I've created this to record projects that I work on and find interesting. Please share with anybody who have similar interests; firearms, shooting sports and related activities and gear.
A lot of the footage is old and not necessarily filmed in the right orientation or clarity, for which I apologies, but it will get better as I go forward.

Cool. FAL VS FAL. HI POWER VS HOGH POWER. Falklands War.
Nice! That rifle will take down small, and good size game!
Thank you. This worked perfectly.
Porque motivo no queda cortado cuando se dispara ayquebolber acortarlo sube el tiro pero no queda cortado
It turned out great.
Nice job
The barrel nut is 3/4 open end wrench. Have a good one and May God bless y'all.
Thanks for showing me how to install the Apex trigger. You are good at explaining stuff in detail, but I probably will have to watch your video another 10 times to put mine end. Thanks
You are welcome. Thanks for watching and for the positive comment.
Hello,I recommend the next upgrade is the landon tactical trigger bar & 13 pound hammer spring. Good day.
Amazing rifle! Its so interesting that the evolution of the German and Dutch Jaeger rifle took two different paths during the 1700's. In my country of the US the style changed to the American longrifle where the caliber went up to only .45 in order to carry more lead and for smaller game like squirrels to whitetail deer to black bears. While your ancestors made their guns much larger to hunt African big game. American longrifles may also bear a "hunter's star" but its inlet into the butt stock (either brass or silver). We also call rings on the barrel "wedding bands" just the same. Would love to one day own a working reproduction of the Boer rifle one day.
Those replicas are quit affordable in SA and really easy to import into the US as they are not regulated in both countries. Mine came in without a glitch. Contact Classic Arms in Witbank. classicarms.co.za/ They might even be able to hook you up with an original one. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Pretty much to conceal!
Thank you for this.
Good looking gun
I have a pistol like that minus the engraving just stock field grade 9mm. Shoots great
The one who came up with this is a brilliant engineer.👍
It helps a lot. I have this kit and have not installed it. I've had it for about 20 years, lol. I just never took the time to sit down and work on it. With your video perhaps I can put it in and get a bit better trigger on my rifle. Thanks.
The SA35's slide and frame were only forged in turkey. It' machined and built in the USA.
You make it look easy
Will an after market 3 position Winchester style bolt shroud "for 98 mausers" & a timeny trigger/ aftermarket fit that , to further improve it , a friend of mine may be selling his soon
I cannot say for sure, however I think it can be made to work with some hand fitting.
Looks great with out a billboard on the sides. Would be killer if it were blued.
I've used 35 in lbs on my browning a bolt in 7mm rem mag and I have had great accuracy and consistency
You should have also replaced the Lifter which goes with a new style Feed Ramp. That Mainspring is something I also change, along with the Buffer on those older guns.
Correction. Made in Germany. Imported by ATI
Impressive, that worked really well!
what would be a way to install the trigger on the trigger bar without a vice?
It did come out good
When you cook off the metal are you just boiling it in water?
Correct. I boiled it in distilled water for an hour.
@ThrowingCopperCRA-2022 thanks for your reply.
What kind of vessel or sauce pan are using to boil the distilled water and firearm? Also, what kind or manufacturer of oil did you leave it soaking for about a week? Thank you!
@@hb5914 I use a 4" stainless pipe that I welded an end cap on. I hang it over a propane burner. Smaller items I place in a stainless steel pot.
