I was literally thinking about this the other day and was gonna comment a request for this video. I kept thinking about what bag to take and the lockers and everything. Thank you guys so much! You guys are literally the most reliable TH-camrs!

Your guys’ videos are so practical and awesome. Even something so seemingly mundane as lockers is exciting to learn about in advance of our trip! I’m going to feel so prepared when we’re there thanks to The Pugh Two!

@@ThePughTwo I recommend package pickup a lot, but if they're carrying wands, etc, it doesn't make sense, as they will use them throughout the day. This will definitely come in handy.

And can I rent two free lockers or just one? And also the e-tickets are on my phone then how will I scan it to take my stuff back from the locker if my phone is in the locker? Should I print them as well?
The team members at the lockers will have a "locker only" ticket they can give you to use just for the lockers! You can keep them and reuse them all day and even on subsequent days. And yes, each ticket (if printed) would have its own barcode that could be used for a locker.
This is exactly what I was looking for. And a wonderful tip about using your room key and annual pass to get two lockers to use for free. Thank you so much !
You two really do cover all the topics that I wonder about! With this fall being the first time I will be visiting Universal Orlando you have been answering all my questions! One that I have not noticed is if you are in the parks and are recognized, do you mind being approached and asked to take a picture with fans?
We’re so happy that our videos have been helpful! And we don’t mind at all! We usually have stickers or something for people that say hi, so definitely wave us down! We hope you have an awesome time on your upcoming trip!!
Yassssss!!! I have been waiting for this!!! You guys are amazing! You have made planning my vacation 1000x easier and so much more confident that I’ll get the bang for my buck! Thank you!!!
Great info as always! There's also package pick-up for things you buy and don't want to carry. I believe you pick it up at the main Universal store in City Walk now. Just to be clear about Hagrid's: the only way to ride it at this time is thru virtual line?
We love the package pickup! As for Hagrid’s, sometimes it’s virtual line only, sometimes it’s not. You just have to check the app and see! Typically when the parks are really busy they’ll open up the virtual queues to help keep the line reasonable, but if you have early park admission you don’t need a virtual line!
Great tips! So what do you do if your tickets are on your phone and you need it to get back into the locker? How do you keep your phone safe on the ride?
So if your tickets are on your phone, you can get a locker "pass" from one of the attendants at the lockers. the only place you can put your phone is in the lockers, or you can keep them in your pocket on most rides. On the coasters, you must leave everything in the lockers!
I was just talking about this subject to friends. You did an awesome job covering it :) I can now show my friends and you explain it instead of me! Thank you!
It depends the shape of it! I have one that has the little extra pocket on the front and I have to squish it a little to make it fit, which I hate doing. The ones that are totally flat on the front without that extra pocket sticking out fit perfectly!
I'm very familiar with how tiny the free small lockers are and it's the thing I try to explain to new visitors. Seeing Anna put her cup in there really illustrates the point!! I will definitely be pointing people to this video!
They’re small but you can fit a lot of stuff in there if you work at it! Lol we’ve become masters at cramming all our gear into those tiny things. So glad this video provides the perfect visual of just how small they are!
This may be a dumb question, but what do you do if you're not staying on site, and have digital tickets. I assume there's another way to get around this?
Do you guys have any tips for where to store suitcases? We will be at the park all day but with our checkout time we won't have anywhere to keep our luggage. Any tips? Thank you!
We do! All of the onsite hotels have a luggage services counter in the lobby that will hold your luggage on the days you check in and check out. We talk about and show the process in our travel day vlog we did recently!
We were there in June as a family of four. We had a backpack with ponchos, 4 water bottles, 2 wands, glasses cases, tshirts, medication, sun screen, snacks, and a few other things. Without the wands, I would have been able to squeeze everything into one of the free small lockers. Instead, like you recommend, I just had one of my kids scan their pass and we divided the items up among two different lockers. We never paid for a locker at Universal except for Volcano Bay.
You can absolutely make it work as long as you don’t have a bag that’s too big for the small lockers! Our camera bag is a normal sized backpack and it still fits!
Great video! It's fun to see you guys in the parks demonstrating your invaluable tips! We rarely get term-lockers, since we wear cargo shorts and always plan to spend $$$ on water. BUT - When we are entertaining 1st-timers who want to get wet on the water rides, we carry dry shoes & socks in a bag, and start our day at the lockers at River Adventure. We store our 'dry gear' and begin our clockwise park-assault in Hogsmead, saving the water rides for last. We attack the water rides in-a-row. We swap our wet shoes and walk back to the water taxis and return to our rooms. There is nothing worse than walking in wet shoes! I feel it's well worth paying (possibly) $20 to have dry shoes awaiting at the rides' exits!
Hahaha we love that plan! Just pay for the locker all day so you have it when you need it. We shoes are definitely the worst. That’s exactly why we ride river adventure the most out of all the water rides, you can keep your shoes dry!
So we’re heading to Universal in the summer first time for us from the uk, we’re wondering about drinks phones in lines, Are all lockers before the ride line or is there lockers nearer the actual ride so u can have drinks phones while you wait?
That is so exciting! The only locker that is further into the line is Velocicoaster. All of the others are before the queue. You have to put everything in the lockers when you are getting onto a Coaster, but you can take disposable drinks with you as there are trash cans in most ride queues.
@@ThePughTwo Thank you! We are leaving for Disney next week and will be spending one day at Islands of Adventure. Your videos have been so helpful and fun to watch! Can’t wait for our trip! Thanks again! Y’all are awesome!! 🤗
Well, just went and had a fabulous time! Lockers are super easy to use and convenient as you stated! I used the ride lockers throughout the day! Only thing I can say is I wish the areas where the lockers are should be maybe better supervised… I almost got trampled at Gringott’s due to the crowds using them! Otherwise, easy to use!
It can definitely be frustrating with all the people! That’s one reason we love the double sided lockers at the Velocicoaster, it really helps eliminate that issue!
You can actually use anything with a barcode to get a locker. I used a coke bottle last time I was there. So if you need multiple ride lockers just bring extra items with barcodes.
@@ThePughTwo Yes i do. It helps me a lot all your good vibes and your happines. You are making easier to recover from my depression. Thank you guys, you are an inspiration 👊🏻💙
is there a set of family lockers/lockers that are more centrally located in each park? my daughter is diabetic - we can leave her insulin in a locker with the backpack. hoping to not have to walk from one side of the park to another just to grab it when wanting to stop for a bite to eat.
The only all day lockers are in the front of the parks, but we would probably suggest carrying something like that with you in a Fanny pack all day. You can take it on almost all of the rides except the ones that have metal detectors!
Yes! The rides will all have some signage available. The rides that don't allow you to take anything will have metal detectors and you will not be allowed to take anything on these rides aside from like park tickets and eyewear.
Thank you guys for always covering every detail one could worry about prior to their universal vacation! I have a question about scanning your ticket for the free ride lockers. If we bought our tickets as mobile tickets, and we have to put our phone in the locker for the ride.... Is there anyway to print a copy of it ahead of time just for locker use purposes? Will the mobile barcode work printed?
We are so happy that the videos are helpful! So in that situation, one of the attendants will have a stack of locker cards with barcodes on them and you will be able to just get one of those from them to rent a locker!
@@ThePughTwo ahhhh that makes so much sense!! Thank you guys for the speedy and informative response. Im going to universal in april for the first time since 2013!! Re-watching all of your videos now to prepare myself haha.
I really wanted to go but ever since COVID-19 spiked in Orlando I had to set my trip off because of my health conditions what’s the park looking like now?
It’s definitely busy! The team members are still wearing masks for the most part and there are a few people that still choose to wear them inside. They’ve done away with social distancing in lines, though.
Did a reride on hulk before leaving the locker. Forgot about the time limit. Ended up with a balance due but had locked up all forms of payment. Fortunately the locker attendant was helpful and let us off the hook.
Such a good idea to store merchandise in the paid lockers area! A couple years ago, I dragged my buys around the park with me and stuffed them in the free lockers on all the rides. I don't know how I fit everything (a whole throw pillow too!)
