YAY!!! We’ve waited a similar amount of time for Hagrids and it was worth every second. We are so happy to hear you are going back! What’s the first thing you’re riding?
Being seniors, we have the luxury of visiting at our leisure, so we visit during "slow" periods, which are listed on a free calendar at Orlando Informer's website. And even then, we always have ExpressPasses. Sometimes on really slow days, we wait in standby only to see the pre-shows. Skull Island's animatronic in the queue is amazing! Thanks for the video and for making me smile really big!
Thats probably the way to do it honestly and having an express pass is always a plus. We do the same thing with the standby lines! You've been so consistent and we truly appreciate it!

Four weeks from today I'll be living in Orlando ~10-15 mins from Universal. Getting a premier pass pretty much for the after 4 express. Being so close I'm sure I'll wear it out being I hate waiting in lines!
We found the wait times were accurate or a little less. We definitely seen low wait times spike. I'm sure others seen a low wait time and raced to the ride. Always love your videos.
Thank you so much! There have been so many times we see a short wait, and then rush to the ride only to be met with a wait time that was at least double what we had previously seen!
The longest wait time I'll do depends on if I've been on the ride before or not and how excited I am for it, plus the temperature and if the line seems to be indoors or mostly outdoors. 2 hours would probably be the max for a cooler day or an indoor queue, but on a hot day with no shade in line, it'd be way lower.
Thank you for the tip I'll be going to Universal at the end of April for My End of the Year Senior Year Trip and this helps to Calculate When to go ride the rides and How long It could take and I'm excited
That sound byte you were able to grab from the RRR was great! 🤣 They really should let you wear a motorcycle helmet on that ride. Ouch! 🤣 Also, on a sidenote: That big scary number just happens to be my favorite number. 😜
We wish that was possible, but unfortunately we’re not locals and aren’t down there ride now. But we’d love to say hello, so if you ever see us in the parks make sure you say hi!
Thats so exciting! We are jealous but also excited to hear about your trip! If you have any questions or need anything while you are there please be sure to reach out!
We just went this weekend and noticed that the wait times were a lot shorter than what's actually posted. We had a blast. We also did Valcano Bay. But it was wayyy to busy. Can't wait to go in a different month that isn't so busy
We can imagine that Volcano Bay is the place to be right now! Lol we’re so glad you had a great time in the parks. We can see why they do it, but Universal definitely has a tendency to overestimate the wait times!
Not in this one! We have a similar video where we do use express. This is just comparing what the wait time says to how long we actually waited in the queue.
We just got home from our trip! Poseidon's adventure was closed, seemed permanent. That whole space around it almost seems like a waste of space without it now, but besides that we loved the rest of the park.
I waited like 3 hours to get on Kingda Ka (six flags great adventure) for the first time! Definitely worth the wait to experience a new ride, but I wouldn't wait that long for something I've been on before
Wow some of the rides some are long others are not I just love watching y'all videos I know that when maybe next year around Feb or June if I do see you all I will definitely take a pic with you all if that's ok
Absolutely! If you see us, come say hi! The wait times definitely vary from ride to ride, and the actual wait times do too apparently lol We hope you have a great time on your upcoming trips!
Hm... We went to Universal Hollywood like 5 years ago and I swear we waited 2 hours for Forbidden Journey. Also, if you ever get the chance to go to the one in Hollywood, the studio tour is by far the best thing about that park! We drove right by a hot set where they were filming The Good Place and I am so upset that I didn't know what that was at the time!
We were just at Disneyland. We had stopped with the kids for a snack break, and I saw a 20 minute wait at Peter Pan. I told my husband, who is 110% a slow poke and never in a rush. He grabbed everything SO FAST and rushed us over to get in line....I don't think I've ever been so turned on. I told him I fully expect that kind of commitment at Universal this year.
😂😂😂 we love it, that’s great. As some one who is the complete opposite of a slow poke, I get it! Maybe if you let him read this comment it might motivate him to get a move on it. We hope you and your family have an awesome time on your upcoming Universal trip!
I imagine that the wait times are intentionally raised a little for psychological reasons. If you get in a queue and see 45 minutes, but it's actually 27, then you'll be thinking more positively about the wait.
Oh absolutely! If you have to wait longer than it says, you’re going to be upset but if you get done in less time you’ll be pleasantly surprised. We fully expected to see this trend, but we wanted to show it for people that might avoid a ride because of what the posted time is.