@@ThrowingCopperCRA-2022 Damn. A 4" stainless pipe at 3' to 4' long isn't cheap BUT I may buy a pipe and try this method on an old Remington Model 1900 SxS that I just inherited after sitting for 10 years in a dusty, dirty and sort of damp then dry room. The old double barrel was taken care of before that 10 year period by the guy that owned the SxS but he died and 10 years later the lady of the house, his wife decided that those guns stuffed into a room for 10 years was just going to waste and then she contacted me . I figure that I can use this "Cooking" method on the action/block/receiver and trigger guard but I will have to figure something up for doing the barrels by hand. I am not really familiar with old side by sides but I know the barrels are soldered together and figure the cooking process may really mess the barrels up I also noticed a damascus pattern, like some kind of finish was put on the barrels. At first I thought that the old Remington 1900 is so old that the barrels may actually be damascus steel but when I removed the forearm the steel/barrels under the forearm were shiny, smooth and had no indication at all that the barrels were actually damascus It has been a freezing and windy winter so far in Ohio so it will be awhile until I get the stainless pipe and piece of stainless plate to weld a bottom on the tube so I am PLANNING on finding out as much as I can on this shotgun and the Remington 582 and Savage Model 5 that I inherited as all 3 need some TLC applied to them The 1900 has a crack in the stock where someone put a 1/4-20 bolt through the stock, up by the receiver tang, probably to tighten the stock to steel fit but in doing so it created a crack from stress and maybe someone actually shooting the thing? My buddy who is a friggin genius with wood and wood on guns said he would fix the crack for me and I told him GREAT but I also told him that this Model 1900 is the proverbial "Wall Hanger" so being super strong isn't an issue because this SxS will never be shot again and at that my buddy replied with "I don't know how to make the wood I touch or the furniture that I make anything BUT super strong". I then told my buddy that I would have the old SxS at his house no later than April or May 2025 as long as my cancer stays in the "Disappeared" stage and the 8 weeks of chemo and daily radiation doesn't make me any weaker or outright kill me. Hopefully the cancer stays away, I keep getting stronger and end up with a nice looking old SxS to hang on my wall. My wife said we now need a fireplace in the living room to hang the gun over. I told her that we will just stick with the wood burner in the basement and I subscribed
I bought a similar trigger for mine from Cajun Gun Works.
I like the stuff from Cajun.
Good video thank you.
Thanks for watching.
Well, that would have taken me about a week....
Hello, I recently bought a Centurion 14, its a nicely fit and finished gun but i've been having problems with ejection and ftf. The gun tends to jam with a spent casing and a live round jammed into each other and also the last round in the gun fails to eject and it just sits loosely on the mag follower, I can rotate the gun and it will fall out freely. I believe it is an extractor issue, my question is, is this 100% browning parts compatible? I know C&S makes an extractor for the tisas BR-9, i've heard turkish clones have narrower extractor channels, just wanted to be sure i bought the correct part, thanks.
That does sound like an extractor issue. I really do not know how interchangeable the parts are. C&S or BH Spring Solutions might have a write up somewhere about interchangeability. The Tisas extractor will probably fit. I have a strong suspension they are closely related. I could also be a weak extractor spring. Good luck.
Thank you, appreciate your help👍
Works Like zigana m16
Thanks for this info. I have Rock Island ambi safeties. It did not come with the pin. Didn’t know there was a pin. Found the pin on eBay
Thanks for watching.
Never have seen comments of the 742 that didn’t mention “jams” or jammed up..
Dankie
You have to love it when you can improve something by removing parts. Love your videos and I always race to watch them when a new one appears, thanks from Australia.
Thanks for watching.
Good job again
Can you get this is 10 gauge? thanks
Nope, 12ga only.
@@ThrowingCopperCRA-2022 Ok, thanks
I wonder why they named it Centurion 14 or Alpha 14? Do you think maybe because the original Hi Power was a 13 + 1 capacity ?
I don't know and I've wondered myself. I guess Centurion 14 takes the 14 from Alpha 14 and the Centurion from Century (Arms). Where Alpha got the 14 from, I don't know. Maybe 13+1 or maybe they started production in 2014.
Where are you from with that accent?
South Africa originally.
Excellent presentation. Much appreciated. I will subsribe ect. Mark R
Thanks for watching.
I wish new production would bring back the thumb cuts.
Good looking gun
Those are still really nice for the price. Fegs tooling and equipment was bought from FN in Belgium in the early 70s
How long was that slide, 7 inch?
Barrel is 6".
@ it looked longer
When it comes down to it, it’s an SAO vs DA/SA.
F N produced these for the Germans during ww2 the Canadians used there own machinery
John Browning invented the 1893 action design and winchester started shaping to a gun ready for mass production and it released as the Winchester model 1893 and in 1896 it went back to the drawing board and it was released in 1897 as the model 1897 but its the same action design just with a few upgrades over the 93.....John Browning made working proto types and Winchester perfected them and made them ready for mass production.
I hated mine
Understandably
It's actually debatable if one of these really are better than a sharpened stick.
Sharpened stick is definitely more reliable.
