance I would not know how to speak up!
No ma'am, we are not doing the whole "I know it sounds dumb to have a luxury designer diaper bag" thing. You have worked hard to get where you are in life, buy the dang diaper bag YOU wanna buy! Opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one! 🩷🖤🩷🖤
@@missjo2036 🤣🤣🤣 Aren't dads the freaking best? Mine passed away unexpectedly a couple of years ago. He was so funny & smart, and while I miss his many witty sayings these are some of my favorites! No, I don't. "It's a brain sucker. Know what it's doing? No sir, I don't. "It's STARVING!" 🤣💆🏼♀️🤣🤦🏼♀️ There's so many more, but those are just the ones I use often, and they always make people laugh.🤭
I had both my baby girls at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia both times. It all worked out they were both born perfectly healthy. I’m glad to see she and you are well! Congratulations and enjoy motherhood!!!
Girl, you do not have to explain yourself for wanting what you want. You worked SO hard to get to where you are! Get the bag! No shame or guilt! You go have that baby and strut that bag! Haha I’m so happy for you!:)
It’s pretty wild but I just delivered my son under the same circumstances! Found out the oligo had worsened on Thursday at 35+5 and he was still breech, got steroids and admitted to the hospital and had him via c section on Saturday. Even though it sucks to have these issues, it’s so weird that our pregnancies have been so similar. I hope you are enjoying your baby girl right now and everything went well!
This was the first time your baby will throw a wrench in your plan, certainly not that last! Becoming a mom will make you realize how little control you have! Embrace the crazy! Congrats!
Felicidades mamá! I was pretty much exactly where you were too - advanced maternal age, no fluid, breech… I went in for my appointment at 36/4 and was told my baby needed to come out now! So, I called my husband and said hey we’re gonna be parents now lol. Mijo was in the NICU for 2 weeks - he was perfect just needed to get his sucking down so he could eat and grow and it was honestly not bad at all. Our NICU team was amazing! I even used the artwork the nurses made for him during his stay as his nursery artwork 💚 It all works out 😊😊😊
I understand every mom prays for a healthy pregnancy, but since you are an OBGYN I’m guessing you were hoping that since it’s your first time everything will go perfectly/smoothy the way YOU wanted… I think things like this happen because God wants to humble us and let us know that he is here ❤️ he has a reason for everything that he does and he wants to remind us that even though this pregnancy was NOTHING like you expected or wanted, God is in control and he will lead you on what to do in situations like these. I’m so glad we have a God like this. Congratulations on the baby though and remember that God never puts more on you than you can bare, so what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger 💯. Another thing is it’s okay to not hit full term.. I was born a month early and I am doing just fine ❤️
Congratulations!! This video brought back all of the emotions and feelings I had with my baby. I found out at my 36 week appointment that she had IUGR and was breech, so I was scheduled for a C-section at exactly 37 weeks. Luckily I had a full week to prepare, but it was shocking at first. It’s so surreal to know exactly when your baby is coming and also be worried about them knowing they will be born early. She was born in June 2023 at 5 lb 7 oz and still a little peanut but hitting all her milestones! You’ve got this mama!
Dr Ali, thank you for sharing your pregnancy journey with us and being so candid and real. As a new mom, I can confidently say that you got this!! So happy that you got to bring Pepli home 🥹💛
Awww ! We were dame weeks from. Ali but, thank god she's okay. I still have 3 weeks more. I'm 29 years old and financially not stable but, im glad you're stable and relaxed
I’ve had three babies. First I had preE. Second was great and even had a pain med free birth. Third baby was wild. Complete previa with bleeding and clots at 28 weeks and again at 34 weeks. Had her that evening and spent 12 days in the nicu. That previa pregnancy and the emergency c section was really hard to deal with but looking back in grateful for the experiences I’ve had that will help me be a better birth worker. Thank you for sharing your story and experiences! You don’t have to but I’m glad you do! I LOVE watching your videos.
I have a testimony too like this. My youngest was supposed to be a scheduled C-section. I JUST KNEW in my heart that she would be coming earlier than her 39w0d date. I was okay having a scheduled C-section since my first two were urgent after long labors and failed inductions. Everything just lined up so perfectly. God is good. I was having aches and pains. My sister dropped off hand me downs so I had everything ready for her arrival. On Monday the week before her birth she measured enormous on her 36 week scan since my GD was poorly managed. 😑 I was struggling mentally with pregnancy and 2 toddlers. I end up seeing a different doctor in the practice two days later who believed me when I said I felt she needed to come out earlier since I felt achy and tired. This was on a Thursday. Turns out I had mild preeclampsia again! That same doctor scheduled my delivery for Tuesday. So she was born at 37w0d at 9 pounds and 15 ounces! I did nonstop skin to skin and she passed all her sugar tests AND was able to latch! Nursing was still a struggle the first couple weeks due to her extreme fatigue. But it all worked out! Praise God! I had a 6cm uterine window I think due to her excessive size. I’m so thankful we delivered when we did.
Congratulations on your baby!! My boy was born at 36.5 weeks when my water broke (PPROM!) he was also breech so we had to go via c/s! He is 10 weeks old now and thriving! Enjoy this next phase with your little fam❤
Oh sweety you are doing perfect. It will all be so great. Not ur plan but obviously baby’s. She’s excited to see u. She had to give u a run since u r a baby doctor. 😂 u r so strong. Im so excited for u
Thank you for the vulnerability you shared with us. It gives me new perspective that even that you know as ob-gyn the implications and risks with the circumstances still can be a shocking to us as pregnant people to realise things don't pan out as we thought or hoped for. Everything with pregnancy and parenting were not prepared for and mostly unpredictable. It just shows how much we are not in control of and how much we have to give it to God. My baby was low birth weight and small for gestational age. She is still small for the developmental milestones chart.
We got an expensive carseat/stroller, and boy do I have ZERO regrets. I loved the carseat so much, and we still use the stroller everyday for walks. I'm excited to continue using them with our next baby. To this day, they're still my favorite baby purchases.
Best of luck and praying for a smooth and safe delivery. My birth did not go according to plan, I had to have a C Section. It is totally valid to be overwhelmed and grieving the birth plan. You are going to be an amazing mama. 💕
Are you kidding me - you have worked SO HARD to be able to afford these luxuries! Enjoy them! Wishing you the best birth. Love the videos 💛 I am currently 31 weeks, so seeing your videos are so fun for me right now!
Thanks so much for sharing your journey and your emotions. It is appreciated. Blessings to your family. You were a light through my first pregnancy. Enjoy motherhood. You’ll do great! ❤️❤️
I didnt pack until a day before i delivered, i didnt even intend to deliver when i did, i just got to my last appointment but the obgyn refused that i should go back home and admitted me into my room i was already due but the pre-eclampsia made it harder for the doc to let me go. I was to do my hair and nails that day but i didnt. My mom and two of my sisters came in later, i delivered the next day normally, i thank God. My boyfriend left work to bring everything, slept overnight and would leave only for urgent clients and came to pick me to go home. Carried our daughter home.
Having unexpected things like this happen can be so hard. I went in for a bpp at 41 weeks. Hadn’t had an ultrasound since 20 weeks. Baby wasn’t moving and had almost no fluid. Was sent straight to the hospital where we tried to induce labor, but baby went into distress and we had to do an emergency c-section. I’m kinda glad noone gave me a choice about what to do and I didn’t have time to think about it. I was already terrified, that would have been so stressful. My baby boy was born healthy although a bit blue.

