    Croatian authorities implement several measures to manage tourism 1046am 19.6.23 can't say i have ever been to what was the former Yugoslavia but came close many years ago on a trip to a mittle European state. i doubt the Spanish will be flocking to taste the delights of Croatian culture just yet...

    How about Turkiye? It ignores even the word "Overtourism".
    In contrary they even want to attract more cheap tourism and cruiseships.
    The coastal cities are hard to stand due to the crowds. Everything is paked, noisy and dirty.

    Dubrovnik is very expensive but if you go 15 miles from there there is Bosnian border with Croatia and there is a town Trebinje everything is the 10th time cheaper and by the way, all people from Dubrovnik they come there on weekends and buying stuff and taking back to Croatia if you want to see Dubrovnik I think this is your cheapest option
