Calm and enjoyable comparison. Subbed right after the Lee stage press. I was pondering what to get with similar ergos, was at a fair and several days came to the same booth of KMR. What if a S2 Compact was slightly longer, full steel, moving ring bushing, safety further up, no broken trs, no broken slide stops, aggressive hand filling grips, weight reduced, balanced for idpa for the price of 2. The trigger replacement video was quite nice too. Did you have a dedicated roll pin punch when that little thing came off? Now with the cold of winter I almost need a bit stronger recoil spring than 13lbs. Is there a balance to the choice of the hammer spring to recoil feel resetting the hammer? Going lighter is less pull weight but more recoil. Went down from 4,5kg DA to about 2,2kg. I could deal with a bit more like on the S2 as well.
I use a starter punch to break the pins loose. I balance the recoil spring on how much "nose dive" I get when the slide returns to battery. The hammer spring I go as light as possible that gives reliable ignition.
The CZ 75 Shadow 2 Orange is on sale at Safari Outdoor for R 65 599, which equates to about $ 3,470! Its still basically the same pistol as my first iteration model, made in 1978, out of the first shipment to land in SA. It cost me R 263.15 in 1979, staff price (landed cost + 15%).
I just ordered a TS2 after going back and forth on this, the Shadow 2 the place I'm getting it from is the optics ready version and there was only a 99 cent difference in price currently and the TS2 currently has a $100 rebate. Could use that to buy another magazine or two.
What is the difference between the blue versions of the above guns and the orange versions? (I know the orange versions are significantly more expensive, but I don't know what functional or operational differences are.)
The Orange series is CZ's top tier pistols and they are hand fitted. In the S2, the Orange has a barrel bushing. In the TS2, the Orange has a bull barrel, a thumb rest (gas pedal), an aluminum trigger and an adjustable rear sight.
Man, that is a tough question. Yes it can be used for self defense. But the TS is big and heavy, with no firing block safety. What type of self defense are you talking about? Home defense? Carry? Truck gun? All of this can/will affect your choice. There are a bunch of 40S&W pistols out there to choose from and with 40 suddenly falling out of favor, some used guns can be had at pretty good prices. If it is the CZ75 platform you like, look at the CZ75B in 40S&W.
40S&W has fallen out of favor for no real reason. As soon as the police agencies abandoned it, so did the civilians. The only thing that's keeping it alive is USPSA and IPSC, where it is the preferred caliber for Limited and Standard divisions.
very good comparison
I have urban grey shadow 2, and will soon open the box of the TS 2 orange with bull barrel
CZ75, my favorite platform of all. Well done on getting the TS2 Orange.

Those first gen (pre 1980) CZs are really something special. They are really valuable here in the US.
I picked up a TS2 orange in .40sw for limited major a couple months ago. It's so soft shooting in 40 i can't even imagine it in 9.
It shoots very flat in 9, but it is heavy.

Very informative video, thanks.
TS2. Sold my S2. Still miss it though. Bad Mistake. New prescriber. Keep it up.
I agree. I don't have a S2. I shoot Limited in USPSA and I use to shoot Standard in IPSC. That is where the TS2 shines.
I own 2 shadow 2, and saving some money to get TS2. After that I stop buying guns.
Every one I buy is the last one before the next one.
Yeah yeah yeah lol
I've got my CZ Shadow 2
I hope to stop buying...but I'm divorced so...at least no women can tell me $#!t
Do you think the TS2 in 40 cal can be used for self defense? If not which 40 s&w do you suggest?

@@ThrowingCopperCRA-2022 Thanks for the information!
@@ThrowingCopperCRA-2022 Do you think the ts2 would work for home defense or a truck gun? The trigger and capacity are attracting me.
@@kurt31451 If you got good trigger discipline, by all means. They are incredibly accurate and reliable, but that trigger is also incredibly light.
@@ThrowingCopperCRA-2022 ok, thanks.
Is anything still targeted at the .40 SW nowadays?

Because it’s a shittier version of 9mm 😂
I love them both
What's not to love?
These or a Springfield Operator 1911 🤔
Get them all.😃
@@ThrowingCopperCRA-2022 they are all so good looking
CZ TS2 flicks all other guns like a dried booger
😂 I have to agree.