I brought home a bunch of the mesh underwear. I didn’t have to feel guilty throwing them out when I was done with them. The nurse was amazing and gave me like 10 pairs!
so many people say ick things trying to dance around liking luxury brands. I like that you are down to earth about it. I would never buy one even if I could afford it but even on my low/avg income I find ways to treat myself and would never look down on another woman for doing that as long as she isn't looking down on others!
Prayers to you and baby girl!!! I can't wait to hear all about it. I am new here. I wish I had you as an obgyn, you seem so kind and compassionate. I'm due in 8 weeks! I had a 30 and 34 weeker. Youve got this. My second only had a 4 day nicu stay to rule our choreo but he was fine. Youve got it... And get the bag you want. You carry it so you need to like it.
I didn’t even know you had a TH-cam channel!! I am so excited and happy for you guys! I had gestational hypertension at my 40 wk appt and got induced and had my baby 2 days later but great decision 😍🥰
I had a similar voice in my head with my last baby… at 35 weeks I felt like something was wrong… they swobbed me and found the protein for possible early rupture… had steroids …. Had him a week later and almost had a emergency c-section when his heart rate went to 40s…. My dr said you have 1 push left get him out or we’re flying and knocking you out for a C-section…. And I don’t know how but he came out… (he was sunny side up)…. Then they found his cord had a double true knot in it… and my doctor was like if we would have seen that on ultrasound I would have put you in the hospital on 24 hr monitoring…
My second sons pregnancy was diff.I started leaking ammniotic fluid at 8 months. I also started having Braxton hicks and i was 2.5 cm dialated since the 8 month. So for several weeks,we had to get checked and an internal exam ,every 3rd day I was scared of having a " dry birth" but midwife assured me I certainly wouldnt have a dry nirth. Hmm but I was still leaking fluid. Ok he had to be induced, lil bugger just loved it inside he didnt eant to leave Then during transition ,oh he got stuck ,for over an hour. Then suddenly he moved his arm down from his face and he entered the world. Then I had piccia ,if i remember the term vorrectly 36 years later. My face ,chest and upper torso was completely covered with masses of lil tiny bright red dots. But he was an angel baby and toddler
You would know way more then me since you’re an OB but if I can recommend one thing for postpartum it’s earth mama peri spray! It was the one thing that helped my pain so much with my first….this time I might need a c section but I bought some just in case
I bought 3 diaper bags and even had one gifted and unfortunately they didn’t work well for me so I ended up getting a backpack diaper bag and it works way better for us.
Congrats!!! I gave birth to my first on October 20, at 36+2 after my water broke. We didn’t even have a crib yet (ordered it but hadn’t arrived yet), so I feel you! Thankfully she was fine (aside from low blood sugar for the first two days) but getting home to boxes everywhere and NOTHING set up was very stressful 😂

