Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan came out in 1965 and was six minutes and thirteen seconds long. Columbia was reluctant to release it because of its length, but a leaked copy made it into the hands of some influential DJs, and their interest in it convinced Columbia to put out the single. It's watching you react to them all in one day that I start to realise JUST how many great songs The Four Seasons had and JUST how many of them are actually some of my fave songs in general. It's like I'm starting to realise while watching Reaction channels just which groups are singing some of my personal favourite songs of all time and with some I literally had no idea who sang them and that some were all sung by the same singer or same group. It's like I'm hearing them and appreciating them all over again and seeking some new singers and new groups out on iTunes to buy their songs after these reactions, because well hey, I already loved them anyway I just didn't know it lol

My sisters got married and moved out when I was 4 years old. This was one of my hand me down 45s from one of them. I played it all through my years, even as a teenager.
    It's just too good!!

The reason for the short songs was radio. The stations wouldn’t play long songs in the late 50s and 60s. If you wanted stations to play your records, you had a 2:30 window for your music. Even the early Beatles music had to fit in the strictures of the AM stations.

Robert Downey Jr and a cast of ghosts sung part of this in one of my favourite movies from the 80's, "Heat and Soul". It's a fantastic movie and we showed it to our kids when they were about 7. They've loved the song ever since and taught it to their friends. Great music (and fun movies) lives on.

Songwriting talent that created songs that could have been made hits by almost anyone; A heavenly voice that could have made a hit from singing the phone book listings; The producing and arranging talent that put it all together = Songs that will out live us all.
Truly classics that will never die. Thank you Frankie for keeping it real all these years. 👏 👍 👏

The retired humor columnist, Dave Barry, had this to say, about this song: "Why don't you SING like a man?!"
Dave Barry frequently poked fun at rock bands, and plays in a band, himself. The band is "The Rock Bottom Remainders". The whole band is composed of writers, and also includes Stephen King. I forget who the others are.