The park hasn't hit capacity since April.. and we arent sure how to take that. The parks are busier than ever so we assume it means they are back at full capacity!
The big scary number you posted in this video was hilarious.... Also i will wait a long time but express and orlando informer events have spoiled me..plus rope dropping. So i dont like to wait as long as i used to. Spoiled i guess
@ThePughTwo yeah i kinda realized that in commenting. Like yall would have no clue. Hopefully doesn't bother ypu me watching old videos...bored at 3am in my patrol car....
I was at the park today 7/26 and w/o express I was able to get on just about every ride except for minions and Rip Ride. The actual wait times was significantly less or just under the posted time. I did all of Island of adventure under 3hrs and this was around 9am-12pm
Also I should mention after I got off the ride the wait time shot up from like a 15 min wait to 60. Going after the popular rides with the lowest wait times in the beginning really worked out in our favor because the other Attractions times went down throughout the day as the popular ones rises.
That’s great to hear! You can definitely get a lot done in a day without express pass if you’re strategic about it. It sounds like you had an awesome time in the parks! If you get a chance, we definitely recommend rip ride though. It’s awesome!
Those waits don’t seem bad to me. My home park, Cedar Point, normally has 2-3 hour waits for a coaster. Can’t wait to come to Universal and have express pass!
Explain express pass we booked at universal hotel and get the express passes. Are these general wait times. What are express pass wait times? We only have one day for 2 parks but kids aren’t coming.
We have a video about express passes and we actually have another video comparing normal wait times to express pass wait times! You should be able to ride everything with an express pass. It will be hard to do in one day, but we think you can do it!
We noticed at Disneyland that the Rise of Resistance times were inflated. It's about a 20 minute experience from the first preshow to disembarking. Each time we rode it over 3 trips we were on and off the attraction in less time than the posted wait. Over inflating times by 20 to 30 minutes helps keep guests happy in the event of a delay. No one is upset when their wait is short, but people do not like waiting longer than they were told.
We are actually not there at the moment! We will be back in September! If you ever see us, we would love to say hello! We are excited to hear about your first trip and we hope you have an AMAZING time!
Hello so I’m going to universal studios on Wednesday … and I want to know should I get there as soon as they open to avoid the long security line ? And I wanted to know about the two rides that don’t have express passes .. should I get on those two rides as soon as I get into the park to beat the long wait times ?
We always recommend getting to the parks as soon as possible, especially if you are wanting to do as much as possible! Hagrids and Velocicoaster are the rides you are referring to and getting there early CAN help with those lines! Are you staying on site or do you have an Annual Pass?
I got Uni Unlimited Express Pass for my upcoming trip because I no longer have to patience to wait in long lines...I'd rather spend my time exploring Wizarding World in detail than in line!
We LOVE the express pass because it does allow you to spend time doing so many other things and enjoying your time at the parks! Hope you have an amazing vacation!
As a general rule, I’ll only wait 1/2 hour, but for our favorites (FJ, Hagrid’s, Velocicoaster, Gringotts), we’ll wait an hour, maybe 90 minutes. We do have the express after 4 with our passes now though, which helps. Our first trip, we stayed at RP and got spoiled with the unlimited express pass. Can’t afford to stay there if we are making multiple trips like this year though.🙁
The premier hotels aren’t cheap, but the express passes are awesome! The express after 4 is better than nothing though lol those are pretty close to our typical thresholds, too!
Posting here again cuz I'm not sure where else to reach out to you guys. XD I know that Hagrid's has the virtual queue which I'm comfortable maneuvering having been introduced to the concept through the new Harry Potter store that opened in NY last month. That being said, does Velocicoaster have a virtual queue option or is it first come first serve? I don't believe it is available for Express Pass yet.
Hey Kaity! You can always find us here, or we have an Instagram and a Twitter as well! Velocicoaster does not have a virtual line right now and neither it or Hagrids has express at the moment!
We got a lot of similar comments on our older videos, so we’ve tried to work on that! I can promise we’ve discussed vaguely what’s going to be said in most takes before we shoot them, so I know he’s coming in to say stuff, he’s not just rudely interrupting! Lol
That was definitely a big, scary, number! I probably wouldn’t wait more than an hour…unless I’ve already done everything I wanted, or it was Velocicoaster. I usually only have 2-2.5 days of park time when I go, so try not to waste it in lines (even though I’m too cheap to pay for an express pass 😜).