I'm trying to put my hospital bag together now. What nursing bras did you get? My baby boy is breech and I'm 36 weeks. So c-section is probable. I'm looking for what essentials I need in my hospital bag for me, my spouse and my baby.
The recliner will be better in your room beside basinet because with csection lying down on bed its very dificult especially in the first 4 weeks. Can you also do un a video on how ypur perspective as a doctor changed now the you have a c section towards your patients ?

Congratulations Dr. Ali on your baby girl 🙏🏼🎉
This was a true testimony. GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME!! Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations hope it all went well! Sending so much love to you and your beautiful baby girl
Good luck , wish you all the best and safe delivery for your baby girl. ❤
I love how she called her mom to be sure about washing baby’s clothes lol I literally wash everything together for my baby 😂🤷🏻♀️
Don't apologize for the luxury diaper bag! You have worked hard for what you have!❤

Congratulations!! Please don’t feel like you have to explain yourself. As a fellow designer bag lover I’m just sad we didn’t get to see the bag 😂😂😂
Wishing you a safe delivery! 🙏🙏
You said you look like a mess but I would say you look like a beautiful, thankful momma to be. The world needs more real and less fake
So happy for you all! 💕
You would know way more then me since you’re an OB but if I can recommend one thing for postpartum it’s earth mama peri spray! It was the one thing that helped my pain so much with my first….this time I might need a c section but I bought some just in case
Just checked this out! Hope your csec went well! and to your baby, Welcome to this world!!! ❤❤❤
Awww so emotional. 🎉 congratulations mommy
You got this! Rest well 💞
I bought 3 diaper bags and even had one gifted and unfortunately they didn’t work well for me so I ended up getting a backpack diaper bag and it works way better for us.
Congratulations! Praying for y’all. ❤
I'm a pediatric icu nurse and pregnant with baby #6 and I hope u have a good safe healthy delivery for u and your daughter. It's weird I went being a illustration artist to the medical field but I'm happy with my career.
How do you still work with 6 kids? I only have one and the twelve hour conflicts with my husband work husband plus we don’t stay around family.
@@KeAcco baby #6 hasn't been born yet and I make it work with my other children especially the oldest ones and I'm a single mum and I also my best friend for over 40yrs help me with the two Lil ones. And I have 14 siblings who help me to that live near by
Oh my! that's early. Hoping for an easy birth and a healthy baby for you!

Best of luck!!! Btw you do not look 35! You look awesome!
Congratulations! I hope all went well.
I'm trying to put my hospital bag together now. What nursing bras did you get? My baby boy is breech and I'm 36 weeks. So c-section is probable. I'm looking for what essentials I need in my hospital bag for me, my spouse and my baby.
I had my boy 36 & 5 due to pre eclampsia he’s 4 months and 18 pounds now ❤️
Sending you all love! good luck and Congradulations ❤
The recliner will be better in your room beside basinet because with csection lying down on bed its very dificult especially in the first 4 weeks. Can you also do un a video on how ypur perspective as a doctor changed now the you have a c section towards your patients ?
