    I think this is by far the best delay pedal you can get especially how it pairs very well with high gain. you've convinced me to go buy one again. absolutley love your simplified approach with gear. less is more in many ways

      It’s definitely a cool pedal! I also like the MXR delay.

      @@jasonstallworth we need to get a "GREAT METAL TONE/S" shirt for your merchandise . it's become one of your catch phrases I love it. yes the mxr is very cool. I feel like the boss can just do so many different sounds that would fit for any type of music .

    Another excellent vid Mr Jason. My 30 yr old Yamaha DDS-20M pedal is still great but like your pedal, it's only one setting when playing live so I've just bought a BOSS DD-200 - it is easy to store settings in one of the memory locations and very simple to tap to the next one along which is what you need for live (or lazy!) playing. The other great thing is the "Shimmer" setting which is like some ethereal new-world sound and I'm using it nearly all the time as a sort of low-level background effect.

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Man, the DD-200 is something I may look into! I like that shimmer effect for those ambient sounds

    Right on Jason, I love listening to and playing around with delay/reverb/mod effects. I really enjoyed the modulate clean tones you played, very post rock 🤘 I'm a huge Boss fan boy lol, I bought the Katana amp about a year ago and loved it immediately. It was definitely option overload at first, and I'm still dialing in new tones all the time, but I would say it's the best guitar related purchase I've ever made :) It has tons of Boss effects loaded into it including an emulation of the Roland SDE-3000; really unbelievable what you get for the price. I also have a bunch of Boss pedals but not one of their delay pedals. Don't really feel like I would need it now with everything included in the Katana amp, all that's necessary is a foot switch and the options are endless! Great video man 🤘

    • @jasonstallworth

      Yeah that modulate settings is mystical!! I need to pick up a reverb pedal soon

    This pedal also does well with a BOSS momentary switch. Get those dotted 8th notes for all that U2, Police, and so on, stuff. The dotted eighth note sustains for three-quarters of a beat. It's easy to use. So much going on with this pedal that most don't know about. I only know how to use maybe half of it, but lots of videos out there and you piece it together. Great job 👏 btw.

      I actually ended up selling this pedal and going to go with something more simple. I'll never use all of the functions this one has, and if I did, I wouldn't use it for every song, which means you'd have to bend down and change the delay setting for your songs and that's not something I wanna do on stage! Looking at the MXR delay

    Awesome video - I love your teaching style, and this pedal is super badass. I was wondering what settings you used for the analog demonstration as your "2nd favorite."
    You are holding the pedal in your hand after that section, are those the settings that you used? I love the solos sound, but im having a difficult time dialing it in for myself. Thank you for your educational content!

    What’s a good setting for clean sustain only?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dude, you'd just have to play around with the settings...lotta options. But if you're only looking for sustain, I'd just get a sustain pedal.

    I just bought on on eBay, kinda hard to find cheaper then 100$ but I’m looking forward to it, any ideas on what pedal would go with the dd7 for metal?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not too familiar with distortion pedals (I get my distortion from the amp itself, EVH). But if you have a smaller amp that doesn’t have good distortion, pick up something like the Metal Zone

    Hi. I've had this pedal for quite sometime and was working great. But it has stopped functioning suddenly. Can u please give some hints as to how it can be fixed. Thank u.

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no clue. I've never had any issues with mine. I'd recommend reaching out to the manufacturer or taking it to a local guitar shop.

      I did take it to the authorized dealer. But the cost comes to almost the same as buying a new one.