Haha that must’ve taken some work! You can also send it to the front of the parks for free, the only issue is potential lines when you pick your stuff up. Either one is better than hauling it around!
@@ThePughTwo For sure! I'm gonna take up on your advice and use them in my upcoming trip. I got tickets for all three parks, including HHN night in October. I cannot wait ❤
What about the lockers for rip ride rocket? I always have trouble with those lockers and even if I don’t have anything with me but my phone they will not let me take my phone and I have to put it in one of those lockers. Do y’all have the same challenge?
Yeah EVERYTHING must go in the lockers at 3 attractions and that is Hulk, Velocicoaster, and Rip Ride. They use metal detectors on all of those rides to make sure for what we would assume is guest safety! Those lockers work the exact same way as all the other lockers for dry rides. Hope this helps!
@@ThePughTwo I have to say I love the lockers at the Velocicoaster the best. So easy and then how cool how you get your things at the opposite side when you get off the ride!!
@@michaelharrison9635 so efficient! It really is somewhat innovative and having it in the queue saves so much room. We can see this system being HEAVILY implemented at Epic Universe because of how successful it has been!
You mentioned that you rode Men In Black twice, if you’re chain riding a ride, is it best to go move your stuff to another locker in between the multiple rides, or is there enough time to re-ride something without going back to the lockers?
We never move our stuff, but we also usually have express passes. We would suggest not leaving your stuff in a locker for more than double the posted standby wait time. If you’re concerned about it, you could always ask a team member!
Absolutely! Tyler and I get more than one a piece sometimes. You can get one for every ticket with a barcode that you have so if you have a park ticket and a hotel room key, you can get two!
To avoid paying a charge for the wet ride lockers, would I be able to put my stuff in a nearby dry ride that offers free lockers? What is the closest dry ride to the wet rides?
We guess you could theoretically do this, but we would advise against it because of the wait times not lining up. When you rent a locker they know the wait time of when you rented it! If you don’t get your stuff out of the lockers in time, they will charge you anyways for the storage.
Does the interactive wand/wand box fit in the ride lockers? I’m going with a Fanny pack, so I’ll be holding my wand in my hands as I go, and will need to put it in a locker. Does that work? Thanks for all the videos!
The wands are all different lengths, but we’ve never had an issue with our wand/box fitting. If you’re staying on-site, you can have the box sent back to your hotel for you to pick up later and just carry the wand around the parks, though! And the team members in Ollivanders should be able to inform you about which wands (if any) won’t fit in the free lockers!
Unfortunately, no. You can rent a specific locker at the front of the park for the day or you can rent ride lockers individually for a short amount of time.
I was at Universal last week. I don't recall seeing any free lockers. Are they near rides like The Hulk which doesn't allow you to bring anything on the ride?
They are! With the Hulk, they’re over to the right when you walk up. The free ones are the much smaller lockers while the bigger ones you have to pay for.
Hii Thank you for all the information, we are going to universal studios this is our first time and your videos are helping us for everything we think of. If you can plz make video on photo pass , do we have to purchase photo pass ? We went to Disney couple of times and bought memory maker but not really happy because it’s always so busy and we hardly get our turn . So making sure that is it the same way at universal studios Should we buy or not ? If you can plz make video on that Really appreciate! And you both look so cute together ❤️ And love the way your wife always give that cute smile She has a beautiful smile ❤️
Hi Monika, we’re so glad our videos have been helpful! We’ve actually never done the photo pass ourselves, but our understanding is that wherever you see photographers throughout the parks they can take your picture and it’ll get linked to your app. This also applies to ride photos, I believe. We’ll look into it! And thank you for your kind words!
Great video guys! I was there a month ago and we rented one of the lockers in Jurassic River to store our stuff, but later we buy some merchandise and we couldn’t store it in there because once you open it you have to take everything out and rent it again. Do you know if the daily lockers in the front of the park work in the same way? Or you can open them multiple times?
The daily lockers are just that! You rent them for the entire day so you can reopen them to access your things. The ride lockers are just meant to be used while you’re on the rides themselves!
Thanks! It was my first visit so I guess I used the wrong lockers ☹️. (I thought you could rent those for the day) That’s why your video is really helpful, now I know better for the next time.
Perfect timing on making this video. My sister said the free style cups wouldn’t fit in the free locker after I told her I’m going to buy a cup when I get there. I said yes it will. You proved her wrong hehe 🙃 and I just sent her a link to your video to prove it. Love your videos ❤️
Haha it’s a really tight fit, but it goes! That’d be so upsetting if it didn’t. Glad we could help argue your case! 😂 we hope you have a great time on your trip!!
We’ve never been to the Hollywood parks, but we’ve heard they’re pretty different! Apparently Orlando is quite a bit bigger. It’s definitely a personal preference on whether it’s worth it, though!
I remember when I went to universal Orlando in 2019, I was able to fit a disposable cup full of butterbeer in the lockers at the mummy ride! I am sure the disposable cup is taller than the width of your refillable cup too. Did they change the size of the locker since then?
They have changed some of the free lockers! You definitely couldn’t fit a butterbeer in them now. The last larger free lockers that we remember were at HP and the forbidden journey, and those were replaced in the last year or two!
@@ThePughTwo I am so glad I watched your video on the lockers because now I know not to bring my thicker backpack that will match my Harry Potter robe. Do you think that it is cool enough to wear the robes for the last week of October to early November? That’s when I am going to be visiting.
If u only bring, let’s say a Fanny pack, which thrill rides are they allowed on without putting into a locker? What are the biggest dimensions? Is there a certain way you have to wear it, around your waist, across your chest? Thanks Tyler and Anna
The only rides are Velocicoaster, Hulk, and Rip Ride Rock it. Also keep in mind they want it around your waist and tucked to your side. Also they require the Fanny packs have three prongs!
That’s just for one locker, but unless you’re purposefully leaving your stuff in a locker all day, you really shouldn’t incur any charges. We never have!
THANKS so much! I was stressing about how the lockers work because last time we used lockers was at seaworld and it was a disaster (the sun shines on the readouts and you can't read anything, etc). We are so used to not needing a locker at Disney, so thanks so much! this does not look that hard at all. QUESTION: is there ever a time when there are no lockers available?
Hey T Lee! We are so happy to hear that the video was helpful! We are very happy to say that they are very simple to use at Universal Orlando! We have been on some of the busiest days ever, and lockers were not an issue. They get crowded and its uncomfortable to be in the locker area on EXTREMELY busy days, but they should not run out of lockers! Thank you for watching!
I was literally stressing about this today!! And this video popped up WOW perfect timing! I didn’t know if I could fit the stuff I wanted to go with into a free locker but now I know what to go with and what not, thank you!
They do on most rides. You still have to get a locker for the coasters like Hulk, Rip Ride, and Velocicoaster. We have to carry so much equipment anymore we just usually have a couple backpacks but yes we used to use one all the time!
I just leave my stuff in a stroller and park it all day at one of the rides. Never had a problem. I usually don’t leave anything of value in case anything is swiped. Been doing that for years. I’ve even taken a stroller childless just for that purpose.
i got back from universal studios resort on friday! and aw man those lockers are useful! a little off topic but i went on velocicoaster front seat with my hands up the entire time, im very glad i did that on the last day lol
I think I did something wrong. I rented a $10 locker, thinking I could go in and out of it all day. When we went back to open it, it seemed like it was telling us to take everything out, like it was done. Maybe I was at the wrong lockers or I misunderstood and I could have closed and reused it. I was confused. We kept our dry clothes in it on the day we did all the water rides.
@@patrinker2666 it sounds like you were at the all day lockers! That’s interesting, we’ve never rented them but the signs clearly said it’s a daily rental. It would kind of ruin the point if it’s a one time in and out! That does sound expensive for Hershey park, that’s more what we expected the prices to be at Universal so we were pleasantly surprised!
My husband had a brand new hat ruined when someone put a full cup of orange soda in the free lockers at MIB. Please people empty the refillable cups. They are not water tight.

