These mileage “improvements” in battery technology need to be clarified. This is 1/2 on city roads and 1/2 on highway. If you’re on vacation and are driving mainly highway miles, cut your travel distance by at least a third.

I was issued a MY loaner, not sure what year but FSD is active. I had FSD drive me home from the service center, 15 miles in pretty heavy traffic involving a few freeway interchanges. It did fine all by itself. Since then I have been on several local trips that I had FSD drive and it is close to flawless. My guess is that you are reading about it and don't have any real experience. With my car, I wouldn't spend $8,000 to have FSD but will consider paying $99/mo to have it when I am doing more than short local trips. I suggest that you get some real hands on experience rather than expose your ignorance.

I did enjoy the free trial in April and FSD is currently several generations better today. My car required service and free loaner I was provided had FSD. While I had the loaner I had FSD drive me everywhere. It really did a great job. My wife and I are going on a road trip in several days. I rented FSD for a month which cost $99. Immediately on selecting it with app, my cars screen blanked and came back with FSD active. I did a short test drive. It works great on my car too. I am guessing that you have never driven a Tesla with FSD, and probably haven't driven a Tesla at all. Go do a free demo drive, they all have FSD, see for yourself.

A diesel engine is much cleaner than any EV on the market-this has been demonstrated (see the interview with BMW CEO). The only problem with diesel engines is their popularity and the fact that they do not generate money from taxes! The rest is pure propaganda.
Eventually but it's hard to say when that will be possible 1yr or 2yrs. Even if FSD performed 10x better than the avg human driver it's up to the regulators when they will allow full self driving. In the meantime we will need a steering wheel and pedals. Besides what about when people want to drive themselves?

Many promises in this video sounds BS. 4C charging rate does not mean the battery can charge 4C rate from start to finish, as promised. It means highest peak rate, which have typically been very narrow with high C cells. More likely real charging rate is slightly better than current rate, By the way, 1000 cycle lifetime is worse than crap for lfp cells. Typically it is between 5000-8000 cycles and in high capacity vehicle cells, 3000. 1000 cycles come back to a level where battery failure is a bit too propable already between 100000-200000km. It's not very common, but can't be ignored, so it's not good direction

As a 2022 model 3 long range owner with over 60,000 put on in 2 1/4 years. I don’t think you own one and that you believe fake news.

If I remember the documentaries I’ve watched correctly, wireless electricity was not pursued as they couldn’t find a way to make money off it