Lol glad someone saw the number! Yeah we are the same way about not wanting to wait, except we will wait whatever for Hagrids. We HAVE to ride it every time that we go!
@@mikedittenber5271 we loved the OI meetup last year! Hagrid’s is somehow even better at night so if you haven’t done that, you have it to look forward to!
Today there was a waiting of 180 mins for Harry Potter ride ( Harry Potter & the escape from Gringotts ) , we skipped it today and will go early tomorrow morning
Just make sure you’re comfortable! Whatever that means to you. I typically wear some kind of shorts (athletic, Jean, etc.) and a t-shirt. Moisture wicking fabric is great. Tyler wears a t shirt, shorts (chubbies) and usually a bucket hat. Definitely wear tennis shoes!
When I went to Velocicoaster and Hagrids they both said 75 minutes before 9:00am but they moved pretty quickly and I didn’t feel it! Wound up to be about 30-35 minutes for each! Do not too bad!
It's been a while since I've been to Universal. Do you miss out on the queues if you have an Unlimited Express Pass? I've been on everything several times, but my partner hasn't. I don't want him to miss anything.
You do skip a lot of the queues when you have the express pass, and sometimes the queue is just as good as the ride! To combat that, we will sometimes wait for a shorter wait time on an attraction as just use the standby line instead so we can take in the queues!
@@ThePughTwo Thank you! It was a big fear that he'd miss out on the full experience since he's never been to these parks. ♡ I appreciate your response.
@@ThePughTwo Thank you for all the info!!! My wife and I have been watching you guys in order to prepare we feel extremely confident we will get the most out of our trip because of you guys!!!
Well, since I waited 5 hours for Hagrid the first summer after it opened (included 2 rain delays), I’ll say that. But I prefer WAY less. If a popular attraction says 90 minutes I’ll go, especially if I’ve been on it before and know that most of the that wait time will be indoors.
@@ThePughTwo oh yeah. The second rain delay was my fault. I waited too long to go to the restroom and as soon as I went, that’s when the line started moving. We would’ve made onto the ride before the 2nd rain delay if I either went earlier or waited till after we got off.
@@ThePughTwo Same!! and three years later, my brother has not let me live it down. Every time we pass that last door before the motorbikes overheard room: "Remember when you just had to go to the bathroom?" haha

I have been watching your videos quite some time and over all you guys have great content and great videos ideas, but I have one critic and please guys take it as a constructive criticism, I find that when the young lady is talking many times she gets interrupted, this happens in almost all the videos, She doesn’t interrupt him when his talking but men every time she talks she can’t complete whatever she is saying with out being interrupted, let her speak 😂, but seriously other then that I enjoy your videos so I hope you guys don’t take this criticism in a bad way but in a way that might help.
Lol not at all! We welcome criticism! There’s actually a logical explanation for this and honestly we hadn’t really noticed until you pointed it out 😂 I (Anna) roughly script our videos so we don’t miss any talking points, so when we’re recording Tyler usually has some interjections that he likes to make. I’ll try to interrupt him more in the future! Lol

We here today; you guys gonna be in the parks?
Sadly no. Our next trip isn’t until opening weekend for HHN. We hope you have an awesome day, though!!
@@ThePughTwo no worries! The wife and I will keep on enjoying your videos and posts when we get back to TX!
I'm really enjoying your videos but I wish you wouldn't cut her off so much! You both bring value in what you are saying!
@@ThePughTwo yeah, Hagrid’s is a must do! I can’t wait for the Dec 10-11 OI meetup to ride it many times!
It can get crazy! Going in the morning, especially during early park admission is a great way to save some time.
I play this game everytime i ride anything. Lol😅
I’m going to universal next Friday and I’m wondering what kind of clothes should I pack/wear?
Just make sure you’re comfortable! Whatever that means to you. I typically wear some kind of shorts (athletic, Jean, etc.) and a t-shirt. Moisture wicking fabric is great. Tyler wears a t shirt, shorts (chubbies) and usually a bucket hat. Definitely wear tennis shoes!
@@ThePughTwo ok thanks😁👍
@@ethanjohnson553 we’re always happy to help!
Neat vid
Thank you!
When I went to Velocicoaster and Hagrids they both said 75 minutes before 9:00am but they moved pretty quickly and I didn’t feel it! Wound up to be about 30-35 minutes for each! Do not too bad!
Yeah they truly seem to overestimate their wait times! How awesome are both of those coasters?!