😂😂 that’s crazy! Someone else said they saw someone use their ID to get a locker. Whatever works!
You mentioned the day long lockers inside the entrance of Studios. Is there the same type of option inside the entrance of Islands?
Yes! We lost that footage somehow, but in both parks are exactly to the left of the entrance when you walk in!
I just love all your advices... Thank you
We’re so happy you’re enjoying our videos!
Do the lockers work on Universal's HHN nights when rides are running at night? Do the regular tickets work as well or do we need annual passes?
Absolutely! And any ticket will work!
Can you bring a cooler to Universal and would a small one fit in the lockers?
The lockers are pretty small for a cooler. We have seen people with coolers, but we can't think of one that would fit in the lockers.
How do you access the locker if you used a mobile ticket to get into the park, but are putting your phone in the locker???
They’ll give you a locker only ticket that you can use!
Hi, thanks for the informative video. Just want to know if you stay at one of the universal resorts, do you get a free pass for bigger lockers?
There is currently no resort that offers passes for the bigger lockers! Thanks for watching!
We have tickets on mobile device ( iPhone) if you can’t take them on ride how do you open locker ?
They will give you a ticket to use to access a locker when you enter if you need one!!
@@ThePughTwo thanks.
Do the rides that will not allow you to take any items on them have that info posted? I know some will allow small bags or fanny packs.
Yes! The rides will all have some signage available. The rides that don't allow you to take anything will have metal detectors and you will not be allowed to take anything on these rides aside from like park tickets and eyewear.
Thank you! I know you covered which rides do what, but I just wanted to make sure.
@@jessicacorvi8514 Anytime! Thanks for watching!
@@Kattatomic we hope you have an amazing trip!
We have done rerides and we have luckily never had that happen! That was nice of the attendant!
Is Aventura a nice place to stay at universal resorts
We honestly enjoy each and every one of their hotels at Universal! They are all super nice!
What if I have the mobile tickets will I be able to use these lockers?
Yes you can still use them, there will be attendants around that can give you cards to use the lockers with!
@@ThePughTwo oh that’s great! Thanks!
Absolutely!
@@woodward_m8594 we hope you have an awesome time in the parks and enjoy HHN!
So excited for this video
We’re excited for you all to see it!
I was going to ask, We can use one for each ticket for each member of my family?
@@ThePughTwo thank you for the thorough response!! This helps me a lot with my planning!! ❤️
I have my ticket in the wallet on the Universal App. How do I use a locker in this case? Since there's no barcode to scan, only the QR code.
You’ll have to ask for a locker ticket and they’ll give you a little ticket that just has a barcode for the lockers!
How do you pay for them?
You can use a card or cash!
@@ThePughTwo but you need to have that cash or card on you not in the locker right?
Hello. Can you purchase a locker for the day and use different lockers throughout the park with that daily fee?
Unfortunately, no. You can rent a specific locker at the front of the park for the day or you can rent ride lockers individually for a short amount of time.
@@ThePughTwo Thanks. We're visiting Universal for the 1st time in many years and your channel has been my go to for info.

