    I did the Camino Frances again last year, 2022, and one of the things I don't like about that route is there are so many waymarkers. Not like the first time where I had to hunt for The Arrow., especially on the Meseta. I like the adventure of "feeling lost", needing to rely on skills or situational awareness to get me to the next place. I love the Camino, even if I am a Buddhist; it's the Spirit.

    Another great video. Beautiful countryside, and just another dimension of light, cowbells on all livestock. I'm loving this extra string to your bow. Having read your daily dispatches, the videos bring more context. I've got to finish my 2nd Frances first. I finished in Leon in September 2019. Then perhaps look at the Primitivo?

    I heard something weird like that in Cornellana too. I was trying to convince myself I was dreaming, but who knows! It was also fully booked (2018)...but it is the place! I'm going to have to look in my personal journal as I want to say I saw some weird light too...but that might be a Mandela effect so don't want to say for sure.
    Anyway, been watching as many videos as I can, setting out on Camino Aragonés in a week before popping over to Camino Vasco and eventually Camino del Invierno if all goes according to plan...your videos have me so excited for it! So thanks.

      Oh I can’t wait to hear more about your Camino… you know that I love all three of these routes! All will be easy to navigate and you’ll have lots of solo time and some beautiful views. I hope it’s an amazing time!!

    Did you ever get any responses from other visitors regarding unusual sounds in the night? Going on Camino late May and was hoping to stay a night at the monastery. Do you know if there is a private room option? The information is limited online.

      No one else I stayed with heard anything!! I hope you’re able to stay there- I’m not sure if they have private rooms, all I saw were larger spaces with bunks

    Hi Nadine..I’m hoping to do the primitive in September.I’ve already walked frances twice and Portuguese from porto on the central..would you say this is the toughest in terms of incline..

      I think it IS more difficult than the Francés and the Portugués, but there are some challenging days on the Francés, so you already know what it's like to do a tough stage. The challenging part of the Primitivo is that there are consecutive days with lots of ups and downs... like 4 or 5 of them. So there's not really an 'easier' stage to break up all the ups and downs. But the individual stages aren't any more difficult than the day from St Jean to Roncesvalles (and not even that hard). Plus, you can plan shorter stages, especially on that first section from Oviedo to Lugo, and just take it slow! It's such a beautiful Camino.

    Hi Nadine. Leaving for the primitivo april 19th. Will I have to book ahead or wing it. Thanks carl

    • @NadineWalks
      @NadineWalks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Carl! I think if you'd rather just wing it, you can go with that. I often like to have my first night reserved, just so I don't have to rush or worry, and then I'd say just try to get a sense of how many others are walking your stages. If it's feeling crowded or like some towns could be tight on lodging, you can always reserve the day before or morning of. But I wouldn't worry about booking the entire thing ahead of time (unless you want to!)
