Oh it is! I think of these experiences as making a "deposit" in the memory bank of life, that will be there in old age when I may not be able to travel, I can make "a withdrawal" and cherish these sweet and lasting memories!
Beth, I am completely overwhelmed at seeing this exquisite school…the food, the beautiful country, the gorgeous buildings and landscapes. I actually became so emotional at seeing all of this. Your videos have taken me places I otherwise would never see in such an up close and personal way. I can’t thank you enough for all of your videos and taking us along. The food and experiences cooking are a a dream come true. So great that you and your daughters could make this fabulous trip. I absolutely loved it. I have to admit, this is by far is my favorite. I 've traveled to Italy, but unfortunately as much as I love to cook, I was not able to go to Tuscany, I had to care for my Mother, and from then I have not returned to Italy. I love the Italians their style, their hospitality, the beauty of their country sides but mostly their food and wines 🍷. Your very fortunate to have a beautiful family 👪 who shares also your love for cooking and travel. May God, continue to bless you and your family.

This was like a dream , thank you so much for sharing your wonderful trip to this beautiful area of Italy and this magical cooking school. I must go with my daughter and granddaughter . I have to say my eyes teared up when I saw the pizza dough preparation, my Italian grandmother lived with us, every Friday night she made pizza and this is exactly how we made the dough right on the counter, she would make a well in the center and slowly incorporate the ingredients. She always included me. Friday eve my parents grocery shopped so she would do this earlier , while watching the 5 of us. She was the sweetest, loveliest person.

How true. During the pandemic I made pizza every Friday night and in my heart she was right there with me. This is why I love your channel . Not only are the recipes delicious and simple but your sense of love and thoughtfulness for family and friends is apparent.

What an amazing experience, on my bucket list is to visit Tuscany, my Uncle was stationed in Italy just after the war, he spoke fluent Italian and taught my sister and I how to make real spaghetti bolognese with the long, long spaghetti - so I’ve always had an infinity with Italy thanks to him.
I never wanted to go to Italy till now lol. At first I was wondering why you were documenting the train there but now I understand as you have such appreciation for every part of the journey and such a good way of highlighting the beauty of each part. I smiled and laughed harder than I would watching a comedy, because this brought me so much joy. Thank you for sharing this experience with us, especially in the immersive way you did. 💖

What a fabulous trip with your daughters! I know that feeling of needing to take that final trip before a huge milestone! My trip with my daughter was in her Freshman year of college, planned when she graduated from HS and I realized she might or might not want to do a "family" trip again. Anyway, that was a marvelous vlog! You really made us feel like we were traveling with you. Just the perfect amount of detail to give us the full flavor and feeling of being a member of your travel party! I enjoyed every minute - the trains, the luggage 😂, the drives and the fantastic school. All just like a dream come true! What perfect accommodations and it seemed you always had the pool to yourselves! Oh, and loved the truffle dog! I keep telling my friend ↖️ who likes to dig for mushrooms that haven't yet pushed up through the pine straw in our yard that he needs to try his luck at finding truffles and earn his keep! He'd not settle for a treat instead, though. The boy likes his fungus! Can't wait for Paris with your sister and nephew, then "home" to Saint Gilles-Croix de Vie! ❤

On my last trip to Italy, I discovered there is luggage storage between seats that have their backs to each other, in other words the seats form a triangle thus allowing a suitcase to fit nicely on its side. 😊

Beth there are NO words about this whole trip…time with your daughters, cooking school…everything was beautiful. You are crazy skilled in video taping! The chef was super gracious, just like you…always generous with your experiences. Thank you for all the tips…yes I got the memo - NO LARGE AMERICAN STYLE BAGS. I learned this this hard way when we took a family cruise with our 4 kids to 4 countries and they all made fun of the 6 of us that had a total of 18 bags. We always had to hire a separate car for the bags. As SOON AS I RETURNED HOME TO THE STATES, I bought the same bag for all of us and made the rule that if it doesn’t fit in that, it does not go!!! As my children finished college and started studying and living abroad they have adhered to that rule - except that one kid that took 3 lg suitcases when she moved to Paris. I thought I was going to die - lugging that around and getting stared at😂
Lol! Oh, I love that so much! Same bag for everyone! Well, I have now left two suitcases there at the French house. I have plenty of clothes for summer. I am never going through that again. Ha ha ha! Next year I am just bringing a backpack with toiletries end of story.!

And now I have booked a trip for 2 nights in Milan, staying at the Matilde Boutique Hotel. Then on to Anghiari to stay with friends overnight, then on to the Tuscookany Cooking school. I couldn’t resist especially thinking about the story I have from good authority, that beginning in 2024, everyone coming into Italy will now have to have a VISA. Ciao Beth, Yes, I made sure I would be at Torre del Tartufo as you and your girls did. Lena from Tuscookany was so sweet and will pick me up at Osteria del Baffo. She insisted that I should not stay in Anghiari, then go back to Arezzo, only to drive thru Anghiari and on to Torre del Tartufo. So kind❣️

The chef was super gracious, just like you…always generous with your experiences. Thank you for all the tips…yes I got the memo - NO LARGE AMERICAN STYLE BAGS. I learned this this hard way when we took a family cruise with our 4 kids to 4 countries and they all made fun of the 6 of us that had a total of 18 bags. We always had to hire a separate car for the bags. As SOON AS I RETURNED HOME TO THE STATES, I bought the same bag for all of us and made the rule that if it doesn’t fit in that, it does not go!!! As my children finished college and started studying and living abroad they have adhered to that rule - except that one kid that took 3 lg suitcases when she moved to Paris. I thought I was going to die - lugging that around and getting stared at😂
Lol! Oh, I love that so much! Same bag for everyone! Well, I have now left two suitcases there at the French house. I have plenty of clothes for summer. I am never going through that again. Ha ha ha! Next year I am just bringing a backpack with toiletries end of story.!

And now I have booked a trip for 2 nights in Milan, staying at the Matilde Boutique Hotel. Then on to Anghiari to stay with friends overnight, then on to the Tuscookany Cooking school. I couldn’t resist especially thinking about the story I have from good authority, that beginning in 2024, everyone coming into Italy will now have to have a VISA. Ciao Beth, Yes, I made sure I would be at Torre del Tartufo as you and your girls did. Lena from Tuscookany was so sweet and will pick me up at Osteria del Baffo. She insisted that I should not stay in Anghiari, then go back to Arezzo, only to drive thru Anghiari and on to Torre del Tartufo. So kind❣️

Also, they can book massages and that is a very welcomed treat after traveling so far puts you right into the relaxation mood. Ha ha ha!