quick question what if you are going on a ride that is running 120 minutes long, will you charged extra or do they take that into account
They take that into account! You just get charged if you run off for 3-4 hours and leave your items in there.
thanks guys, love your videos by the way@@ThePughTwo
@@starstewart5802 thank you so much! We’re always happy to help!
Hii
Thank you for all the information, we are going to universal studios this is our first time and your videos are helping us for everything we think of.
If you can plz make video on photo pass , do we have to purchase photo pass ? We went to Disney couple of times and bought memory maker but not really happy because it’s always so busy and we hardly get our turn .
So making sure that is it the same way at universal studios
Should we buy or not ?
If you can plz make video on that
Really appreciate!
And you both look so cute together ❤️
And love the way your wife always give that cute smile
She has a beautiful smile ❤️
@@anniehdez6102 haha it can be confusing!
do certain rides forbid you from taking items on them? wallet, phone, sunglasses pass/room key
Yes, certain rides have very strict rules about what can be taken on them. We actually have a video covering that as well!
As a California resident is universal studios Orlando worth the trip ? I’ve been to the Hollywood park many of times.
We’ve never been to the Hollywood parks, but we’ve heard they’re pretty different! Apparently Orlando is quite a bit bigger. It’s definitely a personal preference on whether it’s worth it, though!
Have you ever done Christmas at the park? We are going this year.
We have never been ON Christmas Day but we have been the week before and had a blast! Christmas in the parks sounds amazing!
Thank you! A great video!
We’re so glad you enjoyed it!!
Is there an option where all day I can move from locker to locker? If not, wouldn't that be great though?!?
That’s kind of how the free lockers work! Lol you just rent it while you need it and then move on!

