    Good stuff mate, just thought I would throw you a quick update regarding the hate towards the 2.0L from previous posts. Just did 22000K trip around Aus towing 2.8T van. Zero mechanical issues and no issues in regard to day to day power. Sure the V6 would probably do it a little easier but if you have the 2.0L it won’t hold you back.

    Doesn’t matter what other people think, how they set up, all about how you camp/travel, well done, I had a tub on my work Ute for years, so over hitting my head when the side windows were open, hate them now, good to c you back buddy ❤

      Got the wrong canopy 😂. Mine open up all the way on my caddy storage canopy and has LARGE SIDE windows so you can put ya whlle body in to pull a milk crate pit through it haha.

    It's good seeing all of the channels I subscribe to come to the conclusion that less is actually more. Looks good mate, I can't imagine you'd be sitting around camp wishing you had anything else with you

    Legend, you’ve pretty much set that up exactly how I want to do my new car so room for my doggo too except I want the bcf kitchen slide in place of the standard fridge slide. I had one in the hilux before I wrote it off and I never put into my 100 series and sold it and regretted it.

    Great setup. I have the next gen raptor with roller shutter but seen you car at the show as i like the maxliner canopy and the misso dose to but maxliner said they are 92kgs when i emailed them and with the lower gvm i couldnt do it as bar work, winch and roof rack and awning and family in the car i am very close to gvm, so my set has fridge with no slide, pirate co tub bracket , i use cargo cases for camping gear , and i have a battery behind the seat . I used tred 60l as a another battety system with 200 btec and 2000 watt inverter in there for the the 240 volt side when caming is done it all is removed with in 5 min mins as like you saying to be able to use the tub and take the unnecessary weight out when not needed for fuel 😂 and to get the sportness of the raptor back with no less weight

    • @4x4CampingandAdventures
      @4x4CampingandAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mate glad ya liked it, I check the website and mine shows 60kg as the physical weight I mean we put it on with 3 people pretty easily, I checked the fitmy4x4 website and they are stating 60kg as well I couldn’t see the raptor being any different. Thanks for watching mate.

    G'day, I like your setup, looking at getting a ranger and was thinking about a service body, but now I'm worried about weight and trying to simplify my accessories to keep the weight down. Also keeping in mind the daily use when not camping/touring. So enjoyed your perspective.

    Yeah buddy! Some people over complicate camping pending how they camp. My setup in px2 ranger weighs 2.48T with myself in it, single draw, full fridge, full diesel tank, full 40L water tank 12V water pump, dcdc with agm battery and 180w solaf panel, caddy storage Canopy. Plenty of gvm even with another adult, 2 kids plus towball weight when towing the camper. Learnt from my ol 3.2T patrol 😂😂.
    Let us know how much your ranger weighs!

    • @4x4CampingandAdventures

    If you haven't got a spot for the ever essential Lifetime Blowmold Trestle Table is it really budget set up? She looks pretty sweet mate!! After 3 4wd wagons (and a Sierra😂) I've now got a ute and after a year trying to fine a cheap alloy tray and canopy i ran out of time 2 weeks out from a trip and settled for a $200 ARB fibreglass canopy and bloody hell i wish i did sooner because its bloody huge in there. I also think portable lithium set ups are the future.

    • @4x4CampingandAdventures
      @4x4CampingandAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m hoping the dust kit I got for the back does a good job for the $100 I paid for it we have definitely covered all the other holes when we installed the canopy! Here is hoping though

    • @rich7447
      @rich7447 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are designed to be open, so lots of holes to allow water to drain. You can seal them and install a good tailgate gap solution (like the tailgate defender - only for F150 unfortunately, but there are other solutions for other trucks).

    • @tyzon00800
      @tyzon00800 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The canopy must have a vent on the top middle front open when travelling, canopy is pressurised by the wind no dust
      Check out the arb accent canopy vent on top , easy

    That’s not how to set up ute let Marine ply across top of tub. Fridge n slide like yours. Cut hole for fridge n marine ply cover where fridge is. Marine ply to separate fridge under ply and support. I have x3 40lt tubs for short trips and full length draw on Teflon slides and every ute must have full width stainless plate across top of tailgate. 100ah allspark lithium sits on top of wheel well n usual 12v goodies
    It’s been in 2 utes since 2007. And been everywhere
    Does not have huge area above for crap to fly around in and couple oats draws above fridge for x5 peoples plates knives cups s&p blahh blahh…about 300$ back in the day plus fridge battery etc..agm batteries never again.😂
