That snoot eats a lot of light, only use it in lower light situations, just a remark ;)

I haven’t tested it with a light meter but I’d say it’s pretty much on par with most soft boxes that Ive used that have two layers of diffusion. Have never had an issue personally!

What a pleasure to dig in your old video.
Now, I have an AD200 to shoot band and other. How do use gel with it and barebulb ?(except if you only shoot with the speedlight head)
    Thanks

Do you have a more detailed vid about case uses for colored gels? If not, it would be most welcome. Goats are cool - milk, cheese, hides and chops😊.

Haha I can certainly add it to the list Paul, thankyou for the feedback. How about a video about Gels photographing goats?

None of the examples you showed for the shoot really showed off it’s best use case?
Those hard light shots are all perfectly achievable with a bare flash. Not a snoot.
I use a snoot for adding a pop of light onto a product label or as a rim light.

That’s a totally valid use! You’re right about the portrait shot but I’ll respectfully disagree about the product pics though. in my small home studio setup a bare flash would have had light bouncing off all the walls and roof. It wouldn’t have been very difficult to get a clean dark shadow without the very focused light