Ooooo is that a new logo?!
Haha it is! Thank you for noticing! Lol
When you say max $20/day. Is that just for one locker? or your charges accumulated over the day?
That’s just for one locker, but unless you’re purposefully leaving your stuff in a locker all day, you really shouldn’t incur any charges. We never have!
i would like to take this moment to say... Rubber Ducky.... that is all... continue with your day folks!
What EXACTLY is the function of a rubber duck??
@@ThePughTwo That is literally the Harry Potter version of how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop lol
We’re so happy we could help! We hope you have an awesome time in the parks!
I've never seen y'all with a fanny pack in the videos, but do they allow them on most rides?
They do on most rides. You still have to get a locker for the coasters like Hulk, Rip Ride, and Velocicoaster. We have to carry so much equipment anymore we just usually have a couple backpacks but yes we used to use one all the time!
@@ThePughTwo awesome, thanks for the reply! 💖

I just leave my stuff in a stroller and park it all day at one of the rides. Never had a problem. I usually don’t leave anything of value in case anything is swiped. Been doing that for years. I’ve even taken a stroller childless just for that purpose.
Wow! We have never even thought of that and thats actually hilariously clever!
i got back from universal studios resort on friday! and aw man those lockers are useful! a little off topic but i went on velocicoaster front seat with my hands up the entire time, im very glad i did that on the last day lol

Hmmm yeah the only all day lockers to our knowledge are at the front of the parks. Do you recall where you purchased this locker?
@@ThePughTwo IOA. Toward the front on the left as you enter.

@@patrinker2666 it sounds like you were at the all day lockers! That’s interesting, we’ve never rented them but the signs clearly said it’s a daily rental.