@@ThePughTwo those two coasters are the best!! Even did a virtual time slot for Hagrid an hour later to ride it again!
@@kari4107 the virtual lines are so convenient!
Ive always wanted to know how they know what the wait time is. Like where is 55 minutes vs 50? Lol
Big scary number 🤣
Glad someone noticed and mentioned it lol!
How are the crowds out there right now? I plan to go in September and just curious how it is out there.
We've seen some crazy crowds lately, however summer vacation is coming to an end so we expect it to start slowing down very soon!
@@ThePughTwo Thank you for all the info!!! My wife and I have been watching you guys in order to prepare we feel extremely confident we will get the most out of our trip because of you guys!!!
I’m going sept 7 school is back it will be way slower and still plenty hot for the water rides.
@@williamlayton1827 yes with school getting back in, things will get slower and slower!
@@williamlayton1827 Nice I get in September 5th
Well, since I waited 5 hours for Hagrid the first summer after it opened (included 2 rain delays), I’ll say that. But I prefer WAY less. If a popular attraction says 90 minutes I’ll go, especially if I’ve been on it before and know that most of the that wait time will be indoors.
Yeah, grand openings, or shortly after for some of the big attractions are wild.. but we can see waiting a ridiculous amount of time for Hagrids!
@@ThePughTwo oh yeah. The second rain delay was my fault. I waited too long to go to the restroom and as soon as I went, that’s when the line started moving. We would’ve made onto the ride before the 2nd rain delay if I either went earlier or waited till after we got off.
@@jennadair3460 Oh no! Thats is the type of luck and timing that we have haha!
@@ThePughTwo Same!! and three years later, my brother has not let me live it down. Every time we pass that last door before the motorbikes overheard room: "Remember when you just had to go to the bathroom?" haha
@@jennadair3460 Sounds like something Tyler would say to me! Haha
3.5 hours on hagrids for the virtual line
Oh wow.. thats a long time for a virtual line.
😢😩🥵
I only stay on sight at the big 3 so I won’t wait more then 30 min.
We get that!
Orlando Studios and IoA in one day with fast pass next weekend.. is it possible to get on all the rides? #missionimpossible
We think it is possible if you manage your time right and get there as early as possible and stay as late as possible!
50 minutes for Kong
Not bad at all!
Wow...i am happy. 1 hour...we totally can manage that😉.
One quick comment...your kids are going to have so much fun with you guys.🤭.
Thank you for the info.
Thank you Zolia! Haha we are happy that the info is helpful and that you feel like you can manage it! It really isnt that bad when you sit down to think about it, but can look intimidating! Hope you are having a great day!
Are you here at universal right now
Unfortunately no. Our next trip isn’t until opening weekend.
@@ThePughTwo hey so I know you get my messages so I wanted to say we are on our honeymoon right now and it’s going amazing I just wanted to say how thankful I am that your TH-cam channel came into my life it’s made one heck of a different coming to the parks thank you soo much love you guys. Btw we went on volstcoaster last night and the line was super long and the park was closed but we still got to go on the ride and even after we got told we could ride again if we wanted
@@user-Houdini127 thank you so much! This comment has made our day! We are so happy to hear that the videos have helped you have a better experience at the parks. We haven’t gotten to ride Velocicoaster at night yet, but we are sooo excited about it. We hope you have an amazing rest of your honeymoon! ❤️❤️
@@ThePughTwo thank you so much
I have been watching your videos quite some time and over all you guys have great content and great videos ideas, but I have one critic and please guys take it as a constructive criticism, I find that when the young lady is talking many times she gets interrupted, this happens in almost all the videos, She doesn’t interrupt him when his talking but men every time she talks she can’t complete whatever she is saying with out being interrupted, let her speak 😂, but seriously other then that I enjoy your videos so I hope you guys don’t take this criticism in a bad way but in a way that might help.
Lol
Typically, I’ll wait an hour
That’s about our limit, unless it’s Hagrids, then we will wait however long we need to, within reason.
nice i commented to do this video lol
We hope you enjoyed it!
I waited two and a half hours for smugglers run then i got the engineer spot…… soooo lets just say i will never ride that again.
LOL. We still need to visit Galaxy's Edge and ride all of those rides.
Let her win from time to time, lol
Hahah she is too competitive! It would make her mad if I let her win!
That last roll on velocicoaster always gets a unique scream if you listen closely
